If you’re going to defend the money heresy, we who warn against it might as well help you have all the lies lines you’ll need. Besides, we’ve heard them all before.
OK heretics, you’re now fully equipped to perform your evil deeds.

One of the big complaints that a fellow board member raised about me naming names at now, my old church, is that I was causing “a disturbance” because people like Benny Hinn may be getting more people saved than he is ripping off. He cited Philippians 1:16-18 for his case: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
His argument was that what I was doing was disruptive and unproductive to the Body; because, if Paul did not mind Christ being preached out of selfish ambition, like Benny Hinn or Copeland were doing, why should I care? And, I should consider that I was actually doing was wrong.
The “district theologian” for the A/G in New Jersey agreed in principle. He told me that he does not endorse the practice of naming names. He said that, for example, there was a woman on staff at his office who was saved at a Benny Hinn crusade. She since had a testimony of living a righteous life. So, what good would it do for him to denounce Hinn to her now?
These views had me going at first. It dawned on me later that Hinn, et al did not preach Christ, but a different Jesus (one whom Hinn presents as performing miracles which those attending never receive), manifesting a different spirit (knocking people over with a wave of his hand as proof of this spirit,)(2 Cor. 11:4).
I cannot imagine that Paul would have rejoiced in such kind of false “preaching of Christ” as these modern predators are doing.
About this lady who may be saved, it certainly is in spite of Hinn, not because of him. In any case, sooner or later for the sake of her soul, she needs to be told that Hinn is a wolf and false prophet who is scamming the people with lies about miracles and his so-called divine revelations. Without her shepherds warning her, she may be still unsuspectingly contributing to his ministry and advising others to do so as well. If so, she (and those whom she advises) is a partaker of Hinn’s evil deeds (2 john 10-11) and can come under judgment.
So, what good is this man’s “expert theology” if his own people are left in danger by this cowardly policy of “not naming names?”
It has made me lose respect for these denominational leaders.

I thank the Lord for this blog, esp. for last week’s “master class” on the Word of Faith movement. People, for than ever, need to re-discover the Word and flee from the false teachers
