I had not made it around to making a post about Victoria Osteen’s legal case, because to me it was nothing more than 2 gold diggers in a cat fight. Gold digger #1 being Victoria Osteen, who I call a gold digger based on her doctrinal views, not who her husband is. Gold digger #2 being the airline attendant, who is trying to get money over a matter she already reported to legal authorities. (Victoria Osteen was fined $3,000, for interfering with a crew member during a flight.) I feel the attendants are probably telling the truth about Victoria Osteen acting catty and the FAA has already fully investigated and addressed that. But I feel the airline attendant’s claims of needing money because of anxiety, hemorrhoids, affected faith and counseling costs is straight bogus! (She wants 10% of Victoria Osteen’s net worth.) Two gold diggers going at it. Not something I was rushing to post about, although I was considering a short post that said nothing more than what I just said. (It’s all so lame I just never made it a priority.)

But now it appears a new twist has entered the case, Joel Osteen’s court testimony. It’s not easy to get to the report I saw, but click here and flip through the pictures till you see the one that says “Pastor takes stand” (4 of 6) (*Update, or see the video below*) and watch the video provided there. Basically Joel is saying it was he, not his wife, who was upset about the stain on a chair. And it was he, not his wife who refused to take a seat. His wife was acting on his behalf I guess. Joel claims there was no fight at all. So now on a court stand, a man who claims church leadership is speaking against the word of airline officials and an FAA determination. We have no video, but I’ve got a feeling Osteen is lying to front for his wife. I don’t believe the airline attendants are all conspiring in a lie to sue Victoria Osteen. Certainly if it was all a setup, they would have went after Joel Osteen directly.

So Joel is claiming he was the prissy Prima donna, who would not dare sit in a first class seat without a stain being cleaned to his personal level of satisfaction. That shows something way less than humility on the part of the Osteen’s. And now I believe the Osteen’s are lying in court. It appears to me the Osteen’s are acting to defend reputation and money, rather than conceding the truth, that Victoria Osteen lost her cool.

This is quickly becoming a case of it?s not the crime, it?s the cover-up! The Osteen’s could have conceded that Victoria Osteen lost her cool and accept the response that would come from that. But now it’s dragging out in efforts to cover what likely really happened. Given the official FAA determination, I’m saying Victoria Osteen was wrong and this cover-up by the Osteen’s is straight sinful. This has gone from them acting prissy about a stain, to a woman being assaulted, to what I strongly feel are lies to try and cover up the fight.

Well I told you to stay away from the Osteen’s!

And Joel already sounds a bit too soft in the voice, now he’s claiming he was acting like a Prima donna over an airline seat! It’s best I stop here.

update 8/14/2008 5:05PM: Jury says Osteen did not assault flight attendant. And that’s the end of it. None of this would have occurred if the Osteen’s were more humble about a stain on a chair. On one hand, the Osteen’s could have taken the humble route and asked for something to wipe the stuff up, or simply calmly waited instead of trying to rush the crew to clean up the spill immediately. On the other hand, we know the flight attendant should never have carried this so far and her claim was bogus. My view of the Osteen’s lying was based on the FAA determination, now the jury has spoken. Even still, the Osteen’s were not at all humble in their dealings, or this never would have been known of. The main reason this post was made was to show how the Osteen’s act as if they are “special”. And that continues to be proven, beyond all reasonable doubt.
