Oprah Winfrey Affirms She is an Apostate!

by @ 1:01 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

The woman is full of evil and in need of repentance.

Hat tip to Eric for this one.

God is Jealous of Oprah? Oprah New Age Blasphemy

Consider the following about Oprah Winfrey:

Oprah came up in a Christian home and has gone astray after once claiming to be a Christian. She is an apostate who denies the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ, she denies the truth of God and who He is.

  1. SteelGator Says:

Money and power absolutely corrupt and they corrupt absolutely.

  2. SteelGator Says:

Another sad point about Oprah is that MOST (not all) women love and worship her. Even born again ladies at my church love to talk about Oprah, Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz. She crosses all race, culture, ethnic, and socio-economic divides. Many women will vote for Obama because Oprah said so. The will get into yoga, because Oprah said so. They would drink poison if Oprah and Dr. Oz said so….Children wild…put them on medication because Oprah said so. She is a leader of a modern day television cult. It is like the blind leading the blind. Copeland, Jakes, Meyer at el need to learn how to market like Oprah does.

  3. SteelGator Says:

What about Jesus came to save does Oprah not get? He didn’t come to enlighten nor to condem but to save. That is what John 3:16-21 is all about.

  4. speakingtruth Says:

“Jesus came to show us Christ consciousness”…Huh?

How about Jesus came to bridge the gap between man & God? How about Jesus came to satisfy our sin debt to the Father so that we could fellowship once again with him?

This is amazing (but not really). I guess the only thing that keeps Oprah from being a “pulpit pimp” is that she doesn’t have a formal pulpit (although many women do worship at her “alter” daily at 4PM EST)…

IndependentConservative reply on March 10th, 2008 at 2:56 pm :

How about Jesus IS THE CHRIST? How about, all was made through Him? How about He is the Alpha and Omega? How about, He is God?

  5. trayjay Says:

And for those who still want to beleive that she started off right (when her
show first came on), this is proof that she has never believed. She had a
problem with the Word of God back in her 20’s. It’s just like the devil to
be patient in taking his time at whooing the people until they are ripe for
believing that he is such a good person. I wonder how many “Christians”
watched her Big Give yesterday and held that proud lump in their chest
that she’s “one of theirs” with no clue that she is just the devil. But
why should we be upset at Oprah – after all, lots and lots of preachers are
preaching the same lie. “You don’t have to say Jesus all the time and beat
people over the head.” Why is it that when people talk about bringing up the
Name of Jesus, it is looked at as abuse? The cautioning of His Name in hopes
of not offending is why so many people now follow the Oprah gurus of the world.
There is Power in the Name of Jesus. You cannot reduce Him to a consciousness.

  6. Caleb Phillips Says:

Sadly, Oprah doesn’t even realize that she is a pawn in Satan’s plot to lead souls on the expressway to the Lake of Fire & eternal damnation. Of course Satan has used this ploy before & has used thousands of people, from popes to dictators like Joseph Stalin & Mao Zedong & will continue, culminating in the coming Anti-Christ. May she repent & know Christ before it’s too late!!!

  7. Caleb Phillips Says:

It’s even sadder, seing as Oprah most likely has heard the Gospel preached, but views Christ’s claim in John 14:6 as too narrow-minded.

IndependentConservative reply on March 10th, 2008 at 3:39 pm :

It really affirms beyond all doubt that SHE WAS NEVER SAVED. God NEVER regenerated her and the more she heard the Gospel, the more it turned her off till she had to leave from formal association with any Christian church.

Perhaps God will one day grant her repentance and draw her to His Son, but it has not happened yet and if she dies in her present state, she’ll be an example of Hebrews 6:4-6. She got a taste, but was never saved. She tasted and turned away because she has not been truly called to Christ, John 6:64-66. Just like those who were called “disciples” for a time and ended up walking away from Jesus. Never really His and He knew it!

  8. BrotherMark Says:

What a bunch of utter nonsense! I have never heard anyone suggest that Jesus came to “start Christianity.” What in the world is “The Christ Consciousness?” I am very afraid for Oprah, and will keep her in my prayers.

SteelGator reply on March 10th, 2008 at 4:19 pm :

We can pray but she may be too far gone. Much harder for a rich man (or woman) to enter the kingdom of God.

  9. Praiser4Life Says:

It makes me sick to see Christians falling all over this woman considering how she views our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bind-em even has a desire to be like Oprah.

IndependentConservative reply on March 10th, 2008 at 6:15 pm :

Bind-em even has a desire to be like Oprah.

Of course, because Oprah is richer than she is  !

You know how that Prosperity junk works. It means in their deluded doctrine that Oprah has some greater level of “favor” on her life.

  10. 2thehilt Says:

Too bad that the people who think that Oprah has so much “favor” on her life, don’t realize that the enemy gives “gifts” too. Come to think of it, I think about what I was taught, growing up: “Don’t worry about what some folks have, in this go-round – It might be ALL they will EVER have.”

