Barack Hussein Obama, Junior’s Church Pandering

by @ 10:28 am. Filed under Nuts on Parade

Check out the post by La Shawn Barber titled Question for Obama: Who Do You Say Jesus Is?. (It sure would be good if John McCain were willing to accept an interview where he was asked detailed questions about what he believes.) La Shawn is starting to see there are some serious issues with Obama’s claim of being a Christian. I think he’s already made it clear he’s not really a Christian, but just another publican trying to use the church for political gain. See some prior posts with details:

In La Shawn’s post, she cites this 2004 interview transcript. And she quotes how Obama said:

Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he?s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher. And he?s also a wonderful teacher. I think it?s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.

Notice Obama says “a bridge” rather than saying Jesus is the ONE mediator between God and man, 1 Timothy 2:5-6. To say “a bridge” is a play on words, which leaves the door open to their being other paths, other “bridges” to God. Which is not the truth.

1 John 2:23 (New American Standard Bible)

23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.

And La Shawn’s post points out well, how Obama never really speaks to the deity of Jesus, Colossians 2:9.

It’s also interesting how Obama speaks of what he feels is “important for all of us, of whatever faith”. Again, this leaves the door open that other faiths are suitable for salvation and if you see the other posts linked above, you can see Obama really does believe there are other means via which someone can get to Heaven. Which shows Obama really never felt conviction in his heart that all other “bridges” are FALSE. So he has no understanding of the basic truth of Christ.

John 14:6 (New American Standard Bible)

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

There is one thing that really stands out in the cited interview transcript. And honestly, it stands out, because the person who posted the transcript placed it in BOLD PRINT.

GG:Do you still attend Trinity?

OBAMA:Yep. Every week. 11 oclock service.

And it was emphasized for good reason. It was a 2004 interview. Way before the media was daily hounding Obama about his ties to Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. and the insane statements that flow from Wright’s mouth. Back then, Obama was speaking as if his ears heard every word spoken on a Sunday morning by Mr. Wright Wrong. But once J. Wrong was exposed, Obama acted as if he never ever heard vile hatred from the mouth of J. Wrong.

Barack Obama: On My Faith and My Church March 14, 2008

The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation.

So long as everybody thought J. Wrong was “cool”, Obama was the man who heard every word, but the moment J. Wrong became political Kryptonite, Super Man Obama caught a case of amnesia! (And remember what he did with a certain rapper.) That’s Barack Hussein Obama, Junior - “committed Christian “ .

Oh, but here’s my favorite line, the one where he says he’s God:

    GG:Do you pray often?

    OBAMA:Uh, yeah, I guess I do.
Its’ not formal, me getting on my knees. I think I have an ongoing conversation with God. I think throughout the day, I’m constantly asking myself questions about what I’m doing, why am I doing it.

Yea I didn’t see that one ElCee. Further in that answer, it’s interesting how he who does not dump bad people till the media tells him to, is speaking about a “moral compass” .
