Apostate John Hagee Leverages Pre-Tribulation Rapture Myth to Appease Apostate Roman Catholic Cult

by @ 1:50 am. Filed under Nuts on Parade

I never really thought the pre-tribulation rapture hoax would play into end times apostasy like this, but now I’ve seen it myself in black and white.

OK, so John Hagee has been kissing up to the cult of Mary and Christians have been falling out of their seats. I don’t see why, Hagee is an apostate, so him teaming with apostates should not come as a surprise to anyone. Him likely doing it because of his ties to presidential candidate John McCain should not be a surprise either. And honestly, I was not going to post about this at all, because it’s such a “no shocker” to me. But then just to see I read the actual letter Hagee wrote to the Catholic League (the cult of Mary defense group). And I saw much in the letter that the media is not reporting. You can see the letter and the Catholic League’s response here.

I’m going to cite some direct quotes from Hagee’s letter below with some analysis.

Out of a desire to advance greater unity among Catholics and Evangelicals in promoting the common good, I want to express my deep regret for any comments that Catholics have found hurtful. After engaging in constructive dialogue with Catholic with Catholic friends and leaders, I now have an improved understanding of the Catholic Church, its relation to the Jewish faith, and the history of anti-Catholicism.

So basically some cult of Mary folks had some spin sessions with him and he’s claiming to see it all different now. I guess if he was not doing this all for obvious political opportunism, we’d have to call him brainwashed. You’ve got to be careful when the term “common good” is tossed about. Because this is basically being used by Hagee to AVOID THE ISSUE OF DOCTRINE. Just toss some “common good” juice around and everyone gets into the Rodney King “can’t we all just get along” mindset. Never mind that both Roman Catholic tradition and the Word of Faith Movement are deep in error, with Roman Catholic tradition taking it to extremes the Word of Faith movement treads closer to daily. Never mind scripture being the foundation, use the secular humanistic “common good” as the foundation. And suddenly you don’t have to consider Galatians 1:8-10 [click to expand link] at all.

Now here’s where Hagee plays off the pre-tribulation rapture myth, to falsely claim Biblical foundation for his new found friendship with Roman Catholicism.

In addition, I better understand that reference to the Roman Catholic Church as the “apostate church” and the “great whore” described in the Book of Revelation is a rhetorical device long employed in anti-Catholic literature and commentary.

I hope you recognize that I have repeatedly stated that my interpretation of Revelation leads me to conclude that the “apostate church” and the “great whore” appear only during the seven years of tribulation after all the true believers - Catholic and Protestant - have been taken up to heaven. Therefore, neither of these phrases can be synonymous with the Catholic Church.

And there you have it and it goes on from there about how he’s paid tribute to his antichristness Benedict XVI and so on.

But now we see John Hagee has a dual-covenant heresy where anyone Jewish that denies Christ does not need to be ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ in Hagee’s view, because he feels they will be saved under the faded away old covenant, Hebrews 8:13 [click to expand link]. He’s added to this now, that the apostate Roman Catholic cult is not apostate, because there has not been the mythological “pre-tribulation rapture” yet. So now basically nothing calling its self “church” can be “apostate” using John Hagee’s logic.

What then were the groups who followed teachers of false doctrines such as Hymenaeus and Alexander, 1 Timothy 1:19-20 [click to expand link]? We know if the Apostle Peter spent time in Rome, it was only to oppose Simon Magus, not create the cult of Mary. There have been continual apostates and false churches spawned from them. While some may debate about the cult of Mary being the “great whore of Babylon”, all of good understanding know the cult of Mary is an apostate church. We know the traditions of Roman Catholicism fail to agree with scripture and create a false form of God. The great whore does not suddenly come to be in Revelation 17, it existed before getting to the point where God passes judgement on it. And when you realize the concept of pre-tribulation rapture is a myth, it makes Hagee’s assertions all the more awkward.

Perhaps NOW more will see how the myth of pre-tribulation rapture is being leveraged to lull saints into greater deception. But I know the elect of God will NOT be deceived. Pre-tribulation rapture theory is being used to gain acceptance of the cult of Mary. Will John Hagee get cozy with the cult of Joseph Smith Junior next?

(As always, efforts to promote the cult of Mary or Joseph Smith Junior are not allowed in comments here, 2 John 1:10-11.)

Man, I used to think when watching Hagee on tv that he was one of the ones who could never be bought, who would never bow to the beast.

    I was wrong.

    Greetings,

    Hope you are all well.

I am one for scripture. I can bite my tongue and hold my peace if I’m talking to someone and they abuse or misuse a scripture. I feel it better to patiently and kindly teach them the error of their ways.

But regarding Catholicism there is no way to compromise between the Word of God and the action of the Church. There are so many things wrong that one has to choose between the two. Just like light cannot mix with darkness, I could never coexist with Catholics.

For Hagee to say what he has said is to abandon the teachings of the Word of God and thus to deny Christ. It is not a minor issue nor a major issue that we disagree upon. The Catholic Church is in another realm of existance than the Church of Christ. If anybody was truly a believer in Jesus they would read their Bibles and within a short time they would take an exodus from the Catholic Church.

Furthermore it is Catholic dogma that only members of the Catholic Church are going to heaven. Why is that issue never raised?

The Word of God teaches that the end times would get confusing and deceitful. But with the ungodly actions we are seeing in these days the truth is shining through. Great men and women in history have died at the hands of the Catholic Church herself refusing to do what Hagee has done. Shame on you John Hage. I advise you that you repent and stand up for the Truth. Your soul is at stake.

    Love,

    John

Even if Hagee did repent for bowing to the Catholic church, he still has salvation issues. His soul is at stake, not just for “bowing to the beast” (Catholic church)as DL Foster states, but for “bowing to the beast” (Mammon). As a former attendee of Hagee’s church, I can attest that his sins are legion, for just as the Catholic church does, Hagee preaches another gospel.