Oh, before I forget, you all are aware that Oprah is taking over the Discovery Health Channel and turning it into “OWN” – the Oprah Winfrey Network? First of all, I like Discovery Health, the way it is, because I learn quite a bit, from watching the program lineup. Now Oprah will have a wider network, with which which she can spew more of her New Age rubbish (“Course in Miracles”, blah blah blah). According to Isaiah 2:6, God doesn’t care for “eastern ways” (under which New Age rubbish can be categorized) to the point that Israel got into trouble, behind it.

    Here’s the link: http://www2.oprah.com/about/events/about_events_announcement.jhtml

IndependentConservative reply on March 10th, 2008 at 10:07 pm :

I knew she was buying it, but did not know she was planning to change it.

Another usually tolerable network down the drain! (I was not into their stuff on sex changes, elective plastic surgery and things of that sort, but the other programming was OK.)

  11. godlysoldier Says:

Was it just me or did it sound like she was “making it up” as she was going along! Watch her body language and eyes looking up and down, scratching her head at one point. It’s sad, because at one point in her life, she heard the truth (and just didn’t accept it with all of it’s HOLINESS) and from that point on, the enemy was allowed to come in and she was never able to come into the knowledge of receiving the full truth.
I truly believe she is a pawn in satans kingdom to lead “gullible-silly-so-called-christian-women” astray, because “some” christian women do think she is the next best thing to God. Sure, she’s done alot as a black woman from her meager start in life, but so what, she is truly anti-christ, because if you deny Jesus as being the only way, then you are anti-christ; and the main mission of the spirit of anti-christ is to keep sinners in darkness and lead christians astray from the glorious Light of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

As I always quote, the road to hell is paved with many “good intention” and unless Oprah repents and accepts Jesus as the Way, the Truth and the Life, she too will be on the “well- paved-good-intention-broad-road” that leads to hell.

IndependentConservative reply on March 10th, 2008 at 10:19 pm :

Most of what Oprah says seems to be as if she makes it up as she goes along to me.

  12. sbrenea Says:

I don’t know. Me thinks ya’ll are being a little hard on O. I have friends who are into Jungian crap, agnosticism, etc. My prayer for them is that God reveal Himeself to them just as He revealed Himself to me. I could not have come to an understanding of who God really is without His Holy Spirit. Thus, I don’t get mad at my friends who don’t know God through the redemptive work of Jesus. I just pray that they can see the gospel written on my life and come to the knowledge of Christ.

And as far as her influence on women: I like Oprah for the good work she does and as an entertainer; however, I’m not stupid enough to be swayed by her “spiritual journey.”

IndependentConservative reply on March 10th, 2008 at 11:20 pm :

sbrenea – Oprah makes an effort to influence doctrine. Hopefully you’ve checked the link above where she tries to suggest TO CHRISTIANS that Jesus is not the only way to salvation. Only broadcast to millions on HER SHOW that she controls. She is sending false gospels all the time and promoting all sorts of witches (Iyanla Vanzant) and such. Can you name for us a 1 hour TV show with as wide an audience as hers, that is pressing as much false gospel and endorsing false gods?

Muslims give money and can do “entertaining” things also. But I think with them you are not going to make so many excuses.

Oprah is not simply some woman you know in your neighborhood who is lost. Oprah is actively promoting and endorsing false gospels to others, to the open public via mass media, making her a false teacher of the worst kind.

Let’s see what the Bible says about Oprah.

Galatians 1:8-9 (New American Standard Bible)

8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

Given what we see in scripture, perhaps we are being too nice regarding “O”.

sbrenea reply on March 11th, 2008 at 10:46 pm :

But I’m not listening to her about Christian doctrine. I can’t imagine anyone doing so. Surely people understand she’s an entertainer. There are all kinds of entertainers who believe all kinds of things–all those crazy Scientologists. I may go see a movie they are in, but it doesn’t mess with my doctrine. I don’t see how she can lead people astray. If a person is really seeking the Lord, they are not going to turn on the Oprah show.

IndependentConservative reply on March 11th, 2008 at 10:55 pm :

    Hi there sbrenea,

I’m not understanding you. You’re saying a person seeking the Lord would not turn on her show, but you say early in your comment that you see her as an entertainer.

So which is it, are you watching her or not? I only ask because you said someone seeking the Lord would not watch her, so I’m trying to better understand your point.

Her show is about things she likes to discuss INCLUDING her doctrine. So she leverages it to lead people to her apostasy.

A Scientologist acting in a film about Chicken Little is not teaching cult scientology to me, but a woman who embraces the false doctrine of “The Secret” and makes a show about it for me certainly is seeking in a most overt way to teach me cult doctrine.

sbrenea reply on March 12th, 2008 at 9:06 pm :

My point was that if someone were seeking the Lord (meaning they are seeking to become a Christian), they would not turn on the Oprah show hoping to learn about Jesus. Most people have enough intelligence to know that you would most likely learn about God in a church or through some church-related media, not a talk show. It seems to bend toward legalism IF you’re saying that a person who watches the Oprah show cannot be a Christian–though I don’t think that’s what you’re saying.

