This documentary leave me thinking of Ecc.1:18
“For in much wisdom is much grief,
And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.”

In the last few minutes of the clip, one inventor is concerned with the use of his invention in 50 years, if it will be abused. My belief is yes. Human beings without Christ, are wicked, morally bankrupt and abusive. Therefore these technologies, some made with the best of intentions, will ultimately cause much grief.

We should not worry though, just keep praying for Gods’ continued grace. Good post IC, somthing else to talk to the Lord about.

Well, I was sort of wondering how these sorts of things might be used against Christians or others (but especially Christians) who don’t prescribe to certain views that might be mandated in the future. Especially when you consider things like: http://gcmwatch.wordpress.com/2008/07/21/persecution-over-homosexuality-looms-for-brazilian-christians/

IC, the only way I can even think about all this and not be scared out of my mind is to go back to Matt.24 and settle it there. These are definitely endtime tools that will be used against true believers. As we stand our ground in Christ, we will be considered criminals. I agree with Vaughn, “the same folks that invented these devices…..will one day curse the tracking/monitering devices..”

You are correct, we have nothing at all to fear, but God.

  2. Vaughn Says:

This has got to be the age where knowledge will increase, but I thought of something while watching, the same folks that invent these devices as well as the ones that gain from their use, will one day curse the tracking/monitoring devices that they are with well paid gain, are destroying the lives of the innocent.

@ IC, didn’t think the video would hold my attn. for 2 hrs, but it did!

GOOGLE REPORTS FLU SEARCHES TO FEDS

    Tue Nov 11 2008 15:44:50 ET

We know how you’re feeling, we know if you’re sick. We’ll report it to the goverment.

GOOGLE will launch a new tool that will help U.S. federal officials track sickness. ‘Flu Trends’ uses search terms that people put into the Web-based search engine to figure out where influenza is heating up, and notify the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in real time.

GOOGLE claims it would keep individual user data confidential. “GOOGLE FLU TRENDS can never be used to identify individual users because we rely on anonymized, aggregated counts of how often certain search queries occur each week,” the company said.

Dr. Lyn Finelli, chief of influenza surveillance at the CDC: “One thing we found last year when we validated this model is it tended to predict surveillance data. The data are really, really timely. They were able to tell us on a day-to-day basis the relative direction of flu activity for a given area. They were about a week ahead of us. They could be used … as early warning signal for flu activity.”
