A Full Recitation of the Book of Hebrews, by Ryan Ferguson.

by @ 12:01 am. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

This past Sunday, I was able to see Ryan Ferguson do a full recitation of the entire book of Hebrews. From Chapter 1 Verse 1 all the way through Chapter 13 verse 25. I had no idea it was even about 50 minutes long when sitting in on it, because hearing the Word of God flowing so clearly it did not seem “long” at all. I don’t know how Ryan was able to remember every word from the book of Hebrews, but hearing it all at once was great. I certainly have never gone through Hebrews in such a short period of time, but hearing it all at once was really good.

So the assembly recorded the audio and I’ve uploaded a copy to Blip.tv (I don’t want to crash a church web site), since Blip.tv allows in full anything you can keep under 100MB in size. This way, maybe this will get even more distribution. (You with blogs can embed this on your blog or web site too.) You can hear it all below. After the first few seconds, the video goes dark, because this is a copy of the audio. So just start it up and hear the Word of God. Ryan presents Hebrews from the English Standard Version.

Some Hebrews are Sacrificing Animals Again. Lamb’s Blood Can’t Save Anyone.

by @ 6:04 pm. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

Unfortunately, many Hebrews still have not come to know the Lord Jesus and so they are still slaughtering animals. When the final sacrifice for sin has already been given, Jesus Christ.

Jewish Priestly Passover Sacrifice
They’re warming up for doing it in the old temple!

That’s the non-bloddy preview. If you want to see the full video, blood and all, see here.

Please read below, especially anyone who feels the above video is a good thing.

Hebrews 9:11-28 (New American Standard Bible)

11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; 12 and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17 For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. 18 Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. 19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “THIS IS THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT WHICH GOD COMMANDED YOU.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood. 22 And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year by year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Now I know Messianic Jews already know, but all other Hebrews and all in the world should know, that you will not find salvation for your soul in the blood of an animal. The only hope now is in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, done once and for ALL who will call on the name of the Lord Jesus as the Son of God who rose on the 3rd day, to be saved and baptized by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:12-13 (New American Standard Bible)

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”

God has already given His Only Begotten Son for sin. There is no reason to seek salvation in something less, such as the blood of animals. Yes under The Law there were ritual sacrifices, shadows of what Christ has done, The Law has changed.

Hebrews 7:12 (New American Standard Bible)

12 For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law also.

Salvation is in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, no longer seek salvation in the blood of an animal.

Do Not Be Conformed to This World!

by @ 9:50 am. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

The Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY hope anyone has for salvation. We who believe on Him, that He is the Son of God, died for sin and rose again. We who claim the Holy Spirit indwells us, as our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We have to always strive against flesh and should continue that fight till God takes us home with Him and removes this flesh from us, to grant us new and perfect bodies.

God has instructed us as follows, using an apostle named Paul to convey the message in scripture.

Galatians 5:16-26 (New American Standard Bible)

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,

20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,

21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

26 Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

The following video shows some things we want to avoid.

Can You Name Three Secular Songs That Promote Purity?

Usually I put the video first, but this time I felt it best to give you some solid scripture first ;) .

But wait, there’s more!

Romans 12:1-2 (New American Standard Bible)

1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Onward Christian soldiers, keep up the fight against the flesh! And when you click that link, notice how that song was NOT created with any desire to profit from it. Think of how it contrasts with what was mentioned in the video.

Let’s Not Dwell on What You Were Told About a Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Let’s See What the Bible Says.

by @ 12:00 am. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

Many of us, with the cadre of bad doctrines we learned over the years, were told all Christians would be “raptured” before the tribulation, a pre-tribulation rapture. There are movies about it and it’s very much the popular thinking, sort of like so-called church tithing. But reading the Bible, I’ve tried to find legitimate support for the pre-tribulation view. I’ve reviewed outlines from pre-tribulation rapture teachers, even some teachers I respect claim there will be a pre-tribulation rapture. However, in all my studies actually using scripture as the guide, I see no support for a pre-tribulation rapture at all. I find it as clear as Matthew 24 and it’s post tribulation, just as the Lord Jesus said from His own mouth. Some claim the apostles indicated pre-tribulation rapture, but I’ve found the cited scriptures by pre-tribulation teachers only support post tribulation as Christ said and the apostles all affirm.