I can’t remember the last Oprah show I watched. But that doesn’t mean I would never watch her show or some movie or play she produced. I think it’s good to warn people that her spiritual advice is off, wrong and false doctrine, but unless she’s set up a church somewhere, I don’t think she’s on par with a pastor who teaches false doctrine. The pastor would fall more in the category of having a form of godliness and being transformed into an angel of light. Whereas Oprah is just some entertainer. That’s how I see it anyway.

IndependentConservative reply on March 12th, 2008 at 10:06 pm :

Why would someone seeking not listen to Oprah when they see she’s claiming to be talking about Jesus? They could be misled by her very easily, unless God calling them keeps them from her. She names a cult book and it sells. So she’s fooling somebody, she’s fooling a lot of bodies.

Oprah has a larger audience than any “religious” broadcaster, but I’m not seeing TBN as a sound option either. I think given your knowledge of the church you’re making a great number of assumptions about how an unbeliever could fall for much that you’d never embrace yourself.

I never said you’re going to hell if you watch a show with Oprah on it, but I am saying Oprah is working pretty hard to take you to hell with her if she could. And she’d like you to watch enough to carry you into her false gospel.

You’re really missing how Oprah really IS playing the angel of light role and has more audience than even the pimps that claim to be heading a “church”. She’s making it rather clear she wants to draw people away from Christianity, to a relationship with her false jesus.

This woman is more poisonous than you realize.

sbrenea reply on March 13th, 2008 at 12:22 am :

IC, I’ll have to take your word on this Oprah thing. I can’t say I’ve spent any time at all paying attention to her on these points. She seems more of a rock star type idol rather than the pastor-type idol. But both types are distractions from the Truth.

There are plenty of actual pastors who are leading people away from the truth of the gospel and messing up people’s lives with demands for money and unhealthy allegiance. Being a victorious escapee from such a “ministry,” I guess I’m more concerned with people caught up in church cults than I am about someone being duped by Oprah’s latest fad.

As for her large audience, Jesus in Matthew 7:13 talks about that wide gate and broad way and the many that go that way (as Kyle points out below). No surprises there.

To your point, though, Jesus does continue in Mat. 7 with warnings about false teachers, bad fruit and shaky foundations.

  13. KyleAndrews Says:

I think many of us are missing the big picture. We should not be shocked by this. Wide is the path that lead to destruction. The fact is that most are lost. We here represent a small, very small segment of the human race. When you really begin to understand what it means to be the elect of God you really begin to understand just how corrupt mankind is. Oprah is lost-PERIOD She is no different then most of our family members and friends. The only difference is that she is mega rich and a super star. We the elect of the Most High God will never fall for this nonsense. We are saved sanctified and Holy Ghost filled. The world will continue to follow the Pied Pipers into eternal damnation because they do not know the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ- AMEN. If you noticed both the woman who asked the question and Oprah were in agreement. This is not shocking. Neither are the elect of God. Both only sow to their flesh. Praise be to God that our eyes were opened to the truth and that the Lord saved us. Amen and Amen.

    Kyle

IndependentConservative reply on March 11th, 2008 at 7:15 am :

So Kyle, at what point do we begin sounding an alarm of warning, to attempt to snatch souls from the fire, Jude 1:22-23?

Let me cite a few more verses of what I cited above for our sister Sbrenea.

Galatians 1:6-10 (New American Standard Bible)

    6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;

7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

Notice, Paul saw people starting to be taken in by the false doctrines. Sure the Lord’s will not forever remain lost and come to their senses. However, it does not mean we should sit back and assume none of the elect won’t be momentarily negatively influenced. And it does not mean their coming to their senses won’t involve our being moved by the Lord to help them. Look at what the Lord has delivered many of us from while we have been on this conforming journey.

  14. Albertadude Says:

Good Lord…Oprah is truly off the rails!! And to think she was raised in the Baptist Church which sadly didn’t seem to have much effect on her???

And the truly tragic part is how many people she will lead to hell with her…unbelievable!!!

  15. truthintheselastdays Says:

Heaven help me when I see things like this. His blasphemy is nothing new to me [a certain 'there can;t be only one way' video springs to mind]…but did she actually “Master” Eckhart, the New Age guru who spent his life spreading lies about the world in general???? She is off her rocker and down the street on this one?

  16. art123 Says:

Though Oprah is an apostate, I believe that the church she attended took part in that apostasy. Oprah stated that when she heard this charismatic preacher say that God is a jealous God, paraphrasing what she said, she couldn’t believe it. It didn’t sound right to her. God goes through the same emotions as we do for He created us in His image and likeness. Since we fall short, we need to be taught emotional balance and it is only through Him we could do it. The preacher should have elaborated more on it by giving scriptures. This is what happens when you water down the gospel. This is what happens when churches are bought and sold to the devil. You lead many lost souls to destruction. Now they have created another devil who is leading souls astray with this New Age doctrine. Oprah also stated that Jesus did not come to start Christianity. Could she mean: A) He didn’t come to start a religion but a relationship with Him or B)He did not come to build His church because He is not who He said He is. How ironic that Jesus said that the church is within you but her blasphemy is building yourself within and you don’t need Jesus. I wonder if Hebrews 6:4-6 refers to her.

ncatina reply on March 11th, 2008 at 9:35 am :

Art123, to your comments regarding Oprah’s church likely having a hand at the start, when she was in her 20s, sound credible to me. When you hear such scriptures that, on the flesh end, would seem offensive, it does take a skilled biblically based teacher to help the receiver gain the correct context and understanding.

