...why can’t we get a conservative born again brother or sister on the court? Why are the only conservatives Catholic?

If you start doing an inventory of the faith or non-faith of people in various positions political and otherwise, you'll wonder even more. And even with some who claim Christianity, when you examine further you're often disappointed, like Condi the Presbyterian enjoying man worship. And our President and so on...

Obviously you're not going to make as many social networking friends if you let it be known you feel Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation and reject man worship.

Great points. Pimpin Pope Benedict....I like that new title.

As for the conservative Catholic pundits, they get on my nerves as well. I am thankful for their conservative political voices but I get sick in tired of hearing about them being Catholic blah, blah, blah.

I am also happy with the FOUR conservative Supreme Court Justices that we have. They are strict constructionists and most of the time do a great job. However, it makes me wonder why can't we get a conservative born again brother or sister on the court? Why are the only conservatives Catholic? I worry that one day when the Pope totally loses his mind and wants things changed BIG TIME in the USA that these Catholic justices will become a "thorn in our side".

Spark, would you believe that every major cable TV news network aired every single one of his "mass" events in full without interruption?

See some of the other posts here about some of the mess that was going on.

...but a city-state, with your picture on the currency…that’s big pimpin’!!!

He's their role model. Just like some of the games they play for money came straight from Roman Catholic tradition.

On another note, I don’t see Laura Ingraham in the blogroll anymore. Did you recently remove her site? I was going to suggest that you might want to consider doing so. She was going on and on on O’Reilly about “holy father” this and “holy father” that.

I removed Ms. Ingraham and several others back when they were fawning over (flip flopping cult member, who's flip flops were so obvious he should have been rejected by all without even considering his cult membership) Mitt Romney. I've always known she was a Roman Catholic and one who at times would even express public disagreement with something his antichristness Benedict XVI might say or do. But she was there (the blogroll) for political not spiritual news and information. Some people I list for secular new and information that might be relative to things posted about here. But I do try and list people who are not living their lives for a political party (or heavily promoting a cult) and many were just showing they wanted to do any and everything for the golden GOP elephant. So when I can't stand them anymore I bump them from the blogroll too. (And usually it means I either stopped completely or cut back on listening to their show if they do radio.)

...many of them are way more into the worship of the republican party, Reagan, the USA and the flag than they are of the True and Living God.

Yup.

I was on a tv blackout last week and didn't get tuned back in until Sat night and Sun and I was simply astounded at the wall-to-wall coverage of Ratzinger's visit. The media myrmidons, and politicians were simply beside themselves with glee and homage. And the people...I saw adults running after his motorcade, Pelosi kissing his ring, but then I've seen people do worse trying to catch a glimpse of a famous recording artist or actor.

As I surfed Sun night, I could not believe that every major cable news network had cameras focused on the airplane awaiting him to board and depart! I will not even go into the fact that Ratzinger's plane is called "Shepherd One".

Anyway, this is an interesting posting because it reminded me of all the fashion attention Ratzinger received shortly after his inauguration. Do you remember that? Gucci sunglasses, Prada loafers, ermine trimmed pimp hat.. (see http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/22/AR2005122201914.html). It seems that he really is into the trappings of the office. And, really no different than the Longs, Dollars, etc. with their $5,000 suits, and Phantoms and Maybachs, and mansions and jet planes--their all just pimpin', except Ratzinger is on a whole other pimp level, forget a mansion he's got an entire sovereign city-state. Copeland may have his own airport, but a city-state, with your picture on the currency...that's big pimpin'!!!

This piece also made me think of a comment made by one of the priests commentating Ratzinger's departure on Fox News Sun night. He said that Ratzinger's brother Georg was interviewed prior to his brother's papal appointment and when asked if his brother would make a good pope, Georg said "no". The priest stated that that interview was played a lot prior to Ratzinger's appointment but that the higher ups must have had it squashed because it hasn't been seen since Ratzinger became pope. So, perhaps his brother, who is quoted in the article has truly known all along that little bro was really attracted to the money and material as the title of the post suggests.

On another note, I don't see Laura Ingraham in the blogroll anymore. Did you recently remove her site? I was going to suggest that you might want to consider doing so. She was going on and on on O'Reilly about "holy father" this and "holy father" that.

Although I agree with many aspects of conservative politics, the catholic background of Ingraham, Hannity, O'Reilly, Michelle Malkin and others pining over the pope has me examining their views a lot more carefully. It is sad, that in the thing that matters most, they are all 100% clueless and lost and that makes me question their world view overall. I am beginning to think many of them are way more into the worship of the republican party, Reagan, the USA and the flag than they are of the True and Living God.

Notice how the spirit of the age has infiltrated every aspect of society. Tancredo is absolutely correct, but Truth is meaningless in this subjective, irrational, postmodern anti-intellectual culture.

Relativism is the last refuge of the spiritually and intellectually bankrupt.

And all the while they are sending remittances back to Mexico, the RCC increases their take too! Of course they'll never desire orderly immigration into America, that would cost them too much money.

All I can say is WOW!! This open boarder mess really does become clear when looking at it in this light. Keep the boarders open to help the needy illegals and at the same time, weaken the U.S. economy, infrastructure, and weaken our national security. Then, the U.S. will fail to be a sovereign nation and will need to team up with the "one world government" with it's one world currency, and one world church headed by the antichrist pontiff himself.

Scary stuff but I suspect it will happen sooner rather than later.
