He has not only gone against scripture in meeting with promoters of abomination, who teach of a false jesus that endorses sin. He’s even made them feel he was “misunderstood” when it was reported he stood against all homosexual behavior. He’s led teachers of homosexual doctrines to feel they have something valuable to help him with and his people are considering allowing homosexuals to teach classes in their doctrine of abomination to his assembly members.
You won’t find anywhere in the Bible any statement about staying with someone who is teaching falsely so you can “eat the meat and throw the bone way”. No, scripture says:

God does not desire anyone to remain under false teaching trying to seek a piece of meat. God says via His Word, that staying around leaven is deadly to the entire mass the leaven is allowed to sit in. Think of it like cancer that is left untreated, but with stakes that are beyond this physical life.
You have to fully understand, that God desires we not associate AT ALL with any that promote things that are sexually immoral and call themselves Christian.

Notice that God, through Christ by way of the Holy Spirit has the apostle Paul mention how he wants saints to stay away from immoral people. Verse 9 above speaks of not associating or keeping company with people of immorality. It was not an admonishment against immoral people who are sinners and never claimed to know Christ. Because then Christians would have to totally disassociate from the world, as cults such as FLDS do in their branch of the cult of Joseph Smith, Junior. The scripture is talking about full disassociation, but not from those who don’t claim to know Christ, rather from those who do claim to know Christ and engage in immorality and boast as if immorality is OK. Then after 1 Corinthians 5, in 1 Corinthians 6 God in His Word lets us know that effeminate and homosexuals are damned. Salvation in calling on the Lord Jesus Christ is the only hope for anyone to be washed of sins such as sexual immorality and strive to live righteous.
Eddie Long has defiled the gospel of the Lord Jesus in many ways. Some that people who stuck with him continued to put up with. But now anyone who actually does put God before a man, must heed the admonishment of scripture. (An admonishment that was also there regarding things like covetousness and swindling regarding his false prosperity doctrine, but now Long fits another on the list.) They must fully disassociate themselves from one who allows additional leaven to take root. It does not matter at all what Eddie Long did in the past. I does not matter at all that he marched against homosexual behavior, and if you read 1 Corinthians 5 you see he should have been marching in his own assembly and casting out people who were embracing homosexuality as if it is OK, rather than marching to speak about affairs outside the church. But Eddie Long does not pastor a church, he cheer leads a club, that does whatever is fashionable for the moment. I should know, I was a member there myself for over 7 years. I had to leave because 1 Timothy 6 says FLEE and as I’ve explained in another post, being a father it would have been irresponsible to my family to remain.
I might sound an alarm here about many pimps, but Eddie Lee Long is the teacher of evil doctrines that I know most of all. Because he’s the false teacher I spent an extended amount of time listening to and being near most recently. And I’ve seen him slide away from things he once stood for over the years.
He once stood against Farra-the-Con and then later embraced him. He once stood against Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and later he while not making a formal endorsement spoke favorable of her and dis-favorable of her opponent Denise Majette. (Saying (paraphrasing) “we don’t need someone who has to ask for directions to the rest room”. When before he had supported pro-life Republican candidates who would have been new to Congress like Majette. Not that he should have been telling people who to vote for in the first place, but still it was another example of how he shifted his position on things.) When most of that district was ready for McKinney to go and voted her out of office a short time later. Include with that how Eddie Long was once very vocal against abortion and later started being very cozy with many pro-abortion Liberal political figures. And his voice against abortion became less vocal. Few ever talk about how he milked his own charity for millions. And so now we see Eddie Lee Long, who used to never approve of homosexual behavior, taking in a homosexual group that claims to be “Christian” and pondering allowing them more access to his assembly. No good church leader would even have to ponder such a thing. Eddie Long continues his trend the wrong way and it’s about time those who really stand for Jesus Christ say they’ve had enough.