You’re right, this is but a small example of what can potentially happen to millions of people who go to church, have no biblical grounding, and can run astray because of what would seem to be at the time for the receiver of that message, to be a misunderstanding. Mind you, I AM NOT minimizing the damage Oprah is doing at this current time.

IndependentConservative reply on March 11th, 2008 at 11:31 am :

I don’t know what assembly she was at. All I know is that the pastor said God is a jealous God, which is true even if he didn’t note a single verse. She took offense and it will fall on her head.

Without more information I can’t say a single word more about that pastor other than he said some truth and she turned from that truth rather than submitting to the truth given to her.

She was not some new convert. She grew up in a Christian home and that particular church was where she decided to worship in her 20s. So she had an entire history of hearing the truth. Also, since she’s been on the air, she’s had the truth presented to her and she’s rejected it.

godlysoldier reply on March 11th, 2008 at 12:16 pm :

Aman IC. My thoughts exactly. If she questioned God being a jealous God, she could’ve opened up the bible and read it in full content, but I believe a prideful spirit was already at work (to twist it and say “God is jealous of me”)
that’s pride talking, I know, because I was prideful and haughty in my 20’s and actually went on a ten year back-slidden state. The plain fact of the matter is, when you truly receive the truth of God’s word, you must accept it AND LIVE a life of holiness. If one is not ready to do that, then of course one will use the Word to “justify” their flesh rather than allowing the Word to “crucify” their flesh. Just my lil ole opinion from my THEN 20’s perspective.

  17. Yvette Says:

And with that she is leading many to follow the wide path of destruction she has chosen. I just hope she gets saved before it is too late. Then again, she might have already had her last chance before she started evangelizing for Satan.

  18. SteelGator Says:

No wonder she loves the racist, godless, socialist Obama. She is a heathen just like him.

  19. KyleAndrews Says:

    IC,

I never said we ahould sit back nor was I trying to imply such. My thrust is towards anyone being shocked by this. She is no different then the Prosperity Pimps we talk about. Both are false gospels. Look at the similarities between people flocking to Joel Osteen compared with a taping of the Oprah Winfrey show. My point was to show just how evil and rotten mankind is and that the lost will follow her off the cliff. My thrust was not towards the believer in this case.

    Kyle

  20. art123 Says:

IC, let me just say this. Agreed, it is her responsibility to read the word of God for herself. Being that she grew up in the church and heard the truth, that is why I questioned her salvation by referring to Hebrews 6:4-6. Oprah may not be God’s elect, judging her fruits, but God knows best. When you read Jesus parables, the parable of the sower, the ten talents, the wedding feast, it gives you a birds eye view of how the selection of the elect and unelect is played out when it comes to the kingdom of God. I would also like to point out that when you take on a leadership role in the church and especially as a prophet, your message better be clear cut or you are accountable. God has always made that clear in both the Old and New Testament.

  21. daughter Says:

This is what I think about Oprah:

“For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2 Timothy 3:6)

Daytime, humanistic TV creeps into houses and lead silly women captive.

  22. Albertadude Says:

Daughter…that is a real relevate verse for Oprah isn’t it!! Very good!!

Wow..women of all colors fall for her lies..incredible…

Thank goodness the Lord knew about this long before and warned us of such behavior!

  23. art123 Says:

I would like to say that 2thehilt brought out an interesting comment about what folks told him as he was growing up about not worrying about what other folks have this go round because that is all they’ll ever get. They’re already in their salvation. Oprah is hell bound and her riches from Satan is all she will get, granting that’s the way God wants it. That’s the trap that Jesus didn’t fall for when Satan tempted Him with worldly riches and power, but He must bow down to him. Don’t be surprised if she has a room in her mansion with a pinnacle and circle, worshipping the devil. I once saw a show on TV like that. Also I believe that Psalms 37 supports it as well.

    2thehilt reply on March 12th, 2008 at 7:48 am :

Hey Art123, I’m a “her” but thank you for supporting my point. :)

  24. art123 Says:

Oh, and I forget to say that goat’s head along with the pinnacle and circle too. She display characteristics of a goat instead of a sheep anyway.

  25. IndependentConservative Says:

It appears Oprah and Obama share the same “church”.

Oprah and Obama’s Church – the TRUTH

I’ve seen another report (MSM) that mentions it also.

