Prosperity Club of Nashville, TN - Mt. Zion Baptist Church Tells Women to Show Some Skin in July!

by @ 4:09 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

Now I understand July in Nashville is hot. I used to live there. I also know from living there that Mt. Zion Baptist Church is the big Word of Faith Prosperity Pimping club in that town. Lets just say I went once and never went again. The “Senior Pastor”, “Bishop” Jospeh W. Walker, III is part of the Executive Council of Super Pimp Paul Morton’s Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. Well does the “bishop” of Mt. Zion tell women to dress modestly and in July while dressing to stay cool not show off cleavage and such? (The place has a great AC system by the way and although I only visited one I’m sure it’s good at all 3 of their locations around Nashville.) Well you go to the web site for Mt. Zion Baptist Church and see what picture is in the box that says “July is Casual Month” and see the picture for yourself. 2 women in very low cut tops and tight fitting jeans. What good does it do a man for a woman to be showing off part of her pectoral muscles and the curves of her thighs in the House of God? I say none. I mean at least during the church meeting can the women cover up some of what God gave them?

I’ve got this screen shot of the page in case you view this post late and miss the July promotion for women to show their flesh.

It’s one thing to tell people to dress casual and personally I don’t feel there has to be any “rule” to “dress up” for a church meeting. However, we have to keep in mind that lust of the flesh is real and the Word of God commands that women claiming the Lord’s name display a certain level of modesty.

1 Timothy 2:9-10 (New American Standard Bible)

9 Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,

10 but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.

Discreetly, that means I should not know what a good portion of a woman’s bare mammary glands look like when I’m not her husband!

1 Peter 3:3-4 (New American Standard Bible)

3 Your adornment must not be merely external–braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;

4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

Mt. Zion is a club “church” that targets college aged kids. These are the folks who have had much difficulty when it comes to keeping flesh in check AND dealing with the consequences when they stumble.

Really the whole prosperity doctrine taught by people like Walker and others is a lie of the enemy, that runs totally counter to the true gospel that teaches contentment. His “tithe” promotion is a scam. Still, while the club is really caught up in all sorts of bad doctrine, it’s sad to see their web site promoting even more error. It’s a wild growth of leaven and does not represent the true gospel of the Lord Jesus.

False Christ Claiming Homosexuals Celebrate That Mega-Pastors Opened Doors and Ate With Them. Nevermind 1 Corinthians 5:11.

Oh how I recall when some would do what Christ commands when reprobates falsely claiming the Lord’s name would come to their doors.

Gay Rights Activists Arrested at Liberty University - March 10, 2006

LYNCHBURG, Va. — More than 20 gay rights activists were arrested on trespassing charges Friday when they stepped onto the campus of Liberty University, the school founded by the Rev. Jerry Falwell.

Many of the activists were part of Soulforce, a Lynchburg-based group on its first stop of a nationwide “Equality Ride” tour to promote gay rights at the nation’s conservative Christian universities and military academies.

Some 60 people, including 35 members of the Equality Ride bus tour, gathered for the late morning rally on a sidewalk outside the school’s main entrance. A music group played guitars and sang 1960s peace songs.

The 20 activists who actually entered the campus were arrested immediately.

Several Liberty students spoke to the Soulforce members. But the group didn’t always find support. Comparing homosexuals to drug users and adulterers, Liberty senior Tray Faulkner said the university disapproves of any alternative lifestyle. “I know you guys don’t think it’s a sin,” he said. “We do.”

For all his issues, Jerry Falwell was a “mega-pastor” who knew how to address this as scripture commands.

1 Corinthians 5:11 (New American Standard Bible)

11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler–not even to eat with such a one.

People who desire to remain in sin and act like Christ affirms sinful activity get no meeting!

But now, we see homosexuals went to 6 “mega churches” and were able to have all 6 “mega-pastors” meet with them and also attended worship services with all 6.

Gay Days at America’s Mega-churches - June 26, 2008

Austin, TX (PRWEB) June 26, 2008 — On Father’s Day 2008, a group of LGBT and straight-ally families attended services at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. The next day, a smaller group of about 8 families met with pastors and other staff of the influential mega-church for lunch and an emotional conversation about faith, family, and the status of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the church.