Pro-homosexual media has been fully covering this change by Eddie Long. The homosexual news outlet the Southern Voice has published 2 articles since the homosexual group Soulforce met with Eddie Long and came away feeling so good about their meeting. In the 2nd article they mention.

Soulforce members said Long told them that much of what he has said and done regarding the gay issues has been misconstrued.?He talked a lot about being bashed [in the media], and admitted that some hurtful things have been said, but one thing he admitted that pleased me is that there are things he needs to learn,? said Soulforce member Dr. Dionne Bates, an Atlanta-area therapist. ?He gave the impression he is willing to learn those things. In order for healing with our community we have to give him time to learn.?
In December 2004, Long held a ?Re-ignite the Legacy? march protested by gay groups. Banning same-sex marriage was the No. 1 item on the march agenda, followed by reforming the education and health care systems and creating economic opportunities for minorities.
According to Soulforce, the focus of the march, and several comments Long made, have not been correctly interpreted by the press and gay people. Southern Voice has attempted numerous times since 2004 to reach Long to clarify his position, but interview requests have been ignored or turned down by New Birth officials.
Soulforce members offered to lead workshops and provide materials to help Long and his church learn about homosexuality, an offer a church spokesperson said the church is contemplating.

So for you who felt Long was strongly against homosexuality, as I also felt, it appears we had Eddie Long “misunderstood”. And folks like myself were not simply hearing it in the “media” I like some of you reading this was in the building hearing words from his own mouth that jived with what the media was reporting.
But as I said, Eddie was supposed to be keeping a watch on his assembly rather than immorality outside of it. Which is why his embracing a homosexual group that calls its self “Christian” is so dangerous. Even if he goes no further with Soulforce he went too far. And with Long’s “spiritual father” TD Jakes wanting to speak more with Soulforce, what message do you think TBN will swing towards?

Thanks for continuing in your efforts to sound the alarm IC. I’m still shaking my head over this story. I haven’t tapped my sources still at CNB, but I really want to know what Eddie said to his club members yesterday regarding this story (if he said anything at all).
We also can’t ignore the fact that Eddie loves money – he fleeced his own charity to get more of it, and all of his previous concessions happened because of the impact to his revenue (he supported Cynthia McKinney because her father held up a piece of legislation that funded one of his non-profits). Eddie knows that CNB has a large homosexual population (including those close to him- but they faithfully lay their money at the alter (just like everybody else), so he’s instituted a “don’t ask – don’t tell” policy. Rembember, Eddie believes that “the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous” so he doesn’t care where it comes from (I’ve heard him say that in person with my own ears).
I had an interesting dialogue with a soon-to-be former member at Andre Landers’ club (Eddie’s “son”). This person hadn’t heard of the story (of course) but they admonished the members of CNB to repent of this foolishness. Of course, I had to remind them that Eddie is their “spiritual grandaddy”, and their “daddy” was soon to follow since he’s losing money every time they unlock the doors. Andre also has closeted homosexuals in his club (the choir had to be restructured several times over the last 6 years in order to “purge spirits”) and he NEEDS the money a lot more than Eddie these days. I told this member to get ready for an eventual Soulforce visit to Andre down in Hampton, GA.
If this isn’t a living, breathing example of 1 Timothy 6:9-11, then I don’t know what is.