  26. art123 Says:

Obama’s response to his pastor’s remarks about rich white people controlling the system is that he doesn’t agree with everything that was said, yet he looks up to him as an uncle. If Obama agreed with everything said on that tape, he is out of the race. He must do everything the elite or shall I say, illuminati tells him to do. Wake up people and also do some research on who the illuminati is.

IndependentConservative reply on March 14th, 2008 at 10:23 am :

Oprah is not short on cash.

When I lived in the Atlanta area, I saw nothing but Blacks running many areas.

Evil does not isolate its self to a race.

Obama didn’t experience even half of what many Blacks experienced coming up.

Also, Jeremiah Wright spoke of all that “suffering” he claims Obama experienced because HE WAS TRYING TO COMPARE OBAMA TO CHRIST. But that tape does not show all of his speaking on things there and his continual line of sermons on the matter.

But here’s more from that nut job. It’s all emotional race bait and Liberation Theology heresy. Not honestly scripture rooted preaching on Christ and the fruit from members of his assembly proves it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk3LXvVlsI4

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enMWfQl_Qeg

Is that what should come from a PULPIT given 1 Timothy 2:1-4? I don’t think so at all.

It’s all emotional laced social harping to play on emotions. Rather than telling disadvantaged people to focus on Christ, he’s playing up animosity, that is ungodly and he’s playing it up for his pro-abortion buddy.

IndependentConservative reply on March 14th, 2008 at 10:30 am :

Here’s more of what Jeremiah A. Wright is up to.

He’s not leading people to true peace in Christ, but playing up anger and putting hope in social change. This is similar to the games played by Pat Robertson and once upon a time Jerry Falwell. All preaching more politics than Christ and playing into all the games that come with it.

  27. IndependentConservative Says:

2007 Profile: Wright provides “spiritual guidance” for Obama, Oprah

SteelGator reply on March 14th, 2008 at 1:26 pm :

I have been gone for a few days and I was wondering when you were going to get on this topic. I find it amazing that the liberal media is even covering this. I am sure they got a little poking and prodding by the Hilldabeast campaign.

Did you hear the despicable names that Wright called Clarence Thomas and Condi Rice? Can you imagine if McCain was getting “spiritual advise” from David Duke? What would Obama and the liberal media be saying about McCain?

Just a side note…McCain said Rod Parsley, pulpit pimp from Ohio, was acting as his “spiritual advisor”. Aside from the fact that McCain should RUN…not walk away from Parsley. The liberal media has said McCain should disassociate from the shady Parsley. However, it is perfectly alright for Obama to stay connected at the hip to the Rev. Wright.

Double standards never cease to amaze me.

    P.S….Oprah is the devil….just kidding.

    art123 reply on March 14th, 2008 at 1:54 pm :

I have a question. If Wright is playing up anger, how is that benefitting Obama’s campaign. Clintons campaign supporter Geraldine Ferraro as it was reported made racist remarks as so did her husband and former president, how is it benefitting her campaign? She immediately apologized to the black leaders. Whether it is a political game or not, both candidates are not favorable and it is a great possibility they have picked their president before election day.

IndependentConservative reply on March 14th, 2008 at 2:03 pm :

Both sides are using it to thrive off hate with those gullible enough to fall for it.

Geraldine Ferraro claims Obama would not be where he is if he was not Black. A better question I heard someone ask is, if he was White is it possible he’d already have the nomination locked up ;) ?

You’ll never hear the candidate themselves tossing much race bait, but they do it via their various surrogates.

IndependentConservative reply on March 14th, 2008 at 2:09 pm :

On the Hillary side we know plenty foul comes from her mouth when the cameras are off.

And with PA primaries next up, nobody is saying much about the race bait the PA Governor tossed out a while back: Clinton ally: Some whites ‘not ready’ for Obama

    They’re all fueling hatred and anti-Christ agendas. That’s politics :) .

SteelGator reply on March 14th, 2008 at 2:39 pm :

    IC said…
Geraldine Ferraro claims Obama would not be where he is if he was not Black. A better question I heard someone ask is, if he was White is it possible he’d already have the nomination locked up ?

Good point. However, if he were white, he would be getting the political anal exam that all presidential candidates get. Somehow, Obama has been immune from this. I think this is because ALL the liberals in the media are afraid to ask tough questions about a “black” man. They are afraid if they give Obama a hard time, they will be called racist. Obama has been given a pass and he will continue to do so.

I have a comment and question about 1 Tim 2:1-4. Jesus spoke out against the Roman government and made it known that He is the way. How was this minister violating scripture by speaking out against the American government and its mistreatment of the unfortunate?

    SG,

They were not so afraid of Shirley Chisholm, Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton during their runs. So I can’t say it’s racial apprehension. And they asked Michael Steele plenty of questions in MD. They DID ask Obama a lot of questions in IL back when he ran for the US Senate. Remember, a Republican candidate helped Obama win via his own sins, Ryan drops out of Senate race in Illinois – Campaign hurt by sex club allegations. Really it’s more that they want someone to “save” them and the new guy has less dirt than some others who have been around longer. His horrible plans don’t matter, just what they’d hope he will be, their savior.

