OK, now how does a sign under the command of a CHURCH share the message of Christ in saying the following to the world?

The old lady was correct to say:
It is freedom of speech, he have a right, but I don’t think he should do it in the name of God.
Pastor Roger Jewayne Byrd of Jonesville Church of God in Jonesville, South Carolina, says his church has now voted on the sign and it was 100% to keep the message up. That assembly is being led astray. Into using resources that should be for the message of Christ, being used for acts of revilers, 1 Corinthians 5:11 [click to expand link].
I feel at best, the Jonesville Church of God is at this point.

I don’t know who the church folks were that admonished the pastor, but they handled it well. Speaking with him, reasoning with him and then leaving it. Not that the sign is in any way racial, to cry it’s racial is the typical response to anything said against Obama and most prominent Blacks. But the sign does not serve the cause of Christ, that should be any Christian’s main issue with it. Under the guise of the Lord’s name a message is being sent that is not of Him.
If a pastor feels there are issues with Obama’s claim of being a Christian, those complaints should be based on doctrine, not a name. Such as:
If a pastor makes their stand on doctrine alone, they have firm footing to note they are speaking in theological and not political terms. However, the issue with why Jewayne Byrd probably won’t use that angle. Is because to do so without partiality, would mean he’d need a sign for Hillary Clinton and our current President too.
The Jonesville Church of God is part of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) denomination. Perhaps a fellow saint within their own group might be able to speak with Pastor Roger Jewayne Byrd about the error of his ways.

It would appear that in this pastor’s perverted view of Christianity ,only people with Western names are permitted to believe in Jesus.He should read the story of Daud Hassan Ali, a man who was killed because he converted from Islam to Christianity.

Erngeo, I don’t think it has anything to do with names in the least…what it has to do with is that some Christians and non christians seem to think that Obama is secretly hiding is Islamic background, hence the tie into Osama…its crude and wrong from a Christ centered pov but I understand what he is trying to do…
And on another level it is wrong in believing Obama is a secret muslim…Obama is repulsive for his radical left wing views…we don’t have to make up scurioulus rumours about the man…..there is simply NO WAY that he is a muslim now…he couldn’t hide that from the masses….
Indeed, as I have said elsewhere, he is the world’s most famous apostate from Islam….and that could be quite dangerous for him considering what Islam believes about those that leave islam…ie death sentence….
As Christians, we shouldn’t be party to rumours about people and certainly this Pastor should take this sign down….it is casting incorrect aspersions on Obama…..and not representing the cause of the King we serve!

I agree it should be taken down. Obama is a clown and he has enough baggage and poor policy positions that will ensure that he will not become the President. He and Hillary are making this election much easier for old man McCain. I believe McCain will win by default because so many Democrats will not vote for the other candidate vs. McCain because of the heated rhetoric and their love for their preferred candidate.
I don’t think Obama’s past Islamic faith will hurt him. I think his closet Marxist views will. Hanging around terrorist Aires (sp) and Rev. Wrong doesn’t help him either.

Obama may not be Osama or a current practicing Muslim. However, he does have Muslim terrorist fundraisers on his campaign and his campaign web site.
How anyone can vote for this guy now is beyond me.