Here is a good movie to check out. It’s a bit more realistic than the “Left Behind” stuff. It details why the Bible clearly notes post tribulation for the Lord’s return.

Junkyard
The uncomfortable truth about the rapture.

I’ve got no issue with discussion of pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib rapture here. But I don’t entertain any comments from Preterists, people who feel a rapture or partial rapture already occurred. I won’t spend time debating something I’ve debated already in other places and is heresy. (What Hank Hanegraaff has been doing in that regard [and his soft shoeing when it comes to speaking against many of the false teachers, that often are the people who let him into their buildings to peddle his goods] is just awful.)

antichrist One Has Landed. Pope Benedict XVI in America. Why This Event is Nothing to Cheer About!

by @ 3:00 am. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

The head of the cult of Mary has arrived and you see all American media and our President fawning over him. If the antichrist Pope is getting this much attention, the Anti-christ to come will certainly receive an even grander entrance and who is to say if criticism will even be allowed at that point. Every Pope is viewed by his followers as the vicar of Christ. As if he is the man to listen to and seek after. They call him their “Holy Father” in violation of Matthew 23:9. This all makes any sitting Pope an anti-christ by default. Because he is assuming glory that belongs to God alone and keeping people tied in traditions of men, while he lives like a superstar. All of what Matthew 23 speaks against. If you read Matthew 23 with any knowledge of the Pope and Roman Catholic tradition, you’ll know it speaks against Benedict (and against the whole of Roman Catholicism) from start to finish.

I’ve found some videos that really show how messed up this event is and how messed up Pope Benedict is.

Pope Benedict XVI Visits Washington, New York, USA America

Pope Benedict XVI Exposed Worshipping at Jewish Temple

Below are links to every fact mentioned in the 2nd video above. Listed in order as presented in the video.

Benedict at times does some nifty double-talk in his books. In parts he claims to “believe” Jews need to believe on Jesus, but then he claims to leave it in “God’s hands” and does not mention sharing the Gospel message with Jews. Of course he went to a synagogue and didn’t preach Jesus and Him crucified. He didn’t offer any words on par with Acts 2 and Acts 4, he didn’t reason with them from the scriptures like Paul would. He just sat there, clapped and said some words to make everyone smile. Then in his book, after he speaks of feeling Jews need to accept Jesus as Messiah, he speaks of them not being excluded from salvation as if they can be saved without confessing to Christ before physical death. He acts like somehow they will be saved. It’s very similar to what I’ve heard in the past from liars such as Pat Robertson and John Hagee. If you read pages 150 and 151 of the book God and the World you’ll see how he goes from one extreme to the other in just 2 short pages. (And even on page 150 he speaks as if all Jews will be saved.) But he’s got his own worshiping Mary, so this is all par for the course.

The Great “You Don’t Have Enough Faith” Lie. And the Great “Don’t Take Medicine or See Doctors” Lie.

by @ 2:35 pm. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

Do Madeline Neumann’s parents now realize they had faith, but were deceived?

Word-Faith Kills Again/11yr.old Dies From Treatable Diabetes

(Hat tip to YouTubber jterry316.)

That child is dead and the Lord allowed that child to die, not just because it was her “time” to go, but because her parents are deceived. It was not because they lacked faith in God’s ability, but they are deceived in how to do something like treat a disease God has allowed all people to know how to treat.

1 Timothy 5:23 (New American Standard Bible)

23 No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.

When the Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ named Paul wrote to Timothy, God did not have Paul to tell Timothy he needed more “faith” when he had treatable medical problems. God did not have Paul to rush to see Timothy, to pray healing for Timothy. God had Paul to simply give Timothy the widely known treatment, stop drinking so much water and drink a little wine. Historically it is noted that the water in the area Timothy was in had some issues and we see from scripture Timothy had some medical problems. The recommendation of a little wine to a man who avoided strong drink was the prescription Paul gave to Timothy. Because it was the known means to fix the problem. A little wine was the medicine for that matter. And it was a prescription even heathens were aware of. The bottom line is, Timothy was sick and Paul DID NOT tell Timothy to rest on faith, he knew Timothy HAD FAITH, he gave Timothy the common prescription for fixing the problem. A little wine.