You know Mitt Romney was a lame flip flopper, but Republicans played that lame duck up just the same. And although he lost in the primaries he did get some votes all based on TALK, not because of his record. McLame was the Republican whipping boy till he started winning some states and well… My point is that they like Obama win votes off the gift of gab, period.

art123, you’ve answered your own question. Jesus is the way, while Jeremiah Wright ministers about godverment. Wright’s whole agenda has been that Obama is a form of Christ and should be voted for, while he claims other candidates are evil.

I see plenty in scripture of Jesus Christ speaking against the Pharisees and others who claimed to follow God abusing the poor, but perhaps you can help me with scriptures where Jesus spoke about the Roman government and their treatment of the poor?

IndependentConservative reply on March 14th, 2008 at 4:23 pm :

Also, Jeremiah Wright is talking less about poor and unfortunate saints in need and more about BLACK. Obama is doing fairly well for himself, but Jeremiah Wright is harping about somebody called him a name  . I’m sorry, but somebody being called a name does not make them any better than the next candidate AND Jeremiah Wright KNOWS he’s endorsing candidates that endorse murder of babies in the womb and to top all that off, what’s a pastor who should be about God’s business doing getting his hands into telling people who to vote for? The Lord’s kingdom is not of this world and regardless of whoever controls whatever in this world, Jeremiah Wright can’t change it one bit. Those who have power were allowed such power by God in the fulfillment of the plan that features the Anti-Christ.

Jeremiah Wright is backing a CFR candidate in a field were all the major candidates are CFR members. Using the one hook he knows the crowd will jump on, RACE.

And you do know, those conspiracy theories of groups like the CFR running things feature them ALSO ruling things such as the “Black Liberation” and “Women’s Liberation” movements.

Now apart from what can’t be proven easily, we do know for a fact, that if you look at both today’s political far Left and far Right causes, both sides are heavily funded by CFR members.

I’m sorry, but I just don’t see evidence of the Apostles of the Lord Jesus having marches against slavery, racism, sexism, not even abortion. They preached the Word and told saints how to live. From there, saints had to decide how to apply it if they became involved in politics and the early church really avoided government/political involvement more than we do today.

So I’m not seeing the actions of the church in scripture mirroring the agenda of Jeremiah Wright, but I do know that Wright clings to Liberation Theology and it is heresy. The practitioners of that heresy always seem to bear out why it’s bad in their own fruit.

  28. art123 Says:

Actually, I was referring mostly about the Pharisees because they were set up by the Roman government anyway. However in Luke 13:31-35, Jesus called the Roman ruler Herod a fox. Let me just acknowledge that He also said to render those that are Caesars and those of God. Ironically, Jesus was accused of treason by false witnesses before His death in Mark 14 & 15. Therefore, my statement should have been clearer.

    art123 reply on March 14th, 2008 at 4:11 pm :

I would also agree that Obama’s pastor Wright didn’t and shouldn’t compare him to Jesus because He is in a class by Himself and our Creator.

    art123 reply on March 14th, 2008 at 6:01 pm :

I have never stated that Jesus nor his apostles spoke out against slavery, racism, sexism or even abortion and agreed He never participated in political issues that churches do today, but it is evident that He wasn’t too friendly with the Roman powers that be. However in the Book of Revelations, understanding that He died and has already ascended to be with His Father, He spoke and revealed things to John about the injustices of this worldly system and it does include politics, the mistreatment of His saints and how they will be judged for it. As God, He was and still is fully aware of all issues at hand when He came in the flesh, but it wasn’t time to set up His Kingdom as the Jews thought. How about Revelations 13 which talk about the dragon, beast, and the false prophet and Revelations 18, both if which talk about this worldly, Anti-Christ system.

IndependentConservative reply on March 14th, 2008 at 9:44 pm :

art123, the Pharisees claimed to be followers of God, unlike the Romans. I think Christ calling Herod a fox might have had something to do with Herod’s efforts to have him killed, Luke 13:31-32. Unbelievers act like unbelievers, Christ from what I’ve seen in scripture never admonished people who never claimed to follow God about much of anything, knowing they were condemned and never claimed a desire to please God.

…the mistreatment of His saints and how they will be judged for it.

So why is Jeremiah Wright talking about people who are not saints and teaming up with Farra-the-Con in the name of Blackness? Because he’s a Black cultist, that’s why.

Why won’t Obama denounce Jeremiah Wright outright and is just talking about certain “statements”? Because Obama defends the cultist and probably embraces it, that’s why. Obama has been with Jeremiah Wright 20 years.

You’ve made a good foundation for issues with the world’s political systems. So why is Jeremiah Wright trying to encourage people to back one if it’s new biggest players? It’s simply him playing on emotions to put another globalist who embraces abomination into power.