The visit was the conclusion of a six-week family road trip to initiate dialogue with mega-church congregations across the nation. In December 2007, organizers of the project–which is called The American Family Outing–invited the leaders of six mega-churches to match families from their congregations with LGBT and straight-ally families for a meal and conversation. Then, on Mother’s Day 2008, the outing began with a visit to Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

“Through the American Family Outing, we were able to share our families and our lives as out and proud LGBT people of faith with some of the biggest religious leaders in America,” says Paige Schilt, Soulforce Media Director and one of the lesbian moms who participated in the project. “Along the way, we learned a great deal about the state of mainstream evangelical culture.”

“On the one hand, there’s still a tremendous amount at stake for high-profile churches to meet publicly with LGBT families. They took a lot of heat just for talking to us, and we appreciate that.

As a fitting conclusion to a project about faith, love, and justice, several participating couples–including Soulforce founders Mel White and Gary Nixon–were married in California on June 17 and 18, 2008. See pictures for more details.

The American Family Outing is a collaboration between Soulforce, COLAGE, National Black Justice Coalition, and the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches.

That’s right, the homosexuals were so giddy they were able to tour the “mega churches”, that they ran off and had a so-called “wedding”. And we KNOW it’s not a “marriage” that God has joined, because the TRUE Lord Jesus Christ said:

Mark 10:6-9 (New American Standard Bible)

6 “But from the beginning of creation, God MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE.

7 “FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER,

8 AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH; so they are no longer two, but one flesh.

9 “What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

As the Lord said:

So we are in times of apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2), where homosexuals can frolic around (Romans 1) the largest “churches” in America and “appreciate” that not a single one kept God’s mandate given to the church through the apostle of the Lord Jesus named Paul in 1 Corinthians 5:11.

(And in keeping with 1 Corinthians 5:11, you false christ pro-homosexuals folks who call yourselves “christians” need not attempt making comments here, you’re not allowed.)

TD Jakes and the Earring Mystery.

by @ 2:58 am. Filed under Questionable Items

I was not going to say anything about the wedding of TD Jakes’ daughter and in that regard I’ll only say I wish her the best in her marriage.

The only reason I’m making a post about this at all is because it appears there might be a big time cover-up in progress that is best exposed. I mean when I first heard Jakes had an earring on at his daughter’s wedding, I was not “floored” because I know TD Jakes is a false teacher who is too cozy with homosexuals anyway. And so I was not going to make any posts about it at all. Because it just seemed, typical. I also was not going to make any post, because I’m not trying to drag Jakes’ daughter into her daddy’s mess, I wish her the best in her new marriage. But it seems there might be a cover-up at work that is only involving TD Jakes (not the kid) and that needs to be exposed. So check out the video below.

TD JAKES AND THE VANISHING EARRING A MALANIKAI EXCLUSIVE

And for the record, I don’t know Malani Kai from Eve and just stumbled upon this video she made. Because I noticed there are differing pictures out there and I was trying to figure out what was up.

I’ve heard people saw Jakes with an earring in Entertainment Tonight footage. So that lends credibility to what Malani Kai is saying. Erngeo told me people were telling him about the earring and Entertainment Tonight footage.

The Entertainment Tonight footage was on a video sharing web site, but was pulled.

And it appears Essence magazine had an “official” photo that has changed on their web site. Oddly, most of the pictures on Essence.com have the “ESSENCE” watermark clearly visible, EXCEPT a few that would show any jewelery in Jakes’ left earlobe. All the Essence.com Sarah Jakes’ wedding pictures have their watermark except the few that would show Jakes’ left earlobe. It smells really dirty and looks to me like Jakes is running a cover-up to keep up “appearances”.

A Democrat Details His Issues With Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. and Obama’s Cult Following.

by @ 6:31 pm. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

This guy just had me falling over, because although he’s a Democrat, he’s flat out honest in explaining why the campaign of Barack Hussein Obama, Junior is one big fraud.

Below is a video playlist of 6 videos of varying length. None more than 10 minutes and some as short as only 3 1/2 minutes in length. So it’s way less than 40 minutes total. Each will autoload automatically once you start the videos running. Excuse that this Liberal Democrat uses some foul language at points. He mentions a David Duke video in the 4th video, which I’ve included in this playlist as video #5 of the 6. This guy thinks Obama will lose. I’m not sure if he’s right about that, but his points against Obama and the Obama fanatics are good viewing.

Please watch this in full BEFORE making any comments.

Playlist: A Democrat Detailing Issues With Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

I can’t bring myself to vote for any of the major candidates for President. But if you know of a video where someone details issues with other major candidates and presents it as well as that gentleman has done, feel free to let me know about it.