Yea when Billy McKinney (a politician in that area and father of Cynthia) held up Eddie’s plans, I believe it was zoning for a senior center he wanted to build right? Suddenly Eddie went from speaking against Cynthia McKinney supporting abortion, to saying good things about her like she was OK. He also stopped having the Republican pro-life opponents of McKinney in prominent view. And really it’s deeper than that one zoning issue. Because you know Eddie wants a road off I-20 to his club building (his own exit off the interstate, if he does not already have it). And you know Eddie is shady with the charities. So if he was building a “senior center”, Eddie probably had some plans to milk it. And what did Eddie do with the money he raised for that facility? Was it ever constructed? I was there back when he was trying to build it and gave towards it, in my ignorance being party to his “first fruits” scam, not a full paycheck, but of course more than I should have since I should not have been in his company at all. And Eddie knows if they would block zoning on one thing, they could block him on other efforts he might use to make money for himself, even if the senior center plan was of noble intentions. That was the only time I ever gave in the “first fruits” scam, since it was the only time he proposed to use the money for something I thought was decent. But the false enticement of a “big reward” in this life for me resulted in me giving a larger amount for personal selfish gain. That and delusion of legalism, that I just had to do it or Gawd would be so angry with me. So I fell for use of the “carrot and stick” game from Eddie. The proposal of the “senior center” put it all over the top in my mind as a “must”. When I should have been running away and giving to those in need apart from Eddie’s influence. A good idea, little legalism and a little promise of big monetary returns on investment.
I even remember making excuses for when people (who were not CNB members) would question me about the “put your money on the alter” thing. Oh thank God through His Only Begotten Son I’m no longer there being party to that mess.
So when Landers would “restructure” the choir, would he actually toss anyone out that was defiant in their immoral behavior? It would be good if this might help one of Eddie’s “sons” wake up.
Remember Eddie’s “son” Pastor Terrell L. Murphy? Remember how he used to practically WORSHIP EDDIE LONG in his adoration of the man? Murphy would give a sermon that was all about Eddie the first 15 minutes, it really was man worship. And seeing his “church” web site he’s still fawning over Eddie. Sporting the goofy trident ring and all! (I always felt when the light hit that supposed shield and cross symbol right, that it looked just like a dollar sign! It would look just like a dollar sign to me all the time when I was at CNB.) I wish something like this might help a brother like that WAKE UP and seek to follow the Lord instead of Eddie Long.

I’m sure he wasn’t passing out bibles, but whatever the mission it was certainly worth going there in person (remember – Eddie OWNS A PRIVATE JET).
Also, you’re getting your “Eddie Long pet projects” confused. He was trying to build the senior center on the campus of CNB – and he was “raising money” internally to make that happen. Billy McKinney held up $700K for “Project Destiny” – Eddie’s social service agency for trouble boys” until Eddie backed off of Cynthia and turned his back on her competitor. According to the Atlanta Buisness Journal in March 2001 (my emphasis in bold):
The “good work” of Project Destiny went on because Eddie endorsed Cynthia McKinney – Billy’s daughter.
Oh, and Terrell Murphy is a clone of Eddie Long – he was THE ONLY “son” that had a link to his church’s website from CNB’s website (until recently), and he’s replicated Eddie’s CNB in Charlotte ALMOST TO THE “T”. Eddie gave all of his “sons” those goofy trident rings (24K gold with row upon row of diamonds), and Terrell Murphy also got a PLATINUM NECK CHAIN WITH THE “TRIDENT” IN DIAMONDS!
Sounds alot like a pimp giving his, umm…workers(?) a “little something” to show folks who they belong to.
Another dirty secret is that Eddie’s “sons” (the ones he dispatched from CNB – New Birth South, New Birth Charlotte, and New Birth North) ALL had to pay an annual “distributors” fee to “license” the name and symbol of CNB – AND THEY TITHED TO EDDIE EVERY WEEK. Landers stopped paying his licensing fee in Jan of 2005, thus he changed the symbol from the “trident” to the “sword” that you see displayed so prominently on their website, in the church, etc. Andre is had luncheons (1 or 2 times per year) to honor “top givers” at his club AND HE GAVE THE “DONORS” GOLD OR SILVERL “SWORD” LAPEL PINS (they had to start selling them out of the “bookstore” when people complained that only “the chosen” were able to wear them). Also, Landers stopped “tithing up to his ‘daddy’” (as he used to say) about mid-2006.
If this doesn’t convince the sheep that CNB and anything that is spawned from it is ALL ABOUT MONEY, AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!