This is why I say Jeremiah Wright should not be saying these things from a pulpit.

    art123 reply on March 14th, 2008 at 10:57 pm :

There may be ungodly agendas behind all that is involved for politics can be dirty but what I am trying to understand is does rich white people, as Wright calls them feel ok with him calling them the oppressors and does those same rich white people feel ok with Farrakhan calling them devils. If Obama is selected for the presidency on election day and become inaugurated in 2009, he would have to take orders from those same rich white people that both Farrakhan and Wright spoke against. Since the blog is about Oprah, her money and power speaks for her and she’s keeping her mouth shut.

IndependentConservative reply on March 14th, 2008 at 11:30 pm :

Art123, you are way too focused on race.

Much of Wright’s bunch are wealthy and powerful Black people. They are running much and doing much of the bad and the bad in many communities is because of their misguided policies that they put together themselves and encouraged areas to embrace.

Why isn’t Wright talking about the fact Blacks are the ones killing each other tonight in the streets, not Whites? Why isn’t Wright talking about Black teenage girls having a near 50% STD rate? No evil White man is going around giving them STDs. The worst enemy Blacks have are the mistakes they make themselves and other Blacks doing them harm. If I was shot dead in the street tonight, odds are, it would NOT be at the hand of some bad cop, it would NOT be at the hand of a racist White, but very likely at the hand of another Black man.

So who’s really the devil here? Who is really holding Black people back? As the saying goes, we have identified the enemy and HE IS US.

Bernard Goldberg Tells Blacks What the Problem is and Who IS NOT Going to Fix it!

How Not To Be Poor by Walter Williams

The numbers prove why overall Blacks are having problems TODAY and the race bait is coming up lame. Lamer than ever before.

Maybe my situation is the odd one, but with Blacks I grew up with, the ones with problems were the ones everybody saw not doing what they should have been doing very early in life.

Wright and Farrakhan are men playing masses on race, because they don’t have Christ in truth. They give the disgruntled a good cheering moment by playing off their pain and/or anger about some incident and at the end you won’t find much Jesus. Just a lot of social harping. They won’t tell someone to cast their cares on Christ, but would rather play up pain. I look at 1 Peter 2 and I don’t see them there.

  29. art123 Says:

Yes, the black man and the woman can be their own worse enemies, but don’t count the white man out neither because he is not exempt from being the world’s troublemaker neither. The reason race was a focus because you have made Wright a focus and issue, therefore I commented.

IndependentConservative reply on March 15th, 2008 at 12:08 am :

I made Wright a focus issue because his focus on race is highly misguided. Again, I look at 1 Peter 2 and I’m not finding his sermon material there.

The devil is the devil and evil is not bound to a race, so the claims of Wright and Farrakhan fall on deaf ears with me. Because neither man holds to Christ in truth, but they can leave you deluded in a racial cult. And in social terms How Not To Be Poor has been working with people of all races and the facts bear it out.

The people who come away from Write and Farrakhan’s teachings are showing they are as devoid of Christ as the men teaching them.

Luke 6:39-40 (New American Standard Bible)

39 And He also spoke a parable to them: “A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit?

40 “A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.

People like Oprah and Obama who have Wright as their teacher, are not some folks trying to fight against evil, they are the evil. They are not under the control of some other group, they are happy members of it. Deluded and highly in need of repentance.

The problem is sin, not race. The answer is Jesus, not calling some group of people “the devil”. Nobody is righteous, NOT ONE, Romans 3 and Romans 4 and Christ is the only hope anyone has, period.

  30. art123 Says:

Just say that you don’t like Farrakhan and Wright because maybe they’re too militant for you, but understanding that Christ wasn’t in the message. The author of How Not To Be Poor didn’t exactly expound on any scriptures either. $21,000 for 1978 would not work in 2008 unless you can say may God help me. There were other issues in that article I didn’t agree with, but I will not discuss. Christ said with man it is impossible but with Him all things are possible. The government is purposely jacking oil prices and other prices up as well. Bush supports the Federal Reserve and he said it to Americans face yesterday at the New York conference on TV. He also speaks of giving out rebate checks but is that going to be enough to erase people’s bad credit in this recession time because of job loss? A piece of bread is not going to help when you need the whole loaf and I don’t mean greed. A bank called Bear Stearns is in financial trouble and guess who’s going to bail them out. The Federal Reserve. Who has a lot to gain in this recession. The corporations, banks, and the elite. That’s your three governments right there and they don’t give two wooden nickels about peon Americans like us. Oprah doesn’t have to worry about money for the rest of her life unless something really unfortunate happens.

Just say that you don’t like Farrakhan and Wright because maybe they’re too militant for you, but understanding that Christ wasn’t in the message.

I agree with what you said. Now how can you justify liking them with scripture?

The author of How Not To Be Poor didn’t exactly expound on any scriptures either. $21,000 for 1978 would not work in 2008 unless you can say may God help me.

Not a one, but as I mentioned, in secular terms he offers something that is supported by every stat known to man. It’s not $21K from 1978 that works today, but the exact same principles are working today for people that exercise them and those not doing well often have not.