Obama Supports DC Handgun Ban
(Obama before the US Supreme Court ruling on the DC Gun ban, February 11, 2008)

Obama: I’ve been consistent on guns!
(Obama after the US Supreme Court ruling on the DC Gun ban, June 26, 2008)

Before the US Supreme Court decision on the DC gun ban, he felt the ban was good. Then after the ruling that struck down the ban, he’s supporting the decision and saying “That’s not what I said…I’ve been very consistent…”
He fumbles his words a lot in that 2nd video in response to the question. A clear sign that he knows within himself that he’s lying and trying to cover his tracks. At about the 58 second mark counting up in the 2nd video, he has a tongue slip and almost fully said the word “contradiction”, but quickly catches it and uses the term “conflicts”.

BJ Ellis Has Passed Away

by @ 1:00 am. Filed under Rest in Peace

A small number of you may know of BJ Ellis of the BJ Ellis Show. I just received word that he passed away yesterday morning.

He encountered some sudden renal failure and had to enter a hospice recently, where he was till his passing.

Given BJ was so young (in about his 30s like myself) it’s unusual for someone of his age to no longer be with us. But although he is gone, it is better to be with the Lord, 2 Corinthians 5:1-8.

It was good to know BJ as a personal friend.

BJ will be missed given he is no longer here with us, but I pray his soul rest in peace with the Lord.

Below are all posts on this blog that referenced his show:

North Korea Turns Over Awaited Documents Late and is Rewarded!

by @ 5:07 pm. Filed under Terrorism and War

This does not make sense. North Korea just turned over some documents relating to a claimed dismantling of their nuclear weapons program. And for being 6 months late with the information and playing the USA for fools in the past, Bush gives them a reward. Removes trade sanctions from this VERY COMMUNIST AND VERY CHRISTIAN PERSECUTING nation and removes them from the terrorist sponsor list, so quickly.

Check out this, House Republicans blast Bush for North Korea decision.

I respectfully disagree with our President’s decision. And if he could run for a 3rd term, I could never bring myself to vote for him.

Now it’s possible some Americans will not get some type of work, that is instead done by North Korea! Bush is even moving ahead of the UN sanctions that were put in place in 2006. When North Korea was doing nuclear weapons testing.

The “Reverend” Lied and Said He Hurt His Back Unloading a Pony at a Church Function! (*Updated*)

by @ 8:43 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

Oh this story is just too insane. Brother Walter Kambulow gets the hat tip for this one.

Minister could get 310 years in prison published in the Free Lance-Star newspaper, Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA

Culpeper pastor pleads guilty to fraud charges, faces 310 years in prison

Date published: 6/25/2008

BY DONNIE JOHNSTON

A Culpeper minister faces a possible 310-year prison sentence after he pleaded guilty yesterday to obtaining money by false pretenses from the church where he was pastor for 17 years.

The Rev. Charles Shifflett also pleaded guilty in Culpeper County Circuit Court to filing fraudulent documents to obtain a workers’ compensation award, obtaining money by false pretenses from two insurance companies and making false statements on Virginia income-tax returns from 2003-05.

In addition to a total of 310 years in prison, Shifflett faces fines of up to $50,000. The 58-year-old pastor will be sentenced Oct. 8.

As part of Shifflett’s plea agreement, Commonwealth’s Attorney Gary Close dropped 19 felony and one misdemeanor charges against the defendant’s wife, Janice Shifflett. Other felony charges against Charles Shifflett were also dropped as part of the deal.

Shifflett pleaded guilty to inflating his income by $300 a week to the Virginia Workers Compensation Commission in order to receive higher benefits. He reported hurting his back unloading a pony at a church function.

In addition, according to Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Dale Durrer, Shifflett was receiving supplemental income during the period when he was not supposed to be working.

When Shifflett’s church salary was reduced $250 a week because of those insurance payments, Durrer said the pastor had the same amount shifted to his wife’s salary as a housing allowance. She also worked at the church.

That money was not reported on the couple’s tax returns, even though Janice Shifflett was not an ordained minister and not entitled to a housing allowance under Virginia tax laws, Durrer said. “Love offerings” and proceeds from the sale of livestock also were not reported as income, he said.

Shifflett was pastor of Calvary Baptist Church from 1988-2005. During his tenure, the congregation grew to be the largest in the county. The minister’s life began to unravel in 2005 when several former students of Calvary Baptist Academy charged that he had physically mistreated them while they were attending the church-operated school in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Under a plea agreement, Shifflett eventually pleaded guilty to one felony count of cruelty to children and six misdemeanor assault-and-battery charges. He was given a five-year suspended sentence and ordered to perform 700 hours of community service.

