The video speaks for its self. Dr. James White is cross examining Mormon Gilbert Scharffs on their cult doctrine in light of the truth in the Bible.
Christian / Mormon Debate
John 1:17 (New American Standard Bible)
17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
The Mormon cult is stuck in it’s own contrived system of laws.
Romans 3:21-28 (New American Standard Bible)
21 But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
26 for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
27 Where then is boasting? It is excluded By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
No man can work his way to the gift of God. It only comes as He draws to His Son by grace and achieved through faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.
(No comments promoting the cult of Joseph Smith Junior will be posted, 2 John 1:10-11.)
IC, maybe it’s my feeble mind, but I somehow can’t nudge the feeling that the cult of Mr. Smith, Jr. is a case study in classic Arminian thought - “I do a lot of things, God nudges me up once or twice, but basically it’s me, me and little mo’ me”…then again, maybe it’s my juvenile mind doing overtime
Scarffs make a lot of comments about people being redeemed & coming to Christ. Well something tells me isn’t referring to the Christ of the Holy Scriptures, the Alpha & Omega, He who was crucified, died, was buried & rose from the dead on the Third Day. He’s gotta be referring to the “Christ” of Mormonism. Even my “cousin” Kit, an 8 year-old boy from the farm, knows that the “Christ” of Mormonism is a demonic counterfeit. His mother, my “Aunt” Audrey, who is a homeschool mom & a farmer’s wife, must have taught him & his brothers the Scriptures thuroughly.
Scarffs certainly is talking about the counterfeit. People act like you can make up your own “jesus”, then attempt to retrofit him into scripture like he’s the same as the Jesus of scripture. God the Father will not allow His Son to be mocked!
Here’s the Mormon cult verse that claims with their false god you have to work your way to as perfect a human can be and then be granted grace to complete being perfected.

Moroni 10:32
It would be impossible for anyone to be saved if that were true.
The Mormon cult totally destroys the truth of salvation in Christ and denies the truth of grace.

I love his favorite answer, “I don’t know”.
