Check out this letter signed by many of those known to be figures of the “Religious Right”. All trying to defend pulpit pimps from the investigation of US Senator Charles Grassley. Notice Donald E. Wildmon of the American Family Association is a signer along with others you may know. Roman Catholics are also signers, showing there is no commitment to sound doctrine among the group. Ken Blackwell, the one many of us wanted to become governor of Ohio is also a signer. Showing he’s part of this filthy lot and now chairman of “Coalition for a Conservative Majority”. He’s got to defend those big money pimps that might support a Republican candidate. (Which might include himself.) Mathew Staver, head of Liberty University’s school of law is also a signer and as I’ve said there are many others, be sure to check out the list yourself.
It’s a shame, that instead of there being admonishment for so-called pastors to abide by Romans 13 and obey a request from government officials, a request that in no way is precluding anyone from doing honest ministry, this pack of “religious right” figures are seeking to run cover for the pimps.
It shows the so-called “Religious Right” really does not care about the Christians they pander to for votes. The pimps targeted by Senator Grassley are the bottom of the theological barrel. They pimp Christians for money and spread false doctrines like cancer. But instead of the “Religious Right” standing against bad doctrine, they could care less about the doctrine. You won’t see them speaking out if the old lady was conned into giving her last bit of money and forsakes medicine she needs because somebody on TV told her Gawd would make it better if she sent him her money NOW. They are just upset their “Conservative” political allies are facing scrutiny.
If those under investigation are so Christian, than they should be told to cooperate and show they have nothing to hide.

Are we not told the lawless one will assume rule in this world before our Lord returns, 2 Thessalonians 2? Didn’t Satan himself let it be known these earthly “kingdoms” were under his command and he would grant them to Jesus if Christ would have worshiped him, but Christ refused, Luke 4:5-8 [click to expand link].
So I warn you fellow Christians. Don’t allow yourselves to be too caught up in the politics of this world. Christ did not bow to Satan for earthly political gain and we should not think having a mind continually focused on politics will do us good. This world is in the power of the evil one.

Hold up a minute. Where was this ‘religious right’ when those kids were illegally stolen from their homes without due process by texas? Or is it only beneficial to speak up for conning adults who think that God is pleased with $20+k toilets in a plane and giving Bentleys as ‘gifts’? If I wasn’t disgusted before I am now. They never fail to show their true garments, that of wolves, and still people follow them.

I don’t think it was the duty of any religious (or religious leaning) group to try and step in when government went after abuse in a cult. Just as they have no business trying to jump on Senator Grassley now.
The former leader of FLDS is none other than Warren Jeffs, who was fully prosecuted. Now are we to act as if the mess stopped because their former head man is behind bars? He is their “prophet” and taught them the immoral things were the “will of Gawd”.
What needs to be asked is given polygamy is against the law in the state of Texas, why are these law breakers in FLDS being allowed to so blatantly break the law and everyone act like they are the victim, when they openly break the law and likely break other laws in secret?

There are lots of people who have lived together and call each other their spouses but are legally not. Not to say I agree with them, because I don’t. But they were never processes properly, otherwise the judge would not have had to give the kids back. By the way isn’t TD sposed to get his own show like Dr. Phil?

Yea they are “off the grid” so to speak and obviously it is good the state does not acknowledge their “marriages”.
I guess due process is playing out, but I highly doubt the mess beyond polygamy ended with Warren Jeffs getting locked up. Others who have left that cult have said much goes on that never will be reported.

As long as there are people that are willing to give them their money they will continue to fleece the flock. If more people would read the bible for themself and trust the Holy Spirit to open up their understanding to truth this madness would end. Another thing that promotes the fleecing is greed. The pimp tells them to “give and it shall be given to them 100 fold, and because of greed for the things of this world and keeping up with the Jones’, they continue to buy this lie. Its amazing the garbage people will believe, just because they want to have what the pastor and the “firstlady” have. The pastor say, he must look good and the congrigation will too……NOT.

It’s a shame they toss out that “100 fold” line and many don’t figure out that the Apostles totally received that “100 fold” and were homeless, Mark 10:28-31 and 1 Corinthians 4:11. All they received was because they gave and kept giving. They had many who loved them and would give to them, but because they did it for the Lord, they had no desire to retain for themselves in this life. And greater their rewards are in Heaven for it, Luke 12. They were the least (which actually means greatest) of us, the greatest of servants.

