Todd Bentley, Baptising in the Name of the Father, Son and Bam.

And the man hosting Todd Bentley lied, to cover it all up.

PASTOR LIES FOR TODD- LAKELAND

And those media reports are still rolling in.

Faith healer Todd Bentley called a fraud, false teacherBaptist Press

A new faith healer is making headlines for his claims of supernatural powers, but conservative evangelical leaders warn that Todd Bentley is a fraud and a false teacher.

Bentley, leader of a revival that began in Lakeland, Fla., this spring, is known for his multiple body piercings and tattoos, his violent healing techniques, his claims of angelic visions and “holy” laughter and “holy” vibrating shakes. He even claims to have raised dozens of people from the dead.

In one YouTube video, Bentley, who is Canadian, can be seen kneeing in the stomach a man with stage 4 colon cancer. When the man bent over in obvious pain from the blow, Bentley said, “I had to be obedient to the Lord, sir, but I believe that colon cancer is coming right out of your body now.” In other videos, Bentley explains how he kicked an elderly lady in the face, banged a crippled woman’s legs on a platform “like a baseball bat,” choked a man, “leg-dropped” a pastor, and hit a man so hard it dislodged a tooth — all because God supposedly told him to do so.

The Associated Press said it could not confirm any of a dozen cases in which Bentley’s ministry claimed medical verification for his miracles.

Bentley claims to be visited regularly by angels, including a 20-foot-tall angel in his apartment on one occasion and on another occasion an angel that knocked him out of his body. One angel’s name supposedly is Emma. Bentley also says that Jesus Himself appears to him.

Bentley claimed on another occasion to have been transported four to five hours into the future to see what would occur at a revival meeting he was scheduled to lead.

Sometimes, portions of his service are spent with him lying on the stage laughing, with the audience — all supposedly caught up in the Spirit — laughing, too. Other times, people lay on the stage jerking violently and appearing as if they’re experiencing a seizure; supposedly they are simply full of the Spirit.

Bentley recently announced that he will be leaving the Lakeland meetings in order to conduct meetings overseas. His last day at Lakeland is scheduled for Aug. 23.

Bentley claims he has the anointing of the mid-20th-century preacher William Branham, a faith healer who denied the Trinity and “prophesied that by 1977 all denominations would be consumed by the World Council of Churches under the control of the Roman Catholics, the rapture would take place, and the world would be destroyed,” Hanegraaff’s website states.

At a recent Bentley healing service in Louisville, Ky., attended by Baptist Press, claims of the blind being healed, the dead being raised and visitations from Jesus were all on display.

In an evening service July 17 at Evangel World Prayer Center, Bentley claimed that several dramatic healings had taken place earlier that day.

Baptist Press noted at least five people in wheelchairs in the meeting who appeared to remain uncured throughout the service.

“I want to hear you contend for your miracle because the power of God, that healing anointing is here right now, and God is beginning to move and we’re releasing that river of healing right now,” he said.

At the time of the offering, Bentley suggested attendees would not receive a blessing unless they gave generously.

“People get stingy when they give, but they want a generous blessing,” he said. “I’m telling you, there’s something about you reap what you sow. So you think about that as I sow. You think about what God wants you to plant as a revival seed.”

But while giving his testimony later in the evening, Bentley said he heard the Gospel from the Bible many times as a teenager but could not believe without a supernatural experience. He was saved only when God spoke audibly to him in his drug dealer’s trailer and told him that was his last chance to make a decision for Christ, Bentley said.

Bentley was called to ministry, he said, in 1998 when a “glory liquid honey cloud” came through the kitchen of his apartment and into the living room. It rested over his head, and the “manifest tangible presence of God” did not leave his life for three months. During that time Bentley was “slain in the Spirit” from four to 12 hours per day and saw many visions, he said.

After the three months were complete, Bentley said Jesus appeared to him on Mother’s Day and told him he would never return to secular work again.

“[Jesus] said, ‘I have a ministry for you, and it begins today, Mothers Day 1998.’ He said, ‘You will go all over the world, and you’re going to bring a healing revival,'” Bentley said.

He added that Benny Hinn and other faith healers influenced him in ministry.

Todd Bentley is a liquid honey FRAUD. Just say no to drugs!

Todd Bentley is a Heretic plain and simple. He makes the current cast on TBN look orthodox. In all honesty IC did you ever think it could have got worse than the current line up?

    Kyle

  2. IndependentConservative Says:

Personally, I think Paul and Jan Crouch are kicking themselves, that so-called “God TV” beat them to airing his mess. I’m sure TBN would love to have broadcast this new-age-trinity baptism, that Bentley is doing. (I mean it’s not like they ever defended the real doctrine of the Trinity, given they broadcast Oneness heretics already.) They don’t care about doctrine, just money!

