The Motto of False Prophets, Stop Thinking, Start Feeling!

by @ 1:23 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

This video that is true regarding Mormonism is true with most every modern day cult. Somebody tosses themselves into the closed Office of Apostle or Prophet and tells you to start listening to them for the voice of God. They ask that you listen to them and read their works. Acting like you’ll get more if you hear their voice instead of sticking with true scripture, the Bible alone.

Mormonism versus The Parable of the Bride Groom

They come with different names and scams, but they all need you to do one thing to hook you in. Listen to them instead of the Bible.

2 Peter 1:16-21 (New American Standard Bible)

16 For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

17 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”–

18 and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

19 So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,

21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

(No comments promoting the cult of Joseph Smith Junior will be posted, 2 John 1:10-11.)

Mitt is out of the race so what will they do now?

Oh, they will ride around on bikes wearing white shirts, blue pants and big nametags. They will then try to convince you that their false teachings are really the truth.

Yea over the next 4 years I suspect they’ll step up their cult efforts and try Romney again in 2012.

Their false prophet proclaimed it, so they will keep trying. And if a Mormon ever does win, then they’ll say “see prophesy fulfill”, because like all who follow false prophets and false apostles, they are not keeping to the Word of God and they ignore that Joseph Smith Junior was not 100% in his “prophetic” claims AND his claims went directly against scripture in many cases.

So now the Republicans will have John McCain. We’ve got to keep praying, because no matter who wins they’ll need it.

Jesus’ resurrection, the foundational event of the Christian faith, was seen by many eyewitnesses. Because of that, we have solid assurance that what we believe is not just a “feeling” of being true. It is a “religious truth” that is also an historical truth. It has more confirmation than any other ancient truth.

On the other hand, the Mormon’s foundational event is the vision of Joseph Smith when he was 15 years old. Since there are no independent witnesses of it as with Jesus, the best it could ever be considered is a myth. This is exactly what Paul said people would turn to who would not endure sound doctrine.

Thanks be to God Who “furnished proof to all men” of Jesus’ resurrection so that they do not have to rely on “religious feelings” for their faith and for their hope.

This is the problem with cults: they teach you WHAT to think instead of HOW to think.
