GIZELLE BRYANT VS. JAMAL H. BRYANT: Popular pastor and wife in divorce drama.

“This is a private matter between Dr. Bryant and his wife, and we’d like to keep this matter private,” attorney Jimmy A. Bell told the paper.
The copious blog and chat entries on the troubled marriage suggest this may be a personal matter, but it is far from private. Scandalous rumors of alleged affairs with several women have been rampant since the couple’s engagement. His supposed womanizing went overboard when he impregnated a church member said to be 17 at the time of the time of copulation. When accusations of this affair surfaced in the Summer of 2007, church leaders asked him to step down while they initiated an investigation and awaited paternity test results. Months after the investigation, Jamal Bryant remains the pastor of Empowerment Temple.
Court records acquired from the Circuit Court of Maryland do indicate the pastor is the father of a least one other child who was born before he got married. The couple has a set of 1-year-old twins and a 3-year-old.

Is the 17 year old with child “alleged” or has it been “confirmed” that he is the father if the child has been born yet?

Unless he fathered a child with a 17 year old girl while still in high school (oh wait he dropped out), he should have beeen charged with having sex with a minor.
If this happen while he was pastor, then the church leaders shouldnt have ASKED him to step down, they should have ENFORCED IT!
These pulpit pimps are allowed to continue in all kinds of behavior because of the WEAK leaders around them who dont have the guts to confront or question the man of gawd.
It looks like the only person willing to stand up to Jamal is Gizzelle

Mishandling of how church leadership should be carried out is why this may never be addressed properly.
As it stands, the AME church should tell JHB to leave all leadership duties. But they know if they told him to do that permanently, he’d break his club from their organization and they would not see any more of that MONEY he pays to the AME from the dollars he fleeces from his deluded followers.
Basically, the whole AME structure is a faux Roman Catholic model and just about as flawed. JHB should not be a man running a club as his own pseudo-dictator with only people around him who are yes-men and not really of equal weight with him. A local church is to have a group of elders, all of equal footing. So if the speaking elder needs to be removed, the other elders can rebuke him and place one of the other elders in the role of speaking elder. But this is not how things are done in the AME or many other church organizations. So you have a pack of little dictators running around doing whatever they want, with weak boards in their club that don’t hold firm oversight. When they mess up, the weak board within their club won’t do much and the outside faux Roman Catholic styled leadership of their organization does not really have enough power to enforce correction.
Given the structure that needs adjustment given the local church should be organized to properly rule its self, minus faux Roman Catholic styled facets, the best thing the AME organization could do now is fully disassociate from JHB. But then they’d have to stand firm on the Word of God instead of wondering how much money they might lose.
And regardless of what happens within the organization, individuals need to be reading their Bibles enough to know things are out of order. If the people in the pews were reading their Bibles enough, JHB would be gone by virtue of nobody wanting to sit under him.

It has been said the young lady was not 17, more like early 20’s. Nevertheless he should have been TOLD to set down, not asked. I know a sister that attends who has been recruited to the MIT(Minister In Training)Program. I’ll just say it like this, if he’s the so call father of the church, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. In other words her lifestyle reflects the world just has his and nothing pretaining to Christ. Just a cycle of distruction!

If the foundation is rotten to the core with flawed and unblibical doctrine, the building will eventually collaspe from the weight of Jamal’s unsound teachings.So, I am elated that this pimp’s chickens have finally come home to roost. BTW, I am not trying to gloat over his misfortune(he caused this misfortune), but he should have been kicked out a long time a go spreading the false gospel of confusion and lies.It’s about time his skeletons came running out of the closet!

Unfortunately,unsound doctrine doesn’t collapse anything in these circles. Shoot, he’ll probably grow the church (even if he has to impregnate every female member personally to do it.)
