Any man who thinks he moves God is serving a false god.
If God Himself is not at work, there is no gift. If God Himself is not at work, there is no faith. If it’s not God moving, it’s not God. Man does not and cannot will a move of God of man’s own accord. So if man is moving and God is not moving, it’s not God.

It is evident, from totally rotten fruit he bears, that Todd Bentley is a self glorifying heretic, in desperate need of repentance.
One TV show I like to watch is the program “Locked up Abroad” on the National Geographic Channel. It usually involves some unsaved person, who thinks they can get away with some crime overseas, getting caught and learning they were way better off than they thought they were before they made a bad decision for some quick cash. And usually you can see as they lead up to committing the crime, how the person even in common grace was getting plenty of hints they should not commit the crime, but they do it anyway. Often it ends sadly, because usually the person profiled gets out of prison eventually, so they feel that all is well, but they usually never come to know saving grace, they never come to know Jesus as Lord. So for me it’s a sad ending, to see many endure such and still not knowing they need a savior for more than their body. The Lord’s will be done, who He grants repentance to is of His perfect will. Still I like watching the show, because I find it has plenty of educational value about criminal justice around the world. But I just watched an episode the other day, that involved some Christian missionaries, that were “Locked up Abroad”.
Here’s the program’s description of their story and it is supposed to air again on August 2nd at 9PM.

What is not mentioned in that description, is that although Martin and Gracia were not initially kidnapped because of their faith, their captors kept them so long because of their faith and nationality. Their being both Christian and American was like the worst thing one could be to the Abu Sayyaf and also a reason for the Abu Sayyaf to just keep them around holding out for a greater ransom. Because you know Christian missionaries don’t work for anybody that has money to pay a ransom quick, so the Abu Sayyaf just held on to them waiting for somebody to pay just because they had some Christian White Americans on their hands. Martin and Gracia were with the captors before, on and after 9/11/2001. So they got to see what the Abu Sayyaf, who are also known as the “sons of Osama bin Laden”, were doing up close. They learned who Osama bin Laden was some months before most Americans knew his name well.
Well in all this, they held fast to the Lord Jesus. And that’s the real victory of it all. Martin didn’t survive (in the physical sense), but of course he’s doing even better at home with the Lord, 2 Corinthians 5:8. While his wife Gracia was rescued by the area military and now runs The Martin & Gracia Burnham Foundation. You can see the various focus areas of the foundation here. Basically the foundation works to share the message of Christ and help persecuted saints.
I just think it was a powerful story and a wonderful testimony of 2 people who kept faith in Christ in the face of persecution.

If you get the opportunity, I think theirs is a story worth watching.
Bottom line, Jesus is the only answer to remove the stain of sin. But while politicians offer proposals for various issues, I think a post over on Ron’s blog notes a matter they don’t talk about much. And really, just talking about fatherless homes won’t prevent the death that will occur on the streets TONIGHT. There are proposals to literally get troops (national guard) on the streets of Chicago.
While I don’t see government as a vehicle for ministry, I think we agree government is to maintain some level of social order. And so it just seems in all their (presidential candidates) talking, that the politicians might have a concern for those who must live in thug infested communities. I mean they are visiting war commanders in Iraq and Afghanistan, but I just wanted to quickly note the very real war within this nation, on streets politicians don’t walk.
Ron correctly mentions a culture of all out murder is in some communities in America. Jesus is the only hope, but it seems many don’t even speak about it. I mean they don’t speak about either the problem or the solution, neither is often mentioned. There’s talk about things that hurt a community, well a pack of thugs with guns does a pretty good job of destroying everything in their path. And they are doing it tonight, at a faster rate than most any other killer one can name.
I caught this over at Jesus Christology.
This basically proves anybody can say most anything and Todd will run with it. It all helps HIS SCAM, so why would Todd bother to check?
Check out the 2 videos below and under that I have a direct link to the bogus claim, that at the moment is STILL up on Todd Bentley’s site.
Direct link to the bogus story on Todd Bentley’s so-called ministry web site!
What needs to be done for him to make it obvious he’s a fraud? Knee a man with cancer in the gut and the man still have cancer afterward? Oh that already happened! Well perhaps if he talks about kicking a little old lady in the face with a biker boot, that might make it obvious? Oh he’s already done that too. But he’s still got a crowd that falls for his mess. So, very SAD.