Yea Eddie likes that faith based money from Caesar! What insanity. It’s like the Apostles going to Caesar for money, it’s unbiblical. It’s like Jesus telling Herod to give him some funds. Eddie just can’t handle donations from people who claim Christianity, he’s got to get money from government, money taxed from people, taken by compulsion. Money from a source that does not promote Christ, but is simply the government of man. Money from people who are of all beliefs including atheists. But Eddie feels he should have it. Government took it and he feels Caesar owes him a cut.
Yea I was a mentor in Project Destiny. Eddie would make a big show when he gave the group a check. I wonder where the money came from? Well I guess I see where it came from. Eddie was not the first guy to think up Project Destiny, he borrowed the idea from someone else. The group was doing good work, but funds for the group were always short, while Eddie enjoyed the mansion, cars and yea now he’s got the jet! Why should the Mand of Gawd refuse the riches to help kids? There are so many people who actually do work to do good things in groups he initiated, that see so little of that money he rakes in
. They really should leave, they could do good elsewhere and be apart from apostasy. The groups are all like show pieces, while he funds them a little and lives like a corporate CEO and you know that’s how he speaks of himself at times.
If I recall correctly, Terrell Murphy once even spoke of his relationship to Eddie like that of Moses and Aaron. It’s insane the level they put a pimp on! And they REALLY feel they have to listen to Eddie and all Eddie says because Eddie is the one hearing the voice of Gawd, just like Moses
. They’ve totally missed Hebrews 1:1-2. Still depending on a man they’ve deemed prophet to tell them all they should do.

When Landers stopped paying “tithes”, they should have realized then that the whole claim of a “church tithe” is a bogus unbiblical legalistic scam. Even Christ denying Hebrews know the old Levitical priest system is not around. And they’re the ones who are supposed to be holding to the Old Covenant.
Oh if people who claim the Lord’s name would really figure out how they’re being played on cherry picked old covenant legalism when they should be walking in grace CNB would be EMPTY.

They cleared the ground alright (Eddie brokered a deal with the county that they could have dirt from CNB’s campus if they cleared it for free). They cleared the land, but it’s empty. Eddie also solicited funds from “partners” to help with the senior center, but no one bit, so he abandoned the idea. Who know’s maybe that’s what “Beyond Tomorrow” is about
Also, Eddie did get the county to build an offramp from I-20 that makes it’s easier to get to CNB from the interstate.
Oh that I pray that this is true. I’m afraid that there will always be those who ignore the priesthood of every believer through relationship with Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:9) and still rely on Eddie and his ilk to hear from/speak to God on their behalf. Not that we should equate ourselves as co-intercessors with Christ, but that we should recognize that we can access the Father through Jesus – not a pastor, then Jesus.
I know better than anyone else – the truth hurts, and it doesn’t always fit into a neat package. I labor more in the Word now that I ever did – and I was in ordained ministry! It takes work to study to show yourself approved – and saints just don’t want to accept the charge…they’d rather sit like baby birds and close their eyes, open their mouths, and lean their head’s back in order to be fed.
It’s disgusting…

I just finished talking with a rep from a major religious organization. They wanted to know if I could seek to talk with Eddie Long about the S/F visit. They were shocked when I gave them the full monty on this.
I am still disturbed that NONE of the major black preachers has not even so breathed a word of this publicly. I wonder if they too are scared of a visit or if they are part of the money circle.

Pastor Foster, I’m starting to believe that many black preachers (particularly those from mega-churches – defined as any church with over 2,500 worshippers who attend regular services) are afraid to touch this subject because of the HUGE financial impact that it will have on their weekly revenue stream. Adding to the peril, these “churches” are protected via their precious 501c(3) tax exemption status, so when the pro-gay lobby finally succeeds in bending the government to their will, these pastors are going to have to tow the line in order to keep their “protected” status.
What we’re seeing now is simply the first rumblings of the eventual “bending of the knees” of these “pastors” to the wicked antichrist.

