Eagle Mountain International Church (KCM) greatly respects Sen. Grassley’s interest in, and commitment to, taxexempt religious organizations,” John Copeland said in his written statement announcing that his organization had submitted its response Thursday”KCM undergoes an annual financial audit by an independent certified public accounting firm.
No financial audit determines if expenses charged are legal and proper - They just agree they were charged!
A compensation committee determines the compensation for each officer of the ministry, including members of the Copeland family, based on data compiled by an independent consulting firm.
The compensation committee is composed of who? Family, friends, outsiders, etc
We comply with all applicable legal obligations, including all applicable federal income tax laws.”
Everybody complies and it doesn’t mean the organization has integrity
Copeland went on to say “our church prides itself on financial accountability,” citing policies and procedures designed to ensure financial integrity.
Are the policies and procedures made public to ensure they work or just rubber stamp things
“At the same time, we have also instituted procedures to ensure the privacy of our donors, employees, directors and ministers,” he said.
So who are the directors and what is their total compensations? Why keep it a secret since it a nonprofit organization?

Check this video out of JC explaining the situation at a KCM staff chapel http://www.wittenburgdoor.com/node/112. This guy would be flippin’ burgers if his daddy weren’t KC.

Yea ahhh… Ya see, ya see, this is ahhh… persecution, yea, that’s the ticket, persecution. Because there’s a revival coming…. Yea, yea, that’s it, that’s it, a revival is coming and we’re being persecuted… Yea, that’s it. Never mind how we’ve been lying about scripture and greedy for money, because they’re tools of the devil, not us… Yea, that’s it, that’s the ticket!
Although, we know regarding Ole Anthony (Trinity Foundation runs that site with the video) JC is not lying. And that’s the really funny trick about all of this. The Copland’s are no good, but neither is Ole. But the Lord is letting it all play out and hopefully the sheep will figure it out and flee false doctrines.

You know, Brah (if the technology develops by then), I’m going to find a way to either tap into your brain/download all of the resourcefulness you have in discovering intriguing/relevant news in the Christian World and writing in a way that’s easy to understand……or simply make a replica of your brain & utilize it for the future. Either way, just wanting to say thank you for the work you do here…….and even when there’s disagreement, the effort placed forth is appreciated nonetheless Brah!!!
Hugs and Kisses (and please don’t trip on that last note)

Though in all honesty, for those who’d defend Copeland under the belief that his ministry is simply being "persecuted" I’m reminded of this:
It’s a very sobering thought to realize that t God actually allows false teachers to propagate their false teachings as a means of testing us……..and that should make us pause when considering the question "What does it say about us when we are attracted to teaching that makes us feel good about our sin and even leads us away from the paths of righteousness, even if the TEACHER HAS INDEED TAUGHT MANY VALID THINGS?"

Gxg, perhaps you should stop the "hugs and kisses". There are some who will take it the wrong way. I mean it’s not exactly the way the apostles ended their epistles
. When speaking of such things they used slightly more tactful wording
.
Your comments in point #4 are spot on!
And thanks for the kind comments.
