While some saints see Israel as some neat vacation spot, or a place to simply send money, food or arms. Others are doing a greater work for Israel, in spreading the Gospel message there. And they face persecution, because they live godly in Christ.

May the Lord’s will be done and please seek to help efforts that do more than meet Israel’s material needs. There is a greater spiritual need and we saints should not shy from that responsibility the Lord has given us to minister the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to Israel. We should also consider the needs of our fellow saints there, who are standing firm and holding to Christ while being persecuted.

At best Christianity in Israel is mearly tolerated because it brings in $$$ from tourism. It really disturbes me when we see organizations like “The international fellowship of christians and Jews” doing things like “Helping Jewish poor in the former Soviet Union”, or “Helping Jews immigrate to Israel” and “Mobilizing Christian support for Israel.” Now all of these works maybe commendable to a point. But how about doing what our savior commanded us to do. Giving these poor people the gospel. (Matt 28:19)

Brother, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein’s bunch (The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews) is not going to do a thing regarding ministry. It’s run by Eckstein, who gets on TBN and TBN allows him time. You’d think he was a Christian the way he speaks, but he denies the Lordship of Christ. He’s a Jewish Rabbi that does not mind collecting money from Christians. So no way he’s going to actually spread the true gospel message. He, like his pal Steve Munsey lies and tells saints they’ll be so "blessed by Gawd" if they give a Jewish person a hot meal and neglect sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s nothing but the prosperity doctrine with a different spin. Eckstein, with his smooth presentation acts like giving a Jew a hot meal is to spread the message of Christ, but Jesus didn’t die on a cross for the sake of a soup line! Just like the Lord Jesus told the devil:

Eckstein and his pimp friends forsake what is best. They forsake embracing Christ in truth and sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with those hungry Jews. They fill bellies and leave souls empty. Because they are empty themselves. Perhaps the Lord will have mercy on them and have them repent.

Yes, I did assume that he was a christian. I never thought Jews would want to associate themselves with gentiles. I need to read up on this guy.

Hey, he had me well fooled for a long while too. Till I did some research on the bunch.
Now the only thing I’ve wondered is how to approach if I post about it. This guy is NOT claiming to be a Christian. He’s a bit crafty, but it was not hard to discover what is going on. The TV shows I find to be a bit deceptive, I mean looking at him giving his pitch on TBN you’d assume he’s Christian or claiming to be one. Still he’s fleecing the saints and mishandling the Lord’s name in order to do it. It’s not like this particular “fleece” is one were so much money is outright abused, he does feed hungry people with it, but it’s more a deception on a spiritual level.

Watched the whole thing and (sigh) now I’m depressed. I associate with several Orthodox Jews in my line of work and I love the heck out of ‘em but I gotta I tell ya’, sometimes the only thing that separates the Jews between here and the one ones in the video is an ocean. At 9:39 the disclaimer reads that the Jews depicted here are from the Hassidei Gur sect. Can you say cult? And no, I’m not an anti-Semite, just one speaking from a cult background. Their group mindset, the antagonism and the spiritual arrogance is the same as mine when I was in the International Churches of Christ (Boston Movement). It’s a variation on this theme: action without understanding is fanaticism. Slowly but surely I’ve been trying to introduce the Gospel to some of my assoicates via current events, but the indoctrination doesn’t allow them to see the BIG PICTURE. They only see current events through the prism of "Jewish persecution" and not the end times speeding up on them fast. And you can’t blame them…somewhat. The Orthodox guy who says that it was Christians who killed six million Jews is only parroting what he’s been taught from birth. That’s right, BIRTH. There are however, Jewish friends of mine who don’t believe that it was Christians who killed six million Jews, but then again, it doesn’t look like they’ll believe and accept Christ either. Yet.
Having said all that, what’s the solution? Prayer. It dawned on me today that after sharing some current events with my friend, I realized I hadn’t been praying for him. Folks, we are at DEFCON2, with just a DEFCON 1 co-ordinated password confirmation to go before simultaneous key unlock and launch. Pray as you drive, pray as you work. God just answered a prayer that my wife and I had prayed about a few weeks ago. Suffice it to say that God’s timing was PERFECT. I mean PERFECT. Now only was it what we wanted, but we needed. So pray folks, please. Pray for your brethren in Israel who have been "counted worthy to suffer shame for His name" (Acts 5:41) and pray for the Jewish people that you see in the video, so that they may come to a saving knowledge of Christ.
On a humorous note, if any of you get a chance to visit New York City, take a subway ride over to Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Take the "J", "M" or "Z" train to Marcy Avenue and just look around. The only difference? Israel’s cleaner. C’mon! This is New York! We love dirt!

IC, I have a question. When Jesus told apostle John that He knows of the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not but the synagogue of Satan: Rev 3:9, would you know whom He was referring to?

I have intentionally deleted your previous comment. We will not use the term that poverty pimp used here, not even in reference to him saying it. He should have been trying to minister the Gospel to them, given he claims to be a Christian minister. Let’s avoid wasting this on a sidebar about that poverty pimp.

IC, with a little of what I was able to see in the videos, an ex-Orthodox Jew said that he left the faith because of their ungodly practices. I’ll say this. Any one that can create their own bible, the Talmud something is wrong. Therefore, Rev 3:9 came to mind as to who is really Jews. I would like to point out that yes, I am aware what this person stands for, but I was just making references.

They are hardened for now, but as Romans 11 proves, there will be a remnant of the lot you see acting up that WILL proclaim Jesus as Lord.
We should press to minister the truth to them.

So if I said that I was a Jew, would that be blasphemy? What about you? Those people can easily say that they’re Jews. Exactly who was Jesus referring to in Rev 3:9?

Art123 - Muhammad told his followers they were keeping the laws that were given to the JEWS. Which is why they stone adulterous women and other things from the old law. And yea, they kill Christians converts. So even those we see in the video are not the only ones claiming they are keepers of the law.
Read Romans 11, you and I were grafted in and the hardening we see only ensures grace for those who are children of God from all people. Some of the biological seed of Abraham WILL embrace the Lord. It is our job to minister to them, not look upon ourselves with haughty eyes.
Before you and I were born again, we were Satan’s children as much as them or anyone else rejecting the gospel. Which is why we had to be “born again”.

To add, from what I read and understand, Mohammad’s people were of Abraham’s and Isthmael’s seed but they are not God’s chosen vessel.