Why should any of them speak against Eddie Long, when most of them are endorsing a man who is member of an apostate denomination that affirms homosexuals and promotes the heresy of Black Liberation theology? (Oh, that’s right, he quit once the TV news folks played enough tapes for the public…but he has never denounced the doctrinal tenants of UCC and Black Liberation theology as heresy!)
You see, for them to call out Eddie Long when they promote Barack Hussein Obama, Junior would be a bit hypocritical.

speakingtruth, you are right to mention how government will be leveraged by the homosexual lobby. We see how they try and act as if they are the new “civil rights movement”. The real original civil rights movement was able to have government change Mormon doctrine. So it will be coming for these weak kneed mega spots in regards to homosexuality. (It’s going to be interesting to see who stands on truth then! Slap your neighbor on the head and say “persecution coming”.)
(And the Mormons will never apologize, because they feel their false god wanted Blacks to be in secondary roles till he gave them “revelation” to make any changes. Revelation by government that is, just like their change in stance on polygamy.)

I still believe the Bible: The love of money is the root of all evil. As I said before this is a good because the tare are being identified and the hirelings are being identified by the trail to their treasures.
These yellow back preachers throw out the doggie bones to make it seem like they are hell bent against homosexuals, but now the real deal is going down and their evil money lusting hearts are being exposed.
This same money angle is at the heart of many manicipalities and their nondiscrimination policies. Isnt it telling how satan loaded the trojan horse with money and talent before sending it into the church?

IC, I remember that throwing of money on the alter thing. I remember a “Mand of Gawd”, coming to my former church and that was a big part of his message. His thing was, if the message is good and you feel it, just get up at any time during the service and cast your money and anything of value you have, at the feet of whoever is bringing the message. He got a lot of money that day. I even remember once removing the gold bracelet from my wrist and casting it on the alter. I feel so foolish looking back at the many stupid things that I did because I really love the Lord and wanted to please him it was’ent about pleasing the pastors. I wanted to please God and I wanted to believe that these people who we look up to as leaders of the body are people of integrity. I never found the need to replace that bracelet.

Rascoe, what you have described in your story is the entire premise why this site and others are up today….to warn the unsuspecting masses whose supreme motive is to please God. I remember doing the same thing back in my day (thank GOD I stopped that). I have seen too many services conclude with money and all manner of checks and jewelry left on the platform (altars are not of this day) just to see them collected and given to the speaker, with a cut likely given to the pastor should the speaker be a guest.
I did all that I did (tithes, offerings, “served” in the church, attend all conferences, classes, seminars, traveled, etc., etc., etc.) out of sincerity of serving God. It was at this time that I was being fleeced for all that I had (money, time, talent, dignity, respect), all in the name of “serving man as unto God.”
Thank Him for your eyes being open.

I dont know if you have ever heard of the book, “Living on the down low” by JL King, it is a secular book. I read it some years ago, borrowed from my pastor. One of the things I remember most on reading that book is that he said his first experience was with a deacon at his church, someone he looked up to and who seduced him. There is a lot of them hideing behind wives and the bible.

I have that book myself, and purchased it at the time of its release. I do remember King making note of having that experience with a deacon, and making note that this is a HUGE problem within Black churches specifically. This, unfortunately, is nothing new. There have been other males that have come out and admitted being sexually assaulted by “men” in leadership, including Tonex, for which he has been suspected of being homosexual (or bi-) for years.

Thats my thing ncatina, they are there undercover in the church, they can recognise each other, but others cannot. That means, they can be anyone, not to go on a witch hunt here. Why not TD Jakes, Eddie Long, Terrell Murphy and others, I am not saying that they are. However, I will not put anything pass these people, they are not saved, nor do they have or entertain the Holy Spirit, who convicts us when we are straying. Remember Ted Haggarty. There are many more Teds to be exposed. If Eddie Long could not stand firmly for what he believed then he probaly did not believe it at all.
