And if they were earth worshipers who wanted to meet to have a “save the earth, Green Power” meeting they’d never be disturbed either. Only the “Jesus Freaks” get hassled.

A local pastor and his wife claim they were interrogated by a San Diego County official, who then threatened them with escalating fines if they continued to hold bible studies in their home, 10News reported.

Can anyone imagine any county officials threatening Muslims in a similar way for holding a home Koran study? Hardly. They’d be all-of-a-sudden very tolerant about that, you can be sure.

You are all right. Persecution will definetly weed out the fairweather christians and those that are true to their faith. When we are under intense pressure our “true colors” began to show. I pray should we ever have to undergo intense persecution that God will give use the strength to endure and proclaim His Word.

Too many preachers are preaching a feel good Gospel. I am concerned that christians won’t be prepared for the more perilous times. It now seems to be all about my season, my breakthrough, gimme gimme. These are critical yet exciting times because we know it won’t be long before Jesus returns. Will He find faith in the earth?

Yes, persecution is an undeniable promise to the church. Hate, exclusion, persecution, death. Its all there. You wouldnt know that listening to the rosy, upbeat, stay happy and rich messages coming from today’s hirelings.

We should prepare by clinging to God’s word and knowing in our hearts that in hour he will stand with us.

I must say the fat, indulgent church in America is well overdue for some persecution. In some regards I almost welcome it, Im so sick of this faux christianity.

Persecution is the most common feature of the church of Jesus Christ. It is certainly much more guaranteed than the health and wealth that the false teachers have been shoving down the American church’s throats for so long.

Persecution is promised to all who live godly in Christ. For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, (Philippians 1:29)

If those of us in America are true believers, then we will be persecuted in some way. God grants us grace in those times to endure it patiently and without reviling our persecutors, but rather to pray for them.

However, like Paul, we may use whatever legal rights we have at our disposal to challenge wrongful treatment. Also, we are to flee if danger is too extreme, as Jesus says to do and as Paul so often did. If those measures fail, then it has been granted to the Lord’s enemies to prevail over us in the matter.

If we are persecuted for doing what is righteous, then the Spirit of God and of glory rests upon us, as Peter says and great is our reward in Heaven.
