Really, This Is Why I Personally Cannot Vote For McCain Or Obama.

by @ 2:16 pm. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

I have mentioned many reasons why I can’t personally vote for either of them. And my reasons against them are some of the reasons I have against most everybody else running. (And if I don’t like a US Presidential candidate for the same reasons I don’t like McCain or Obama, trust me, I’ve got other reasons I won’t be voting for them. Yes, I’ve reviewed the entire lot that is running, even the smaller parties and pure Independents also. None are getting my vote, not this time.) But John Sidney McCain, III and Barack Hussein Obama, Junior are the big names favored to win. So I’ll make this post in their regard and it can be understood for others. With McCain and Obama, I’ve pointed out how they both act like something other than Christians, although they claim the faith. So their idolatry alone given 1 Corinthians 5 puts them at a “so-called brother” status of which I’m not to associate myself with. That alone is reason for me to strongly never endorse them. And you who read this blog know I’ve got countless posts more. But there’s really one core reason even if all else was OK, which is why I can’t vote for either man.

Proverbs 6:16-19 (New American Standard Bible)

16 There are six things which the LORD hates,
Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
And hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that run rapidly to evil,
19 A false witness who utters lies,
And one who spreads strife among brothers.

Now each side (Obama supporters versus McCain supporters) has their reasons to claim the other fulfills some or all of that scripture noted above. I see it in both of their policies and their own lives in various ways. Most pronounced, being Obama’s advocacy for government permitting murder of babies in the womb and McCain’s advocacy of using babies as lab rats in “embryonic stem cell research”. And there’s much more, but what I’ve noted is more than enough. It is a line I refuse to cross. The bottom line is, they promote things the Lord hates, so I will not and cannot support either of them.

And personally speaking, I feel abortion and “embryonic stem cell research” needs to be nationally banned, as slavery has been. I don’t find “states rights” to be a sufficient solution to the problem. States rights was not sufficient for slavery, so it’s certainly not sufficient for murder.

That’s my opinion and Lord willing I’m sticking to it!

Some may say, well McCain or Obama wants to reduce (or eliminate) the number of a certain style of baby murder while they are permissive of another. I say, I can’t look at a single one of my children and say I’d be OK with losing a single one. So these men that advocate keeping legal the murder of a single American baby for someone’s convenience or medical advancement won’t get my vote.

I find it amazing that people who call themselves christians put God’s position on any subject, lower or of no account, when dealing with politics. From experience, “christians” says, Obamas’ stance on abortion, and Palins’ stance on homosexuality, (on the fence), is only one point of contention and not enough to be denounced. Do they need anything else? They however, place importance on the promises that these people make and whether they are democrats or republicans rather than what is important to our SOVEREIGN GOD.

If they thought about those babies for a moment as if the babies were CHRISTIANS, I wonder if they’d come to the same conclusions? I mean is a man who allows open murder of Christians worse than a guy who does not allow open murder of Christians, but allows Christians to die being used as laboratory rats? Or that allows “states to decide” how Christians can be murdered?

It was only last night that I had one such discussion with a “christian” sister. In addition to the “only one point” arguement, there was the “we are all sinners” arguement. But as you said, “or that allows “state to decide” how christians can be murdered, or in my daughters case, “why not let all pedofiles go”, as we are all sinners. This is the hypocricy of “nominal chistians”, they decide on which sin to uphold or downplay depending on their feelings, not on thus said the Lord. You know IC, on reflection, I feel great sadness and at the same time great awe over this and other matters relating to christians today. Sadness because so many are deluded and great awe and gratitude that God saw it fit to open my eyes. It is a very humbleing experience each time I remember that I was there at one time. There is also a sense of fright that, had it not be for the Lord I too could have been one of Obama/Biden/McCain/Palin worshipers. This is a fine example of how easy it will be for the anti-christ to rule.

I feel you on this brother - excellent post. I participated in Georgia’s early voting program a few weeks ago, and I thank God through Jesus Christ that I stuck to my convictions and didn’t vote for McCain or Obama. I’m actually working on a post about it to detail my feelings (as if they matter in the big picture). I will say that it was one of the toughest things that I’ve ever done (or didn’t do, in this case). I was seriously struggling with voting for Obama because of the whole “history is on our side thing” - and I thought for a moment “who will know - I can swallow hard and vote for Obama and keep it to myself”. Like I said, I’ll detail it in my post (stay tuned  ), but it was very difficult.

But God is faithful - and I believe that He is pleased that I stood my ground, rather, I stood His ground.

    To God be the glory!

Yea I mentioned that video at the end of this post in an “update”. But yes, even that copy has been removed. That copy was removed by the YouTubber who put it up. I guess they wanted to take it down themselves before it was taken down by somebody else.

    Finally,
Somebody who has this pegged right on the head. IC, you have this exactly right.
