In this case, “those who help me,” are the medical staff that treats us when we are sick.

We should always pray that the Lord is among our helpers in life; whether doctors, governmental ministers, employees, servants in the Body of Christ, or anywhere or anytime you are being served in some capacity in life.

We believers must always find occasion to render thanksgiving to God in life. It is one of our spiritual, priestly duties as His people. Seeing Him among those who help us every day is an excellent way to render such praise.

Quick update: released out of the hospital last Friday. They took out my appendix (tumorous and malignant) and 10-12 inches of my ascending colong (aka, large intestine).

That’s the good news.

The bad news is I *may* have to undergo MONTHS of chemo and then radiation, which I DONT’ want to do. So, please pray that my follow up visits come up negative for any spread of the cancer (the appendix was perforated and spewing toxins like a coal plant burning whale blubber and baby seals. There! That should set the left off!!!)

Seriously, please keep me in prayer because as stressful as this situation is (oh, my wife lost her job last month), the magnificent peace of Christ has filled my life.

Please, please, please read the following:

I shall not die, but I shall live,
and recount the deeds of the Lord.

The Lord has disciplined me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.

Open to me the gates of righteousness,
that I may enter through them
and give thanks to the Lord.

This is the gate of the Lord;
the righteous shall enter through it.

and have become my salvation.

The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