As the child-endangerment case was unfolding, a church split occurred and about 150 members assisted the minister in forming the First Baptist Church of Culpeper, where he became pastor.

During this upheaval, charges about Shifflett’s manipulation of church finances also arose. These allegations led to an investigation by the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Department of Taxation and the charges to which Shifflett pleaded guilty yesterday.

The Rev. Charles Shifflett pleaded guilty to 20 felony charges and one misdemeanor yesterday. They are:

9 felony counts of obtaining money by false pretenses from Calvary Baptist Church from 2002-05.

3 felony counts of filing fraudulent documents to obtain a workers’ compensation award.

2 felony counts of obtaining money by false pretenses from Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Co. of Fort Wayne, Ind.

3 felony counts of obtaining money by false pretenses from Church Mutual Insurance Co. of Merrill, Wisc.

3 felony counts of making materially false statements on a Virginia income-tax return.

1 misdemeanor count of making a materially false statement on a Virginia tax return.

Prayerfully, they’ll find someone better to take his place. Now that he’s been caught in the justice system of man, perhaps he’ll be humbled and God will grant him repentance. Before he faces the judgement of the Lord.

update 6/26/2008 3:28PM: Here’s an article from 2006 that details one of the cases involving Charles Shifflett abusing a child, Preacher is charged with paddling woman.

Death for a Child Rapist is Not “Cruel” or “Unusual” Punishment. States’ Rights Trounced Once Again.

by @ 5:22 pm. Filed under Judiciary

For background, read this article first. Then read La Shawn Barber’s post titled Supreme Court Rejects Death for Child Rapists. There she asks:

Do you believe child rapists should get the death penalty, whether or not they’ve killed the child?

I was going to post the following as a comment on her blog, but it started getting lengthy, so I figured I’d just post it here as a full post instead.

I teeter on whether I feel it’s OK to execute a child rapist. I guess if I had to vote on it I might vote execution to be OK, but then again I might not. But regardless, while I respect the US Supreme Court’s ruling, I feel it’s another stab against states’ rights. This ruling FIRST came down in 1977, when the US Supreme Court banned execution of rapists back then. The only difference now is that it has been reinforced in regards to when children are the victim.

I don’t find anything in the US Constitution that affirms death for child rapists is cruel. And honestly I think if given an opportunity, the 5 who voted against the death penalty today would outlaw it for all cases, if presented the right opportunity.

Justice Anthony Kennedy said:

The death penalty is not a proportional punishment for the rape of a child,

I don’t find this talk of “proportional punishment” in the Constitution and death for a child rapist is not “cruel” or “unusual”. Proportional punishment for a rapist would be to have them raped as many times as they had raped someone else. It would have to be done in a manner that knowingly disturbed the rapist’s sensibilities, so they actually felt they were “raped” as they did to their victim. I’m sure our US Supreme Court would call that “cruel” and I’d have to agree. We could say someone getting a year in prison for stealing an apple is not necessarily “proportional”, but it’s certainly not “cruel” either. Making an example of a thief is not a bad thing. So this whole talk of “proportional punishment” is a bit lame. If I stole a US Supreme Court justice’s car and was caught, would that justice be OK with simply taking my personal car as punishment? Instead of having me tried, convicted and spending time in prison for theft? Especially since during the time in prison (and black mark on my record for the rest of my life) I’d likely lose way more in potential income than the price of either car. So you can tell I’m not buying the “proportional punishment” argument one bit.

These are continual slaps against states having the right to do much of anything.

In time, homosexuals will be granted so-called “marriage rights” by this court. But just because man’s government declares it does not mean God affirms it.

Luke 23:41, One thief on the cross understood the sentence he received from government was just for his deeds. And never was it said by Christ or His apostles that government bearing the sword against criminal activity was unjust, Romans 13. Certainly we all deserved eternal damnation because we all were sinners and praise God some of us have been granted God’s saving grace. But God allows the governments of man to bear a sword for when someone must be removed from this life for an orderly society. I think our allowing states to decide was best, but they have been overruled by the US Supreme Court and we have to respect that ruling while it is the law of the land.

I’m not sure what happened to the US Constitution in all of this, but obviously we moved from considering that document a long time ago.

