The Dark Alliance. Todd Bentley “Commissioned” by the False Teaching Revival Alliance Network.

by @ 2:31 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

The more popular the false teacher named Todd Bentley gets, the more other false teachers desire to lay their hands on him. And they will share in Bentley’s sins for doing so.

1 Timothy 5:22 (New American Standard Bible)

22 Do not lay hands upon anyone too hastily and thereby share responsibility for the sins of others; keep yourself free from sin.

Our brother Walter Kambulow (Wally) tipped me to the following.

A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM TODD BENTLEY – Jun 20 2008 07:14PM

Many of you know that an extraordinary healing revival has broken out in Lakeland, Fla., led by Todd Bentley. Unfortunately, there are some who have criticized or opposed this revival. History seems to be repeating itself. In order to stand with Todd and support Todd and this mighty work of God, Dr. Peter Wagner made the suggestion that some of the leaders of the Revival Alliance network, commission Todd as an evangelist and as a revivalist. Bill Johnson, John Arnott, and Che Ahn (three of the leaders of the Revival Alliance) have agreed to come for this special commissioning service. This is not an ordination service, since Todd is already an ordained minister, but this is to show apostolic support for Todd and to state that this revival is from God. Therefore, Todd would like to invite as many friends and partners to come and celebrate with Todd as he is commissioned by these apostolic leaders.

Join us in Lakeland Florida for this special service or join us on God TV or www.freshfire.ca

Basically, as Todd is exposed as a false teacher, other false teachers are circling their wagons around him. To defend their craft of heresy. Claiming “apostolic” authority. Folks, this is on par with the Roman Catholic garbage that comes from their “popes” who claim to have apostolic authority. They are all false teachers. Want to read words written by real apostles, go read your Bible.

C. Peter Wagner and much of what this bunch promotes was well exposed as false in the post Stan wrote titled: The New Apostolic Reformation: some of its shapers and methods. They?re also targeting our youth.

John Arnott was well exposed as false in this post.

PJMiller has a full slate of who these pimps are. In a post he has up about this on his blog titled: Todd Bentley to be ?commissioned??but by whom? Further showing how it’s a pack of heretics affirming a fellow heretic. A dark alliance!

Guess who else is giving a stamp of approval to Todd Bentley’s mess? False teaching false prophet Pat Robertson and the 700 Club, via his “Christian World News” broadcasts!

YouTubber FMPastorTodd forwarded me the following video, that exposes even more of Todd Bentley’s false teachings.

Todd Bentley’s strange doctrines and encounters EXPOSED

And here’s something more to consider. (Hat tip to Walter Kambulow again.)

Same old scam?

Even some Pentecostals are skeptical of Todd Bentley?s tent revival

The services were different in another way, Bentley claims: God showed up in a powerful way. A New York public relations firm was quickly hired to send out press releases claiming “documented healings,” and God TV relentlessly plugged its broadcasts of the services.

The services, now held in a huge air-conditioned tent, have gone on for months now, and as many as 10,000 people a night are coming. Bentley claims hundreds of people have been healed of everything from deafness to infertility?though he did admit that in the latter case we wouldn’t know for sure until the women actually got pregnant. As for the other cases, WORLD made repeated requests for documentation of healings, but claims of “privacy issues” were the only response.

A visit to one of Bentley’s services suggests that he is learning how to turn the big crowds into big money. ATM machines have been set up, providing attendees with ready cash for the offering plate and book purchases. The offering is now a significant part of the service, taking as long as 30 minutes. Bentley has not released financial information, saying he is “too busy keeping up with what God is doing” to pull the information together.

More than 150,000 people have attended the meetings, and at least 1.2 million more (according to God TV estimates) have watched on television. Even accepting Fresh Fire’s estimate of an average donation of $3 to $5 per person, it’s easy to see how donations could end up in the millions.

He’s got time to take the money, but no time to show where its going.

You’ve got to understand, even if he gave every dime to homeless shelters and even if every supposed “healing” was verified by reputable medical doctors, this man’s doctrine is FALSE. And we are warned that false prophets would come with their own signs and wonders.

Matthew 24:24 (New American Standard Bible)

24 “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

And the hospital in Lakeland, Florida, Lakeland Regional Medical Center is still open and has been open for business. With no reports of considering closing due to massive “healings”.

Stay away from Todd Bentley and all of his associates.

  1. SteelGator Says:

Wow…I knew Todd was evil but did not know to what extent.

I have heard of people driving from here in Jacksonville to Lakeland every night for months on end. Sad. They are deceived and I pray the True Lord God of Israel will open their eyes and mind.

Good video for those who wish to hear it.

    From the CBN Webpage:

“We’re in 214 nations a night. Potential audience of 400 million. And 10 hours a day we’re literally around the world, people are seeing what’s happening here in Florida,” Bentley said.

That’s because God TV made the unprecedented — and extremely expensive — decision to pre-empt all their primetime programming and broadcast the Lakeland meetings every night. Thousands more are watching on the website for the church where the revival ignited. It’s called, appropriately enough, Ignited Church.

“550,000 different computers have logged into the webcast. That’s incredible,” said Ignited’s senior pastor Stephen Strader.

That is a good place to apply the verse, Matthew 7:13-14 which are the introductory sentences to the warnings about false prophets:

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

  3. IndependentConservative Says:

Stan, it also makes me think of the following:

Matthew 23:15 (New American Standard Bible)

15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

God TV, TBN and those types are really spreading their “message” all around, but the fruit is all rotten.