  3. latisha1903 Says:

Wow. This man is a disgrace. God is not pleased. I cannot believe this Todd Bentley “character” nor this so called preacher who came up with this disgusting lie. I’ve watched most of the videos, never in full length because I cannot stomach the lies that are being taught.

And I feel people with very sincere hearts are being misled, and it’s hard not to get angry while watching those “revivals”. They are just making stuff up and marketing it as Salvation.

  4. SteelGator Says:

Sick…..Just sick. Equating the sacrament of Holy Baptism with cartoons and Disney World. This guy is a total Heretic.

  5. JesusIsGod Says:

colosians 2:18-23 is a perfect description of todd bentley. he is so deceived and the sad part is that he doesnt even know it. all he does is chase after the supernatural and by that ran straight into satan’s trap. christians should chase after holiness and righteousness.

  6. peacedaily Says:

I posted at another writing in here on todd bentley, I would like to copy and post what I wrote,,,,
I have been researching this bentley thing for several weeks, and I am in agreement that it is a false revival and the motive is money.
There is a Utube video that shows bentley baptising a oriental woman in the name of Father Son and Holy Bam. This is total irreverant, and the leaders in that area should have shut the services down. The deception lies in the fact that he appears to be different because of the tatoos and casual t shirts, doesn’t prove that he is called or that he is of God. As a matter of fact if you look on the utube of bentleys bam baptisms you will see a shirt with 2 rattlesnakes intwined, you can only get this tshirt in a voodoo store online according to the person who researched it on utube. This is a dangerous deception. And bentley needs to be called in to accountability and this meeting shut down. And just came to my mind is also a utube of a little girl begging her mother not to let todd bentley touch her. This was so hard even to watch, I was grieved for days and I prayed for that precious little girl. May God help us, perhaps we need to start emailing the governer down there or someone who will listen. This is very dangerous, This guy needs to be shut down permenantly. He should never been allowed to be around children as he is an ex child molester. The church has been reduced as to who ever brings in the money is accepted. We visited a storefront church in Branson Mo, several years ago, and during the praise and worship, the leader would not let the Lord move, and I heard these words in my spirit,(selfish ambition) and I found it in the bible, warning after warning. Right now the prayer closet in our homes seems the safest place to be, till this evil is revealed for what it really is, at least I pray for the Lord to have mercy, when evil was revealed in the book of acts, the bible says fear and wonder came upon the people, oh how we need this to happen. Stand together in prayer till something happens. Help us dear Jesus to stay faithful to your truths and not waver. In Jesus name

  7. IndependentConservative Says:

    Hi peacedaily,

Good you see Todd Bentley is false.

    I have a question though.

…perhaps we need to start emailing the governer down there or someone who will listen.

Why would we call the government of man for a church matter? Everybody knows about Bentley’s past as a child molester, so he’s obviously not breaking any (child welfare) laws in what he’s doing.

This is not really an issue of the laws of man, unless he’s found mishandling money that is supposed to be used under certain government charity guidelines. (And he’s keeping pretty tight about what’s going on with the money. Has not given a detailed accounting yet. So who knows what he’s doing with it.) It is totally a matter of the church and saints needing to avoid a false teacher. See 2 Thessalonians 2, this was supposed to happen as messed up as it is and worse will come. We just hope for the day when the Lord returns and warn accordingly till then. But these kinds of things won’t end, but increase as the Word of God says they will increase.

I am not familiar with the laws in Canada where he is from. I do know that anyone in the US on the sexual preditor list is not allowed around children, so he would be violating the law. How about assault on an elderly woman by kicking her in the face? Isn’t that assault and battery? and physically kicking others? Are they too afraid to call the police and turn Him in? Yes I think the ones in authority should be notified, because what the church does affects the people and the community. Untill the church starts dealing with sin, and bring prayer and genuine repentance, the law is going to be for the lawless even in the church.

Keep in mind that such “lists” are not very old. So if he had committed his crimes in America, it would depend on where and when, if he were to ever have been placed on a “list”. Today it’s standard in I believe all states, so if he did it today in America he would certainly be on someone’s list.

But for example, here in my state of Tennessee, the sex offender registry did not start until 1995, nobody who was convicted and served their sentence before 1995 has ever had to register at all. They don’t ever have to report to anyone, ever.

