Without Walls Club being the Tampa, Florida “megachurch” Without Walls International. (Although given this article Covina sent me a while back, they might be in the middle of mega-downsizing.)
I’ve found a report by NBC News, that exposes so much dirt from the Without Walls Club, it makes one wonder how Randy and Paula White can show their faces during the day. Read the full report, because it’s about a LOT MORE than the headline indicates. Although what the headline notes is pretty terrible in its self. So its pretty apparent they are organizing political contributions, but you can read the full article and see how they claim it was not a church arranged action at all. We know businesses encourage their higher ups to fund certain political candidates and prosperity pimps are always talking about running “church like a business”…
I guess anyone on the staff at the Without Walls Club is paying 10%, plus whatever offerings are requested, plus political campaign contributions.

I.C., what do you think about churches that charge membership fees? I know for sure that there is one in Indianapolis, IN and Springfield, IL. My sister in Indy goes to one (don’t ask me why - it’s not in the genes - lol). It is so ridiculous that people are willing to pay membership fees on top of everything else they are “urged” to pay - and my sister told me that they don’t charge the membership fees per household - Every Single Member Has To Pay!!!; including your kids. And either her church or the church in Springfield, IL charges $200 per year (if in Springfield, it may not be per person, if in Indy, it’s $200 per year per person). It that not ridiculous!!! I’m waiting to see how long it takes these people to put up tents next door to the church to live in because they can’t pay rent. Then push the scripture that indicates that the priests lived close to the temple to maintain it so that the people feel obligated to “maintain” the Howssse of Gawd and save money on janitors. What a pitiful shame.

Trayjay, I want you to know that I’m still reading my Bible, but have not yet reached the part where saints were admonished to pay a “membership fee”

The only thing that surprises me is that the man contrived fee is ONLY $200/year per head.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe that we should take care of the church and support it financially, but things have gotten out of hand. Instead of building $30 million dollar buildings, why not erect housing for the homeless (or even tents for that matter)? It’s so all about money.

We are the church. I have to agree with those who mention that any notion of a “church owned building for Sunday and other meetings” is a concept we don’t see in scripture.
I’m not against a church group owning a building, but it would be good to be done in modesty.
Care of poor saints, a reasonable amount of financial care of good church elders and outreach ministry; those are the things church funds are to be used for according to scripture.

At the 1:06 mark of the video, I found it interesting how she recites the typical tithe teaching with the whole “robbing God” thing. Sounded like a very patterned response. I’m sure she wasn’t the only brainwashed like that. . .

Sick….I hope Grassley drops the Hammer on Them!!
On a side note, I do worry a little about the Grassley investigation. In this case, Grassley is doing what is right, but in the future, another, not so honest, Congressman or Senator might use Grassley’s investigation as precedent to go after Godly and Righteous Christian organizations and churches.

Don’t forget that they’re “selling” the church for $30 million even though they paid $9 million to build it.
I wonder if the saints who faithfully paid their tithes, offerings, love offerings, first fruits, tabernacle offerings, pastors appreciation and birthday money et al will get a return on their investment.
That would be a great example of the give and it will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together, running over that these vipers teach!

The likely answer to that would be “no.” Apparently, the current system of church fleecing NEVER took into consideration the parishoner’s partaking role beyond exclusively giving of self, time, energy, money and talent, and expecting nothing in return.

This is probably really petty (and I pray not a sin), but there is something really off with Randy White’s physical appearance. I don’t know how else to put it, but his mannerisms and demeanor reminds me of many a gay men I’ve worked with or encountered in my years in NYC. And I know the footage they keep showing is probably from around the time the Whites decided to divorce, but I don’t see any kind of chemistry between those two. They look like actors.
And I still don’t know how anyone can still take much of anything that runs on TBN seriously. You can only learn two things from those programs — how much and to whom to make the check payable.