Our own President said of the US Constitution:

Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a god*****d piece of paper!”

So we have many in our government who don’t consider the Constitution much.

The Dark Alliance. Todd Bentley “Commissioned” by the False Teaching Revival Alliance Network.

by @ 2:31 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

The more popular the false teacher named Todd Bentley gets, the more other false teachers desire to lay their hands on him. And they will share in Bentley’s sins for doing so.

1 Timothy 5:22 (New American Standard Bible)

22 Do not lay hands upon anyone too hastily and thereby share responsibility for the sins of others; keep yourself free from sin.

Our brother Walter Kambulow (Wally) tipped me to the following.

A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM TODD BENTLEY - Jun 20 2008 07:14PM

Many of you know that an extraordinary healing revival has broken out in Lakeland, Fla., led by Todd Bentley. Unfortunately, there are some who have criticized or opposed this revival. History seems to be repeating itself. In order to stand with Todd and support Todd and this mighty work of God, Dr. Peter Wagner made the suggestion that some of the leaders of the Revival Alliance network, commission Todd as an evangelist and as a revivalist. Bill Johnson, John Arnott, and Che Ahn (three of the leaders of the Revival Alliance) have agreed to come for this special commissioning service. This is not an ordination service, since Todd is already an ordained minister, but this is to show apostolic support for Todd and to state that this revival is from God. Therefore, Todd would like to invite as many friends and partners to come and celebrate with Todd as he is commissioned by these apostolic leaders.

Join us in Lakeland Florida for this special service or join us on God TV or www.freshfire.ca

Basically, as Todd is exposed as a false teacher, other false teachers are circling their wagons around him. To defend their craft of heresy. Claiming “apostolic” authority. Folks, this is on par with the Roman Catholic garbage that comes from their “popes” who claim to have apostolic authority. They are all false teachers. Want to read words written by real apostles, go read your Bible.

C. Peter Wagner and much of what this bunch promotes was well exposed as false in the post Stan wrote titled: The New Apostolic Reformation: some of its shapers and methods. They’re also targeting our youth.

John Arnott was well exposed as false in this post.

PJMiller has a full slate of who these pimps are. In a post he has up about this on his blog titled: Todd Bentley to be ‘commissioned’…but by whom? Further showing how it’s a pack of heretics affirming a fellow heretic. A dark alliance!

Guess who else is giving a stamp of approval to Todd Bentley’s mess? False teaching false prophet Pat Robertson and the 700 Club, via his “Christian World News” broadcasts!

YouTubber FMPastorTodd forwarded me the following video, that exposes even more of Todd Bentley’s false teachings.

Todd Bentley’s strange doctrines and encounters EXPOSED

And here’s something more to consider. (Hat tip to Walter Kambulow again.)

Same old scam?

Even some Pentecostals are skeptical of Todd Bentley’s tent revival

The services were different in another way, Bentley claims: God showed up in a powerful way. A New York public relations firm was quickly hired to send out press releases claiming “documented healings,” and God TV relentlessly plugged its broadcasts of the services.

The services, now held in a huge air-conditioned tent, have gone on for months now, and as many as 10,000 people a night are coming. Bentley claims hundreds of people have been healed of everything from deafness to infertility—though he did admit that in the latter case we wouldn’t know for sure until the women actually got pregnant. As for the other cases, WORLD made repeated requests for documentation of healings, but claims of “privacy issues” were the only response.

A visit to one of Bentley’s services suggests that he is learning how to turn the big crowds into big money. ATM machines have been set up, providing attendees with ready cash for the offering plate and book purchases. The offering is now a significant part of the service, taking as long as 30 minutes. Bentley has not released financial information, saying he is “too busy keeping up with what God is doing” to pull the information together.

More than 150,000 people have attended the meetings, and at least 1.2 million more (according to God TV estimates) have watched on television. Even accepting Fresh Fire’s estimate of an average donation of $3 to $5 per person, it’s easy to see how donations could end up in the millions.

He’s got time to take the money, but no time to show where its going.

You’ve got to understand, even if he gave every dime to homeless shelters and even if every supposed “healing” was verified by reputable medical doctors, this man’s doctrine is FALSE. And we are warned that false prophets would come with their own signs and wonders.

Matthew 24:24 (New American Standard Bible)

24 “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

And the hospital in Lakeland, Florida, Lakeland Regional Medical Center is still open and has been open for business. With no reports of considering closing due to massive “healings”.

Stay away from Todd Bentley and all of his associates.
