Hypnosis Touted as Healing

by @ 11:53 am. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

Found another good post over at Battle 4 Truth titled An Ex-Faith Healer Explains The Tricks From Lakeland(WOTM Radio). Check out the video below. (Obviously, some TRIAL VERSION of software was used to make the video :D .)

An Ex-Faith Healer Explains The Tricks Used(WOTM Radio)

Now when you consider the material there along with things like the following:

You see people are being put into highly suggestive states of mind and BEING ABUSED.

If you have not already seen it, be sure to check out the documentary Mark Haville narrated: The Signs And Wonders Movement Expo$ed. The Movie That Pulpit Pimps and Word of Faith Types Never Want You to See.

And keep in mind.

Matthew 7:22-23 (New American Standard Bible)

22 “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’

23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

The real “miracle” you needed is to believe on the Lord Jesus, so you will receive forgiveness of your sins and eternal life. Of course God can heal someone’s body, but you have to be very careful that you’re not the equivalent of an ambulance chaser, just running after men who claim they have “healing”. When you should be happy if you believe on Jesus that your sins are forgiven, not chasing after men.

And you’ve heard it said “by His stripes/scourging we are healed”, but have you ever read Isaiah 53 in full? To understand that statement in scripture is talking about Christ’s work for our healing from sin, the gift of eternal life and new bodies to come? Not about you having guaranteed healing of every physical ailment you might experience in this life! You receive as the Lord wills, whether it be physical healing or Him allowing you to experience His grace with you having a physical ailment.

People should realize that when they submit themselves to be hypnotised they give permision for someone other than God and themselves to have authority over their will. God doesn’t put us in a state where we have no control or any memory of what is being said or done.

Yvette - Have you listened to the audio clip provided in full?

  2. truthintheselastdays Says:

I’ve been burning Bro. Haville’s video to DVD like crazy - it doesn’t help that the audio is off-sync though…

  3. rascoe1 Says:

IC, I have been meaning to ask, did you ever did a piece on divine healing?

IndependentConservative reply on July 15th, 2008 at 6:29 pm :

I’ve never made a post specifically about that topic, other than what you see in this post and what I have mentioned in other posts.

I will say though, as I’ve said previously, if we encounter someone who God honestly has granted the “gift of healing”, we’ll see at least the hospital near them cleared out. And if anybody has that particular gift right now, they are off in some remote place we don’t know about, actually helping people.

God grants healing as He wills. Although we can’t claim with confirmation any individual right now has been granted the “gift of healing” by the Holy Spirit.

And IF any confirmed healings had come from Bentley’s meetings, given his apostate doctrine, the source of the healing would have not had a thing to do with Bentley, but rather one of the following:
    1) God seeing somebody who had faith on him, that although they were in big time error seeing Bentley, He granted them healing of their on faith on Him. (Sort of like the widow who gave 2 mites to vultures who were supposed to be actually taking care of her needs, but God recognized her faith.)

    2) Demonic signs and wonders given Todd Bentley is demonic.

Some of us are still waiting for when a guy comes along like Todd Bentley who has doctrine that is way off into the demonic, but he’s clearing out sick beds. Because people will follow those false signs and wonders for sure if that comes, while they will be getting led into apostasy. Despite how much Todd Bentley has been exposed, I wonder how many people are now praying to some supposed angel named “Emma”?

I say if you’ve prayed and the doctors have tried and you need healing, try James 5:14-16. If the Lord wills, the righteous man’s prayer will be answered. I’m a witness it works. But all is as the Lord wills. I don’t find “faith healing” to be a thing to put a large thrust of focus on, given we are to focus on our reward after this life.

Regardless of whether this physical tent receives a fix, we having the gift of eternal life, soon to have new bodies, that don’t get ill and access to the tree of life, Revelation 22, we’ve already been granted way more than we deserve.

  4. rascoe1 Says:

The question has nothing to do with Todd Bentley. A friend has really bad pains in her legs, arms and back for years. The reason being a major car accident, compounded by arthritis. She has a soft spot for the teachings of Kenneth Hagen and his “sons”. She strongly believe that if she had enough faith she would be healed from all this pain. I believe in healing, knowing that there is nothing impossible for God to do, however i also believe in Gods’ perfect will, meaning there are things he choose not to do, inspite of how we feel. You know what Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland and friends teaches, about God wanting everyone to be healed and be rich in this world.

IndependentConservative reply on July 15th, 2008 at 9:41 pm :

Oh yea, than your friend is probably sitting around in guilt at times, feeling she lacks faith. Such delusion!

Well she needs to accept God does not owe her a healing and she has no reason to feel guilty that the Lord willed she be living a life people in 3rd world countries would literally kill for.

Has your friend tried a chiropractor? If not, tell her scope out a good one, call them tomorrow and make an appointment.

  5. godlysoldier Says:

As a witness coming out of WOF, guaranteed healing IF you have the “God kind of faith”, I now know that God heals as he wills. I just lost my 44 yr old sister in law to breast cancer last month. She had the faith the size of Goliath, but also from the bad WOF teaching, she just trusted that God would heal her. She believed until the end, but she still passed away. I know that she is in heaven, but for whatever reason, (that God is NOT obligated to share with us), she was not “divinly healed.” She went to a Benny Hinn “event” and couldn’t even get on stage. My eyes are now wide open to this delusion of these fake healers! I pray that more Christians eyes are opened and they begin to see what the bible is speaking of concerning these apostate times we are living in and the hirelings that are now in the pulpits!