Another good one from our YouTube brother Bezel333.
The bottom line, is that she once was a Roman Catholic and has brought all her mystic claims and assertions of communion elements being the actual body and blood of Christ (see this video about Roman Catholic belief in transubstantiation), with healing or/and salvific properties. As if breaking the bread we are breaking Christ’s body, in such a literal since we should feel “breaking” in our spirit. As the Roman Catholic mass is a form of attempting to sacrifice Christ. And she has some hyper charismatics going for it.
She claims she saw Jesus. When we know people in scripture that saw the risen Lord either were or became disciples of Him in truth and didn’t run to cults seeking Him. Paul noted he was the last to see Christ, 1 Corinthians 15:8. And I find Paul’s claim of last to be the LAST, to actually see the resurrected Christ. All who have claimed such since have left nothing but a trail of cults in their wake.
Avoid such bad teachings and when you do take communion, remember the Lord’s finished work on your behalf. Without efforts on your part to feel you should get something immediate and tangible in return. See: 1 Corinthians 11:23-34.
I agree 100% with Bezel333, when he mentions the lies being promoted are of another jesus.
(Efforts to promote the cult of Mary are not allowed in comments here, 2 John 1:10-11)
He returned yesterday and the pulpit TV pimpateers of “God TV” are all giddy, that they can continue begging for money with the name “Todd Bentley” included.
TODD BENTLEY BACK AT LAKELAND FROM THIS FRIDAY
|
Obviously they saw all the money leaving Lakeland and Todd is back, to try and keep the scam afloat.
And of course his leaving once he was exposed, made the whole thing more obviously a fraudulent.
The media reports still exposing the madness for the fraud that it is are still rolling in.
Rowdy revival (emphasis added)
|
But Todd, the man you kneed to supposedly heal his cancer STILL HAS CANCER!
…
Expecting critics, Bentley’s ministry distributed a list of 15 people it said were cured, and vetted by his ministry, with all but three of their stories “medically verified.”Yet two phone numbers given out by the ministry were wrong, six people did not return telephone messages and only two of the remainder, when reached by The Associated Press, said they had medical records as proof of their miracle cure.
However, one woman would not make her physician available to confirm the findings, and the other’s doctor did not return calls despite the patient’s authorization.
…
Supposedly thousands healed, but not a single doctor willing to confirm it and lots of bogus information given to the media. Todd Bentley is running a big scam.
Another similar article with more detail notes:
…
Bentley also insists he hasn’t accepted a cent from the nightly offerings in three months at Lakeland, instead putting it into the ministry and living on his regular salary from Fresh Fire. According to records from the Canadian Revenue Agency, the ministry as a whole made $2.7 million in 2006 revenue, the most recent year available.Bentley would not disclose donations from the revival, but said it carries a $35,000 daily operating cost. Offerings aren’t taken until four hours or so into the nightly proceedings, he notes, when all are tired and some have left.
…
The most recent actual data available regarding finances is 2 years old. They’ve been collecting money for months and can’t show accounting for it.

