Motorbikes Have No Place In Church Assembly Meetings. The Dangers Of Relevant And Seeker Sensitive Stunts!

What can I say, this is just insanity. If a motorbike shows up in your church meeting, there’s a problem.

I hope this is the last time we see something like that going on at what is supposed to be a church meeting. In physical terms, the Lord might not continue to grant mercy and next time somebody might be really badly injured or worse.

The Sanctuary and Altar are to be a Place of Holiness and Reverence and Respect, allowing Motorcycles and whatever other Blasphemous activities to take place before the Altar Of Worship is Common place anymore.I remember a incident in My Church of 26 years where Happy New Year Type party favors were passed out One Sunday Morning,Personally I Shuddered ,It was a Red Flag for Me personally as I have always regarded the Altar and Pulpit as Holy Ground.I believe it was a year later after 26 years I left My church as Some other Incidents Concerning the Altar took Place.

I feel the assembling of the saints is what should be respected and not treated as something common, rather than any particular object or place in a building. Given the people are the temple of the Holy Spirit, rather than any part of a building. And where saints gather in His name, the Lord is in the midst, Matthew 18:20 and 1 Corinthians 6:19.

I also recall,John Jacobs and His “Power Team” which too Me was a Sign of things too come for the Desecration Of Gods Altars.in Churches across Our Country.

Jesus Christ said that God’s house is supposed to be a house of prayer. Of course, Jesus Christ lived under the old covenant and was speaking of the temple whose veil was ripped and replaced under the new covenant with the sanctuary in heaven made without human hands.

So, I must say that I am liberal when it comes to such things. However, all things that are lawful for us are not expedient. Therefore, while I do see how the “Power Team” exhibits are very useful in gaining the attention of the young, teaching the young lessons, and in evangelism, perhaps activities such as this should be held OUTSIDE the sanctuary. Or better yet, as an evangelistic youth rally at a secular setting, like in a public park or at a civic center.

Healtheland, but like with an adult that is going to a “seeker sensitive” spot for the “cool music”, is a group like the “Power Team” going to draw children who want to hear the truth or those who simply desire to be entertained?

I do understand that children have childish things, but it seems something such as the “Power Team” could be the warm up for similar in their adult lives.

I know growing up, Jewish kids I went to school with had to go to Hebrew school after public school classes in the day. Far as I know, it was nothing entertaining, but them being trained. Of course I’m not saying Christian children should be sent to Talmud Jewish Hebrew schools, but Christian children are trained in secular education in public schools without so many gimmicks. It seems they could learn good things in the House of God without over the top antics.

To me, the ministry of the gospel is a serious thing, not something to be treated like a novelty. While Jesus certainly desires the children to go to Him, scripture shows the focus of ministry from the church was to the adults of the house and to have the entire house believe in Jesus from there.

I agree the Power Team would be better suited for a park or some time apart from regular church meetings. (But really they seem to be such a gimmick to me, that I can’t say I’m a big supporter of having the Power Team anywhere at all.)

Really just about all church groups (even the assembly I am a part of) do various events for “evangelistic youth rallies” but I wonder if perhaps the methods used might inadvertently condition them to embrace what is promoted by seeker sensitive groups when they are older?

When I was young, I didn’t need a “Power Team” or so much other FLUFF. We had Sunday school, teachers and Bibles. And it all worked out fine. No fluff required.

Boy, that was unexpected. I can’t imagine synagogues in Jesus’ day having a horse ride through to illustrate some passage from the Torah or Prophets; or to attract Roman soldiers as proselytes.

(Synagogue president) “Today, we are reading from the Song of Moses concerning the horse and rider thrown into the sea. And for the benefit of our Gentile guests. . . Yachov, if you will, please open the side door . . .”

(horse and rider enter. They fall right in front of the crowd.)

(from the crowd) “Oy vey! . . . What is this madness?! . . .On Shabbat, no less!”

    Happened a lot, right? Not.

I noticed something in the first video. Behind the stage, they had all those banners hanging up. They had words on them like “guilt” and “sex-romance” and “depression” and “time” and “lonliness” and so one. Funny thing is, not one of them had the word “sin” emblazoned on it. Go figure.

    Reaping. Sowing. Do the math.