IndependentConservative reply on July 15th, 2008 at 11:23 pm :

Godlysoldier - I’m sorry to hear your sister is no longer with us, but I’m sure she’s doing much better with the Lord.

Me and my family saw a dear friend of ours who needed surgery refuse till death like your sister. I don’t want to stir up any emotions, but seeing someone holding out like that is hard.

Actually thinking about it and a prior post I mentioned it in, I recall a post that is EXACTLY what rascoe1 was asking about: The Great “You Don’t Have Enough Faith” Lie. And the Great “Don’t Take Medicine or See Doctors” Lie.

godlysoldier reply on July 16th, 2008 at 12:22 am :

Thank you IC for your condolences. Yes it was hard to see her going through.

I do remember that post, it hit the nail right on the head. I coudn’t even comment on that post because of what I was going through at the time, it was just too hard! Again, our comfort is knowing that she is no longer suffering.

    rascoe1 reply on July 16th, 2008 at 10:56 am :

I also extend condolences to you and your family on your sister-in-laws, passing. I know it must bea very trying time for you, but I am so happy she had a relationship with the Lord and we all know that she is in a better place.

IC, I remember that post. The thing is, all the scriptures I have, are used by the to endorse her beliefs. She believe and they teach, that a strong enough faith (I believe it is will) can make God do anything.

IndependentConservative reply on July 16th, 2008 at 11:11 am :

    …can make God do anything.

Well you know their claims to have command over God’s hand is the error. They call themselves “little gods” and feel they can make God do what THEY want. Is God really God if THEY call the shots?

    rascoe1 reply on July 16th, 2008 at 11:26 am :

You know my brother, I was thinking the same thing. God forbid, not the God I serve, not the One who created every thing from nothing, with His Word.

IC, they say He cannot do anything on earth without man giving him permission, because he gave over authorithy ,on earth to man. (Can I say, “thats a bunch a bull”, on this blog, if not, I apologise). If what they say is true then God would not be God.

IndependentConservative reply on July 16th, 2008 at 1:36 pm :

    Rascoe1,

IC, they say He cannot do anything on earth without man giving him permission, because he gave over authorithy ,on earth to man.

Well here is what God really gave to man.

Genesis 1:28 (New American Standard Bible)

28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Rule over fish, birds and creatures. And this is what they claim gives them authority to dictate how God will move? That is like me claiming since I as husband am head of my wife, God needs my “permission” to do anything with her. It would literally mean that God would have needed to ask Joseph for permission to impregnate Mary. But we know God did not ask either Mary or Joseph for “permission”, He simply had an angel TELL THEM what HE WAS DOING. GOD TOLD THEM HOW THEY WOULD BE USED, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!

And given man’s fall, God separated Himself from man and denied man access to the tree of life.

Genesis 3:24 (New American Standard Bible)

24 So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.

And while man tinkers with birds and creatures, look who now has what was handed to him.

Luke 4:6 (New American Standard Bible)

6 And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

Given man’s fall and man listening to Satan, God separated from us, with Jesus being our only means to Him and the tree of life. God’s kingdom is not of this world. This world is of the devil.

John 18:36 (New American Standard Bible)

36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”

Although it is God through Jesus Christ who has supreme authority over all, including superseding any authority man or Satan may have. Read Colossians 1:13-23.

Now how they wish to claim they command God’s hand is yes very much a lie, very much heresy, very much apostasy, very much blasphemy, to claim they hold power over the hand of God.

    rascoe1 reply on July 16th, 2008 at 1:54 pm :

My brother thank you for the way you said that, with scriptures. I want to be just like you when I grow up (smile). May God continue to bless you and continue to give you such eloquence, it is a gift. (This is not a suck up nor am I trying to stroke your ego, it is the truth, and I do appreciate you). Thanks Brother IC

IndependentConservative reply on July 16th, 2008 at 2:13 pm :

I understand your intent, but you don’t want to be like me. We want to strive to be like Christ. Because I can’t get anything right but by God’s grace.

    rascoe1 reply on July 16th, 2008 at 2:52 pm :

I know my brother. I am just striving for the ability to put my thoughts, belifes and the accompaning scriptures together (flowing smoothly and correctly). I have not been able yet (not remembering where to find what when easily), but still trying. As a result I do recognise those of my fellow brothers and sisters who can, I do know it is Gods’ equipment to you, to do the job that you are called to do. That’s what I mean my brother, nothing else, just flowing in the Word.

  6. rascoe1 Says:

Can you hear the anger in my tone IC. I woke up this morning being extremely angry at Satan.

godlysoldier reply on July 16th, 2008 at 5:06 pm :

Thank you rascoe1 for your condolences as well.
Oh, it’s ok to be angry, just do not sin nor let it have dominion over you. Just turnover some tables and throw out some moneychangers and be done with it.
    ;)~

    rascoe1 reply on July 17th, 2008 at 8:38 pm :

You are welcome godlysoldier. Oh gosh no, not the table, I can break some cds though (smile).
