Tragedy of 10-year-old mom
|
I mean, how come the child getting pregnant was suddenly enough for people who knew to speak up? Unless they did not hear till later, that this had been going on. It’s a shame anyone let it go beyond another day the moment they heard. It seems the mother might have had a clue what was going on, or at least is being investigated for possibly having knowledge. Having a guy over when told not to have anyone over and the guy is the abuser.
This sick reprobate activity is not condoned by the laws of man. If you know a child is being abused, say something to authorities.
And yes, this makes me once again start thinking about the death penalty for child molesters. That notion I’m a razor thin thought away from being OK with at this point! If the repenting thief on the cross in Luke 23:41 knew he deserved the condemnation he received from government for his being a thief. What’s wrong with government killing a child molester like a rabid dog? At this point, I’ve got little holding me back from hoping government burns child molesters at a stake.

The poor, poor young girl! How unspeakably sad. The man is a predator (to be honest, that word is a censored version of what I think of him).
I hope the girl is getting the help and counselling that she needs. Why couldn’t the mother put aside her desire (it is not a NEED) for male company FOR HER OWN DAUGHTER’S SAKE?!!!
This case is wrong on so many levels.

Women need to focus on rearing their children instead of shacking up with some sicko all the time. The mother knows something was up with her child.Uhmmm…She is not that dumb.I have three children and was so “over protective” of my daughters and one son.Raise your kids and leave those men alone!

It’s something that will be apart of her, her whole life. I was sexual molested at the age of 13yrs old, by a so called man of gawd “Pastor Cromwell” I’ll never forget it. I just recently got heal and am in my late 30’s. It was a very very very very very long process. It’s something ONLY GOD can mend!
Everytime I hear of this happening my heart cry’s out, heck I cry. Not for me but what I know those girls/boy’s will endure in the years to come. They can be restored it’s just going to require alot of work.
This article is of a Baltimore minister and his perverted actions.

This stuff is so sick, it’s hard to form words for it. It’s also hard to avoid being consumed by anger. Thank God for grace in Christ Jesus.
Timothy D. Price III, so-called “minister of music”. Which apostle spoke about the “ministers of music”? I know there is biblical record of “musicians”, but “minister of music”???…
Anyway, I was just speaking with my aunt who lives in Baltimore about Timothy D. Price III just yesterday. If you know Baltimore, you know much bad takes place at Druid Hill Park. And there was Mister “minister of music” there too!
Scripture always seems to imply people in local church offices are from the local area. Not that an elder (Frank M. Reid III is a pulpit pimp by the way) can’t call in someone from another area, but scripture shows the regular local church workers as being LOCAL PEOPLE. I say this, because with LOCAL PEOPLE you can have the LOCAL PEOPLE YOU KNOW affirm their history. Which is better than just checking “references”, which are usually a list of people THEY PROVIDE YOU. If Timothy D. Price III has a history of these things, no wonder he moved from Houston to Baltimore!
The world of superstar mega-clubs, where they have to make a good show to get a job in the church, seems to allow a predator safer haven.
Chatjd reply on February 12th, 2008 at 11:59 pm :
I think the mother needs to be put in prison herself for allowing this monster anywhere near her child. She’s an adult and in this case is responsible for bringing that man into her house. I wish these women would understand that they have a responsibility to their children first, not to their own selfish desires. And, I really would dread meeting our Maker if I were in her shoes as you can bet she will be held accountable by Him for what she allowed to happen to one the treasures He sent to her.
[Alady1969, I'm praying for you and pray that God continues to heal you and restore you, that He will give you His peace].
And the reputation issue is one of the problems I have seen with the modern church, one that causes so many stories like what happened with alady1969.
The churches constantly chase the ‘big names’ or people from other churches instead of raising from within. How can you really know a ‘minister’ or other leader unless you see what they are over a long period of time? How can you know how they manage their family, whether they are self-controlled, above reproach, respectable, hospitable…[1 Timothy 3], unless this person spends enough time with the congregation for this to be seen? It is not possible to get the truth of a person’s character over a phone or from a reference or two, especially in this day-and-age of litigation over such things.
I was a member of a church where we had a good pastor who moved on to greener pastures and the denomination brought in a pastor from elsewhere, instead of raising up the assistant pastor who had the necessary Biblical qualifications to be the pastor.
Unfortunately, this new pastor turned out to have a long history as a gambler and the denomination didn’t tell the church even though it was the reason he was ‘forced’ to leave his few prior churches…I’m sure you can guess what happened next… Besides for the financial damage this pastor did, he also had a different ‘vision’ for the church and a different belief system. By the time it was all said and done, the church ended up nearly closing and still to this day has not regained the special ministry it once had.

That is exactly what I was trying to say. You’ve said it better. I feel scripture DEMANDS that we know these people as long term members of the local church and local community. Having a good reputation within the church requires they be known within the church for some time. Proving they could head a household, with children that are believers as noted in Titus 1:5-16. Proving over time they could teach and all other qualifications noted in scripture. Having a good reputation with “those outside the church” requires they lived in the local community for some time.

My heart definitely goes out to this girl, as one that was sexually molested by numerous people during the course of my childhood. It’s clearly apparent that such abuse in the church is not exclusive to the catholic system.
As for this “person” that committed this crime, my thing is to grab a set of shears and be done with it. I am glad that laws are in place in OH that call for life imprisonment for such dastardly activity.
What I also learned is that, ironically, prisoners themselves are not too fond of child molestors either, particularly if the activity resulted in pregnancy. We can always ask this person in the attached articles below (former choir director) what his experiences have been since being sentenced for similiar crimes here in PHL in 2K6. (I had contact with him once in 2K4 as the choir director for the kickoff celebration for the Fourth of July festivities here in the city).

As you will find, he is not originally from this area. He was asked for references by Bright Hope BC (former Congressman William H. Gray’s ministry) and submitted them, but found out after the fact that he was booted out of another local ministry prior to for allegedly getting someone pregnant there.
Needless to say, this person has likely been snapped in two already.

alady1969…I rejoice with you sister. God is so good. I can only say amen, because I know the healing of which you speak. We serve a GREAT God. Nothing is too hard for Him. He most certainly is a healer.

Chatjd & IC, you both make excellent points reagrding the issue of filling church positions with “outsiders.” As what the current story and my posting from yesterday indicate, the behaviors demonstrate a gross need to get the know the people “who labor among you.” The hole in this method, sadly, is even if you raise someone from the ranks in the church where the person may have a degree of tenure, the “local” person is not always guaranteed.
From what I have experienced in the last two ministries I have been a part of, there seems to be a sore lacking of real personal interaction needed to properly judge people’s character. Most large churches I see schedule multiple services on Sundays and mid-week. Because of all of the peripheral activity that goes on before, during and after service that does not allow for quality interaction (setting up, selling materials, parking cars, etc.), it lends itself to a potential failure and disaster when appointing people to positions within the church. Much of what goes on is superficial in nature, with precious few people interacting with each other outside of the church during the course of the week. Though a side-bar, this lends itself to greater isolation for the individual congregants among established cliques in the church. Nonetheless, minimal interaction with people can allow for them to be involved in shady activity while already being part of the “local body.” This included seeing one of my former choir directors, who was part of the church for SEVEN YEARS, booted from the ministry for stealing money destined for the church.
Too many churches are interested in just building their numbers, thus making to know the INDIVIDUALS that come into the church a secondary priority, if one at all.