  4. truthintheselastdays Says:

By any chance, have you read that 55-page excuse for a theological paper they’ve put out in defence of their garbage? It is really sloppy at best, and downright useless at its worst…which is like all the time.

I’m writing a paper of my own in response to this, because quite frankly this 17-year-old is sick of hearing about that doctrinal waste of space called Bentley. He’d repent quickly, if he knew what was good for him. It’s disgusting how other men are lusting after another man in the way these men are lusting after Bentley. One word for ’em: GLORY HUNTERS!!! [I think that’s two LOL]

  5. stan Says:

    Potential audience of 400 million. . .

That’s because God TV made the unprecedented — and extremely expensive — decision to pre-empt all their primetime programming and broadcast the Lakeland meetings every night.

Every one who gives to God TV (already a bad idea) become partakers of these evil deeds to potentially so many.

It’s very important that believers who once supported any false teacher never to do so again! Watch where your money goes. Let it go to deserving ministers and as alms to the poor and needy, especially those of the Household of Faith – the “Brother or Sister” in need that you know of.

  6. stan Says:

    where can it be found?

  7. rascoe1 Says:

They are deceived, blinded by their lust for GLORY.

  8. IndependentConservative Says:

truthintheselastdays – Please let me know when you have posted your response.

  9. truthintheselastdays Says:

Stan, you can get it at http://www.freshfire.ca/UserFiles/File/drGreg_biblicalperspective2008.pdf.

IC, I will be sure to let you know once it is done. Should be ready for next week.

  10. speakingtruth Says:

    Let’s see…

    (1) Pat Robertson is lining up behind the demon Bentley, (2) Bentley is getting “apostolic covering” from a bunch of hucksters to legitimize his demonic hustle, and (3) there is no DOCUMENTED PROOF of the alleged healings taking place in Lakeland.

Yup – we’re in the last days, and this wolf is helping to further distinguish the goats from the sheep.

Let’s continue to pray that the elect would not be deceived by this blatant display of antichrist revivalism, but that the Lord’s will be done.

  11. IndependentConservative Says:

You didn’t find the fact they put ATMs in the tent to be shady? And that nobody is providing fully verifiable proof of where the cash went? 😀 😆

  12. speakingtruth Says:

    Ha!

I guess I overlooked all of that. I’m so used to the pimp hustle, I just assumed it was a classic “pimp” decision…

BTW – is there any pimp stalking the circuit today that is able/willing to show proof of where the dough goes?

Come to think of it…once the pimps get wind of Bentley’s hustle (because most of them are too busy fleecing their own sheep to notice the apostasy that is happening outside of their clubs), they’ll invite him into their arena’s for “revivals” as well. 🙄

  13. stan Says:

Thanks for the link, truthintheselastdays. I will do my own critique of the paper too. Not elaborate, just comments inserted into the text of the paper.

  14. SteelGator Says:

Yesterday, I sent the link to this site and video to warn my brothers and sisters in Christ to stay away from Bentley. Needless to say, I had one sister rebuke me via email and to tell me not to call Bentley a false prophet. She read your threads and watched the videos and still does not want to let her eyes be opened. Sad….very sad.

  15. SteelGator Says:

Pat Roberson is a clown. I need to repent for giving him money in the past.

  16. stan Says:

Check out this page. (hope this works.) It shows various tattoos that Bentley has. (Have air sickness bag ready.)

Remember, he got these after he supposedly got saved.

  17. stan Says:

There is a useful feature on the upper border of the tattoo document, in the above link. You can zoom in on a pic with the tools that look like – and +

  18. SteelGator Says:

IC: Here is another video comparing what Bentley is doing to the evil practice of Kundalini.

  19. caroltash Says:

Stan, Please can you post a different link for Todd Bentley tattoos origins. Post dated 25th June at 12:39pm. Every time I try and click on the link it asks me for a USER ID & PASSWORD.

    Thanks a lot.

    God bless

  20. IndependentConservative Says:

The link works fine for me when I try it:

  21. truthintheselastdays Says:

Looking forward to yours, stan. My one is similar to your idea, except I also present theological concepts from both cessationist and continuatist scholars, which Greig has either flat-out ignored or come out against. As an aside: I hate the way he mis-used Calvin…

  22. stan Says:

Carol, are you able to get in from either my or IC’s link?

    Stan

  23. SteelGator Says:

Thanks Stan…that was a real eye opener.

  24. rascoe1 Says:

SteelGator, I tried watching but quit in the middle of the second. How can anyone in their right mind believe this guy? What are they thinking. That is right out of a science fiction movie.

  25. caroltash Says:

    Stan,

Thank you. I have managed to access it. Please continue to pray that the scales fall from peoples eyes and the stronghold of demonic oppression is lifted. Thank you for this – we will continue to warn as many people as we can. In His Service.

  26. IndependentConservative Says:

That certainly is an interesting video SG.

rascoe1, I think where you asked “How can anyone in their right mind is the operative statement. When we do things like chase after a false teacher, we are NOT acting in our right mind, not thinking as the Lord told us to, not being led by the Spirit, but in the wrong mind of the flesh. It’s best described in Galatians 5 to me, including the SELF CONTROL issue we see with much of this error.

  27. anointedvesselAKAKenya Says:

Uhm not really sure if this scripture goes….Luk 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. Todd Bentley is doing something those of us in EMS like to call CTD(circling the drain). That’s code for dying and quick…he know his time is about up and folks are getting tired of his nonsensical approach so he looks for other self anointed Profit$ to help him out of a jam. You ask me, it comes down to two things pride and money! “Tts 1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers….Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.”

  28. IndependentConservative Says:

It (the scripture) goes well with this topic.