How about assault on an elderly woman by kicking her in the face? Isn’t that assault and battery? and physically kicking others? Are they too afraid to call the police and turn Him in? I can totally agree with you, that the Lakeland, FL DA should have pursued charges against Todd Bentley for assault. Whether or not those he assaulted were desiring to turn him in, we have video evidence of him committing and admitting to such criminal acts. So the DA in the area(s) he committed such crimes could press charges.

That’s about as far as we agree on the matter of a government body locking up Todd Bentley. (I think) Because he violated a criminal law in those cases. Beyond that, no I don’t feel government should be involved, unless there is discovery or inquiry into management of the finances violating IRS rules. An inquiry into violation of a law.

Yes I think the ones in authority should be notified, because what the church does affects the people and the community. Untill the church starts dealing with sin, and bring prayer and genuine repentance, the law is going to be for the lawless even in the church.

The laws of man can’t be used to lock up a man who baptized in the name of “Bam”. Do you feel government should lock him up for that? Should the government lock up all leaders of all cults because they also teach false doctrines?

  10. peacedaily Says:

Thank you independant conservative for your response, boy that is a good question? If they government starts locking up leaders of all cults, then they would start dictating what a cult is and it could lead to all kinds of problems, then the government would be in control. I sure don’t agree with that. This is one area it seems that can’t be legislated and the greedy filthy whoremongers take advantage of. Educating the peoples in churches perhaps should be done. Every church should teach what a cult is, the signs of a person like bentley and then when no one shows up for these false meetings they will leave. There are many whistle blowers now on the internet and I thank God for every one of them. The message must get out to the peoples. Also if the likes of kenneth copeland or creflo dollar or benny hinn gets audited and they are found in error some time in prison would show the people just how seduced and lied to. I have prayed much about this and will continue to do so. Thanks for your input

  11. peacedaily Says:

I do have another question, I haven’t read all the blogs on here, and I don’t want to start anything, i am just a grandma, but our family has been studying for quite sometime about the error of tithe teaching. It was so hard to embrace this as error, because they preached it so much that I was,,, I think almost brainwashed that it was a spiritual truth, after reading some of even Pastors online apologising for teaching tithe, their studies proving that tithe teaching is wrong. I was skeptical at first, but the more we studied the more we were convinced. The bad part is that the whole of christiandom teaches this, and the majority of the peoples are convinced. This has done damage to the body of Christ. We are indeed in need of an awakinging such as when Martin Luther wrote the famous words the “The Just Shall live by faith” how we need true Men of God to stand up and preach the truth. Oh how I hunger for a real move of the Lord, but in my heart I don’t want stadiums, one man shows, but more like people seeking the Lord with their hearts like on the day of pentecost. They were of one mind and one accord. I personally don’t agree with these so called ministers of the gospel having these big crusades, to much temptation for greed, arrogence, pride, selfish ambition to take over. And yes they are all millionaires taken from the backs of harding working people who are blindly trusting because they use God in their messages. Bentley now claims he is a millionaire. I know the Lord is going to move in a real way, because he said “The Gates of Hell won’t prevail against his church” something is coming, I pray to stay faithful and true to my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. from Joyce

  12. IndependentConservative Says:

If he does not repent, Bentley will find himself in a prison he’ll never escape from, hell. With follow up in the lake of fire for eternity. Same with the others.

  13. IndependentConservative Says:

    Hi peacedaily,

    You mentioned:

Oh how I hunger for a real move of the Lord, but in my heart…

Understand, that fact you are coming to know the truth about these scams is a real move of the Lord opening you to the truth about it. The Lord is moving and people are turning to Him in truth.

When the Lord returns, He will set all things straight and subject all under His feet, evil only has a short time left. Once Satan saw Jesus die and rise from the dead, he knew the game was over – finished.

Bentley now claims he is a millionaire.

Do you have any links to any news sources mentioning Todd Bentley is now a millionaire? I’m not surprised, just want to see it.

Regarding tithing, plenty here on that subject, see these posts:

  14. peacedaily Says:

amen Thank you, perhaps I should not have written that about bentley without the web site, seems to me I read where there was a couple of million attached to his ministry. I will be more careful and yes I will try to find that article, if you find some information would you post also?

  15. peacedaily Says:

okay, I tried to find the article about the money todd bentley makes and I could not. I apologise, because I think I quoted an inaccurate statement. I try to be very careful to speak truth and back it up with evidence. I slipped on that one. thank you for the references on tithing. I am reading them now. The tithing teaching is so embedded in the church teaching it has been very difficult to overcome. When you say something to someone about it they treat you like you committed a travesty. They put such heavy guilt on people. Jesus said his yoke is easy and his burden light. Thanks for the helps