Many saints have been deceived into feeling that they need some great mountain of faith, or they will suffer all kinds of catastrophe.

Matthew 17:14-20 (New American Standard Bible)

14 When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,

15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and is very ill; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.

16 “I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not cure him.”

17 And Jesus answered and said, “You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.”

18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once.

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?”

20 And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

This verse is often cited in the Word of Faith movement, the cult of “little gods”. They feel if they will within themselves enough “faith” they’ll have and do anything, because Jesus said nothing would be impossible. What they are missing is the fullness of the statement. Jesus was NOT trying to get people to have faith for healings. He was pressing them to have faith that HE IS THE CHRIST. The miracles were all simply to help them see He is the Christ. The Word of Faith movement, that cult of “little gods” and other similar cults have twisted the gospel AWAY FROM FAITH IN CHRIST FOR SALVATION OF THE SOUL into faith for all things of this world, this life and the flesh. One has to wonder why people in the Word of Faith movement even eat? Why don’t they just have “faith” that their bellies will be full? Nothing impossible right? They realize their physical body needs certain things to survive, including food and water. When the body breaks down, it needs things such as medicines and other treatments God willed man to have via common grace. Just as we eat and drink for our physical survival, we also should use medical treatments when the physical body has need of them.

We know Jesus is the Christ, He paid the price for our sins and He’s on the Right Hand of the Father. During the establishment of His church, some still did not believe. People that God wanted to convince via miracles. So THE APOSTLES were granted power to do things as Christ and greater. In John 14 Jesus was pressing His Apostles to fully believe He is the Son of God and declared what they would be able to do if they did. They were to work ministering His Gospel, as He declared from the Father. Jesus having the fullness of deity, God in flesh, perfect in every way, because He is as His Father who gave Him all, God, John 1:1 [click to expand link], John 1:14 [click to expand link] and John 3:35 [click to expand link]

We humans are not God, not even with a small “g”. We are sinners saved by grace. We who believe as Christ wanted His Apostles to believe, that He truly is the Son of God. The Apostles in working for Christ in the establishment of His church were granted full handle of all gifts of the Spirit. We have the same Holy Spirit as them, but the Lord did not declare we all would have command of all gifts, 1 Corinthians 12. So we don’t have the ability to declare NOTHING is impossible to us, we simply live by faith and accept as the Lord wills.

James 4:15 (New American Standard Bible)

15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”

Like Timothy who was not an Apostle and did not have all gifts of the Spirit, he could not overcome his ailments without a medicinal treatment, wine. We use what the Lord has made available as the Lord wills, we don’t turn away from it.

1 Timothy 4:1-5 (New American Standard Bible)

1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,

2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,

3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.

4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;

5 for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

No hungry man should turn down any food given to him and no sick person should turn away medicine to cure their ailments. It’s not putting faith in man to take medicine no more than its putting faith in man to eat a steak. (Thank God for steaks :) .) No good saint puts their faith in the medicine or in the steak or in man, but in Christ. We go to the doctor because he has studied how the body works and can help maintain it. When our car breaks, we don’t leave it on the side of the road waiting in “faith” for NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE faith to repair the car. Using what the Lord has willed us to have accessible to us for the body to survive is not bad or any lack of faith. God has given the things for our use and we should be grateful for it. So long as it is not something we know harms the body and we know the TRUTH that Jesus is Lord, we should make full use of what God has granted to us, thankfully, it’s sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

This does not mean God won’t ever do something miraculous, but it’s as He wills and we must use things obviously at our disposal rather than refusing them. Accept easy access to a medical cure as a miracle in its self, considering what saints in other nations suffer through. They would love to have easier medical treatment of some of their physical ailments.

So Word of Faith people, please turn from that “little god” heresy. Enough people have already died. And I know not all of you go as far as Madeline Neumann’s parents, I used to be one of you myself and I always went to the doctor. However, I have seen someone refuse medical care till death in “faith”, I know some who are very ill for slacking off on doctor prescribed medicine and your wayward doctrine causes you to error even if not in cases of medicine. You can only do as the Lord wills and should not take yourself as some super being with nothing you can’t do. You do the work of God as the Lord commands, accept what He has granted you with thanksgiving and contentment and keep faith on Him for eternal life.