I wonder if in their alone time these people ever think of the tumult they cause in the lives of the spiritually ignorant. I know we are all to study for ouselves, but I am also sure that these people will have to give an account to the Lord for what they are doing. For example, my friend called me last night very upset. Sometime recently a prophet told her that she would be receiving a significant sum of money this month(June) and the Lord said she was suppose to invest some of it. She assumed that her tax check would definitely be the significant sum. Hoping that it would be $1000 or at least $600, she began to mentally spend the money before she got it. Only to find out that it is only $300. She was furious, she could not understand how she has gotten so many prophesies over the years and none comes through. I have told her on more than one occession not to run behind these false prophets and every meeting that they have, but to no avail. I even recommended your blog, but no interest.

Dear Rascoe1, I had to learn the hard way when it came to giving to ministries and so-called prophets and getting a prophet’s reward. There are TRUE prophets of the Lord–the real sincere ones do not usually beg or twist your arm for Money!
I went to the scripture and these are the test(s) that you can give to your friend…If you are a prophet of the LORD give me a SIGN!

(21) And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

rascoe1 – Why is she not looking to scripture instead of men? She should be reading the scriptures and praying. Allowing God to speak to her, rather than her looking for someone to tell her something extra-biblical.
She already was given all the prophetic revelation she will ever need.

My dear brother IC, I have talked to her over and over again, sometimes I think she gets it, then talking to her later proves that she didnt. She is literally looking for a man to care for her. She is over 50, single and having a hard time financially and just thinks that a man and the prosperity circuit is the answer. I have encouraged her both in the word and giving her my different testemonies of trusting Cod, waiting on him and the results of both, to no avail. I am now at my wits end corner and can only listen while she speaks. I feel like a broken record. These pulpit pimps dont really know the damages they do to the weak minded, the greedy, and those who love material things and are not finalcially able to support their taste. The pimps tell them that they should clame anything they want, sow a seed and believe God for it. I have friends that make serious financial commitments, that puts major strain on themselves and their marrages because of this foolishness. “God dont want them to look or live like the poor, God is rich , being the owner of cattles upon a thousand hills”.

Brother IC, I did not get back to thanking you for your prompt response to my email last week. Thank you! I will comment with what we discussed and how we feel about Grassley’s requests as a confirmation to what you are witnessing to the Body of Christ.
My pastor and I had a church meeting Saturday and we feel 100% confident that we are compliant to GOD and to Caesar! The reason we registered our 501C-3 Church was to be TRANSPARENT to 1. ALL/ANY MEMBERS
2. ANY GOVERNMENTAL OBSERVER or OFFICIAL AUDITOR, Federal, State, and Local!
Aabout:
A. ALL $$$FUNDS$$$ received into the ministry and
B. ALL $$$FUNDS$$$ paid out of the ministry for expenses!
Currently, no one takes a salary because we are small!
We strive to be 100% led by the Holy Spirit, the Word of GOD, and compliant to the Government without COMPROMISING to Caesar.
Now concerning the oversight by Grassley. Churches/Ministries receive money/mammon with Caesar’s inscription…U.S. Dollars, cash, check, credit, stocks, bonds, jewelry, etc.! Brother IC, have you done any discussions on the SIN of Bondage to money. I do not have the statistics to back up my claim, I giving my opinion here…in my 10 plus years of dealings with Church leaders from various denominations and sects, I would say 90-95% are scripturally unsound and in TOTAL ERROR when it comes to demanding people to give tithes and offerings for buildings and taking care of the Bishop, Pastor, 1st lady, etc., etc.(LOL-Lord Help us!) In fact, these same 90-95% church leaders are putting the sheep(I was one of them) into the Bondage to Money!
This sin that my family and I am recovering from for the past 3 years for “sowing seeds” to PIMPS nearly bankrupted my marriage financially. The more I gave and deceiving and convincing(LOL) myself and my loving faithful, submissive wife to give, give, give and trusting “the man of God”, the worse things got financially for us! God blessed my heart to be a giver but slick preachers were taking advantage of my generosity with the false promises of returns–I have seen $100 prayer lines, and worse! I have repented and vowed to God and my wife to never go down this road again!
