(CNN) — A Saudi judge recently refused to annul a marriage between an 8-year-old girl and a 47-year-old man — a union apparently arranged by the girl’s father to settle his debts — a lawyer in the case told CNN.
On Saturday, the judge, Sheikh Habib Abdallah al-Habib, dismissed a petition brought by the girl’s mother because she “is not the legal guardian of the girl,” the woman’s lawyer Abdullah al-Jutaili said.
“Therefore, she cannot represent her daughter in these proceedings,” al-Jutaili said.
Her parents are separated, he said.
According to the lawyer, the girl’s father arranged the marriage in order to settle his debts with the man, who is “a close friend” of his.
The judge did ask for a pledge from the husband, who was in court, not to consummate the marriage until the girl reaches puberty, according to al-Jutaili.
The judge ruled that when the girl reaches puberty, she will have the right to request a divorce by filing a petition with the court, the lawyer said.

But they tell us that having their system of laws would make things so much better. They’re trying to spread Sharia law throughout Europe right now and will do the same in the USA if given enough opportunity. The so-called Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, has been saying that Britain should warm up to Islamic law. Beware of men who wear funny looking hats! They are warned about in Matthew 23.

Taxpayers helped prop up a company that should have failed, where the execs still want to live the good life at others’ expense. To date, they have received TWO SHOTS at the bailout money. Now, they want to introduce this destructive element into the US via our financial system?!
It’s bad enough that other foreign interests have investments on these shores (Europe & China, specifically, with their pagan and demonic rituals). Such investments provide a very dangerous precedent where our Constitutional rights and freedoms will be eroded by foreign interests that do not like nor respect America nor its citizens. This country has made a loooooooooot of enemies. What better way to bring your enemy country down on its knees by having stake in its financial dealings??