I cite Philippians 4:8 as justification for giving Walter Williams a moments notice. But vengeful militancy expressed by Farrakhan and Wright, I know plenty of scriptures speaking against their efforts regarding government AND their efforts to focus on “Black”.

Christ said with man it is impossible but with Him all things are possible.

Agreed. He also said be good stewards and do many of the things we see in Walter Williams’ write-up. Can you tell me something in Walter Williams’ write-up that goes AGAINST commands for saints in how to conduct their family and finances?

Most everything I see produced by Farrakhan and Wright goes right against commands of Christ.

Economic concerns and how government handles them have been the subject of a couple of posts here already and will likely be a topic of future posts.

This thread is about Oprah and by association her false teaching pastor. You were the first to note that possibly she was sitting under false teaching. I stated then I would not say another word till I had more information. I seem to have more now, but you don’t seem to be in agreement with me.

  31. art123 Says:

Another comment to add is the government is getting their jollies off seeing black on black crime and millions of black babies being aborted because to them, that is just one less (N-word) to feed. Think genocide.

IndependentConservative reply on March 15th, 2008 at 1:43 pm :

Can you confirm that? Please cite your source.

It’s not government doing the killing, how about keeping focus on who is causing their own problem for themselves for a change?

  32. IndependentConservative Says:

Art123, is Louis Farrakhan a racist and are his teachings racist?

  33. art123 Says:

The government has been trouble for us since we set foot on American soil in shackles to the point that we started hating ourselves and took it out on each other. However, this is what we get when we turn away from our God and He always sends a devil in His place to teach us a lesson and return to Him. Again, concerning Farrakhan and Wright, though their message was not Christ centered and it should be, they told the truth about the American system. Christ was a militant speaker, not that cotton candy preacher that the world lies about, concerning Him. Read the gospels again and you will see. Christ’s life was always on the line because He told the truth and they couldn’t handle it. The difference between Christ, Farrakhan and Wright is He is the way to salvation, and yes He is about His Father’s business. Farrakhan and Wright just need to talk more about the Lord as agreed, unless they are bought and sold by the devil too.

IndependentConservative reply on March 15th, 2008 at 3:40 pm :

The government has been trouble for us since we set foot on American soil in shackles to the point that we started hating ourselves and took it out on each other.

I did not come here in shackles and neither did you. Those who did and those who did it are long dead. You have no excuse. Africans are moving here on their own accord now and doing better once they get here than people that claim to be “African Americans”.

Again, concerning Farrakhan and Wright, though their message was not Christ centered and it should be, they told the truth about the American system. Christ was a militant speaker, not that cotton candy preacher that the world lies about, concerning Him.

Lady, your statements are getting a bit ill. To try and even remotely connect Farrakhan and Wright with Christ in the same statement IS LUNACY.

Farrakhan and Wright just need to talk more about the Lord as agreed, unless they are bought and sold by the devil too.

Unless? Wright claims to be a minister of Christ’s gospel and teaches falsely. Farrakhan is the head of a racist cult and you say “unless they are bought and sold by the devil too”. They are Satan’s children with every word they speak! Their fruit makes this known beyond all doubt. This is why they are able to spend time together.

Wright even tagged along when Farrakhan visited Libya’s dictator Moammar Khadafy — a terrorist financier directly linked to the murder of Americans — for a chitchat in 1980s.

And this is what I find when I read the scriptures.

Amos 3:3 (New American Standard Bible)

3 Do two men walk together unless they have made an appointment?

They are of the same evil. An evil NO SAINT should provide cover for.

They speak hate, not truth. So you don’t feel Farrakhan is a racist obviously.

You are defending evil. You are allowing the delusion of racial hatred to influence you, whether you recognize it or not.

I didn’t want to do this, given you have been around this blog for a while, but I’d be a bigger hypocrite if I didn’t ban you now. Because honestly, any White person who even said what you said earlier would have been banned on the spot. Especially questioning if MY WIFE is a White woman, as if that would be a bad thing if she was. Not to mention what you’ve been saying here in this thread. If a White person was doing it, defending White racists, they would have been gone earlier. So to end my own hypocrisy, in being partial towards you, by allowing you to continue to speak this long, when I would have already banned others, I have to ban you and do it right now.

I really wish you the best in your endeavours regarding your personal life. Some of which has been discussed here in comments at times, however I can’t keep you with access to this place until you’re able to rid yourself of the same hatred I don’t allow people of other races to promote here.

Titus 3:9-11 (New American Standard Bible)

9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

10 Reject a factious man after a first and second warning,

11 knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.

I believe you have a desire to follow the Lord in truth and I above all in your regard pray He helps you beyond these current issues you’ve been exhibiting. People like Jeremiah Wrong and Louis Farra-the-Con are chief revilers and if 1 Corinthians 5 recommends removing a reviler from church fellowship. While my blog is no church and I’m no pastor, I certainly don’t find anything good in keeping someone here who defends and speaks such hatred (or even defends speakers of such hatred) in a venue I have responsibility over.