First I want to mention, I’m not saying that you should not get advice about finances from people who have knowledge in that area. Just as I’m not trying to say don’t seek to learn how to bake pies from a baker. What I am warning about in this post, is how sometimes some who are unlearned and in church leadership or are just straight up pulpit pimps sometimes allow ungodly people to address their assembly with ungodly teaching and it is all spun as if it is the Word of God. When actually it is just the opposite. However, I certainly think all saints should seek to learn to be good stewards. We just have to be careful who we seek to teach us, IF we’re trying to learn something in Christ’s Name. Certain people are good for training saints; while certain other people are totally unfit for addressing a church assembly and being presented to the sheep in the Lord’s name. Robert Kiyosaki is one of the people who is unfit for presenting his material and himself before any church assembly in any teaching capacity and I will explain why in this post.
The Word of God explicitly says:
Matthew 13:22 (New American Standard Bible)
|
and
1 Timothy 6:3-5 (New American Standard Bible)
|
So the church must be careful not to bring in teachers who are using the Word with a focus on the deceitfulness of wealth, or using a cover of godliness as a means of gain. Such is counter to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. All led into such have the word choked and are unfruitful. Sure their bank account might look good, but in the eyes of God their ground is infertile.
Also, the church has to avoid teaming up with pagans, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. God and money cannot both be served.
Matthew 6:24 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Robert Kiyosaki is a man who serves wealth and does not believe on God through Jesus Christ. He makes this clear in a post on his own blog, that I read a while back.
(It is best that you click the link below and read his blog post in full.)
Go Forth and Multiply — Your Money - by Robert Kiyosaki - Posted on Monday, August 21, 2006, 12:00AM
|
He makes it clear he’s not a Christian. He also makes it clear he does not think well of people who proclaim THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION AND ALL OTHER PATHS LEAD TO DESTRUCTION. Proclaiming such truth, Acts 4:12, is of course “fanatical”. Kiyosaki notes he’s not trying to speak for God or claiming any level of biblical scholarship. He’s just found something in the Bible, that he’s using to promote his own feelings about wealth. The Bible is clear about those who mishandle the Word of God.
2 Peter 3:10-18 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Notice the Lord will destroy what is here and He’s not coming back to collect a monetary payment from His sheep, the wealth of this world will be destroyed. Your bank account balance won’t matter, because the bank and all in it will be burned up! But those who mishandle the scriptures do so to their own destruction and sadly Robert Kiyosaki is an example of just that.
Kiyosaki goes on to mishandle the parable of talents, claiming it to be all about making money. And says this:
…
If your master is God, then God’s joy is the abundance derived from making money, which in turn creates more abundance. If that means God doesn’t like poor people, then so be it.
…
He tries to make it clear he’s not attempting to play a religious leadership role, just explaining how he makes use of the Bible. He’s almost screaming that he twists scripture for his own personal advantage, if you pay close attention to what he’s saying.
He closes the write-up with the following:
…
One of the more financially dysfunctional notions I hear from poor people is that “money doesn’t make you happy.” I don’t know about you, but I’m much happier when I have an abundance of money. So does God feel the same way — is He happier when you’re rich, or when you’re poor? That’s a question you’ll have to answer for yourself. I think you know how I feel.
Of course he’s happier the more money he has, HE LOVES MONEY!
He is not a believer, but plays right into the prosperity doctrine heresy promoted by TD Jakes and Eddie Long perfectly! They fall into the thorns every time.
Now I don’t enjoy being critical of Kiyosaki, because he’s clearly an unbeliever and who am I to judge who God will judge, 1 Corinthians 5:12 [click to expand link]? But I have to warn the church, not to take in someone as a teacher who promotes a false gospel.
In my time with pulpit pimp Eddie Long, the Wednesday night “Bible Study”, which really was just his Wednesday night show, at times became all about the teachings of Robert Kiyosaki. I seriously thought given the level of promotion, that Robert Kiyosaki was a Christian and we were taught to listen to the words of Kiyosaki as something on par with the prophetic. And this is because Eddie Long, TD Jakes and others who promote Robert Kiyosaki are promoting the false prosperity doctrine. No room for Luke 6:20-26 in their doctrine.
Kiyosaki asserts the parable of the talents is all about money. And once upon a time, when I was buying into the delusion I felt the same way. As if God was coming to check bank accounts. The parable of the talents has no more to do about money than the parable of the sower in Matthew 13. The money is nothing more than an example used of a spiritual reality, not at all about the rich being better for attaining wealth. What Kiyosaki missed, was what comes later in the same chapter he found the parable of the talents in.
Matthew 25:31-46 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Jesus was explaining that those who do as He commands in taking care of His sheep and proclaiming the gospel will be rewarded. Those who do not do as He commanded, most importantly those who failed to believe on Him as the ONLY hope for salvation will be tossed into the lake of fire for eternity. And if you really trust Him, certainly you will share the message of salvation on Him when presented the opportunity. We have to use what God has given us, to proclaim the saving message of His Son, as led by the Holy Spirit. The talents are our means to share the gospel as the Lord leads and the return is what He will reap, all who believe the salvation message. Just as salvation is predestinated for the believer, so is the sharing of the message and who will receive it.
So then, in the parable of the talents, who are the money changers/bankers and the talk about interest? Understand that the Jews were forbidden from earning interest from their own people, they could only make interest off outsiders, Deuteronomy 23:19-20. The church is to grow from our sharing the message of salvation with the wicked. Those who believe and are born again were not only predestinated to do so, but are also the increasing interest the Lord will collect, which includes even us.
Pray for Robert Kiyosaki, to one day know true salvation if the Lord wills, but know he is not a man who should be addressing any church assembly. Sadly, too many who preach a false gospel promote and even hire him to speak to church groups. Like false prosperity teacher TD Jakes has had him speak at his MegaFlesh MegaFest event. Another who I did not detail in this post is Suze Orman. We hope that she might some day come to know the truth of salvation, but for now she is not to be speaking over any assembly of saints either and you can read why over at Jesus Christology.
Our brother on YouTube bezel333 has made a video about Todd Bentley and Bentley’s false doctrine. You can view it below.

Check out the post over on Jesus Christology titled Hey Hey Hey John McCain Says It Is OK To Be Gay If You Want To Adopt!.
McCain is basically having an “I did vote for the $87 billion dollars, before I voted against it” moment! He’s trying to play both sides of the issue. Saying he’s “against” homosexual adoption, but claiming it is “better” than a child not being adopted. Which means in reality John McCain is A-OK with homosexual adoption. And notice he tried to “shield” himself by touting he’s adopted a child. With all the money he and his 2nd wife who he came to through adultery have, they could adopt 20 kids. Is it such a feat to be rich and adopt 1 child from a foreign country? I’m just saying, the bragging of his own good deeds stinks as much as Jesus said it stinks.
Matthew 6:1-4 (New American Standard Bible)

For McCain to claim he finds a child living in the mist of abomination to be somewhat suitable, it’s like saying you’re against abortion, but OK with it if the alternative is a single parent home. And Barack Hussein Obama, Junior’s jabber about abortion and when life begins sounds just like that! McCain is OK with punishing a baby with the death penalty of abortion, if the child was conceived in rape or incest, as if such a child deserves to die. And Alan Keyes exposed McCain once too.

These politicians are trying to say just enough, to convince everybody that they agree with them on EVERYTHING.
