If you’ve tried to post a comment recently you noticed it did not post. This is a problem I’m working to resolve. Another post will be made once it is fixed.
This is a PRIME example of how false doctrine leads masses into total foolishness. And I have no problem saying I once was a fool too, but thank God through His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit I figured it out and now speak against it for the benefit of others who are still falling for it. A reader of this blog named Jimi, informed me of the video below. They tell me they used to attend this club of swindling and covetousness, but wised up and left. Praise God! Check out the video below and then I’ll say more.
Detroit World Outreach
Pimping the flock and the flock is too weak in scripture to recognize it.
While some claim otherwise and mishandle scripture to do it, the apostles of the Lord Jesus DID NOT preach a message of prosperity doctrine and they were SURROUNDED by poor saints. They preached contentment. HOWEVER, they devoted money donated to the needs of the poor.
Galatians 2:10 (New American Standard Bible)
|
When money was collected, it was primarily to meet the needs of poor saints.
1 Corinthians 16:1-4 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Notice, the money was collected for saints. There was famine and persecution in Jerusalem. While Detroit World Outreach raises money that goes to keeping a big building, to COLLECT MORE MONEY and their passas living large. You think much goes to help poor saints in Detroit? How can it, when Ben Gibert has proclaimed prosperity for himself?
Fake altars
The people are putting money on a platform for the pimps, that is called an “altar”. The “altar” was part of the old covenant temple and something that was constructed for animal sacrifices, Genesis 8:20, Exodus 27. This is not something that is found in new covenant scripture as a construct to be built by saints in a physical sense. We know through Christ that the old altar made of earthly materials is no more. We offer sacrifices of PRAISE from our HEARTS, DOING GOOD WORKS and SHARING.
Hebrews 13:8-16 (New American Standard Bible)
|
So after Christ, no more building altars of earthly materials. Offer sacrifices of PRAISE from your HEART, DO GOOD WORKS and SHARE with those who have NEED. Your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19. The apostles never built altars and never told anyone to construct any. In short, what is termed an altar today is a FARCE, because bad doctrine has led people to treat a building like a “temple”, John 2:18-22. The apostles figured it out! They made sure it was DOCUMENTED FOR US IN SCRIPTURE and because WE DON’T READ IT ENOUGH, we fall for bad teaching and treat a step in a building like an “altar”.
Some pimps claim they are having people put money at their feet, like was done with the apostles in Acts 4. That money the apostles collected WENT TO HELP THE POOR, NOT THEMSELVES. And these pimps are not the apostles. The method for collections by the church was established in 1 Corinthians 16:1-4. Today’s church leaders while leaders are not the apostles and so nobody needs to lay a dime at their “feet”, that has misled people to worship men. But we see a misguided flock putting money at what they THINK is an “altar” and before the feet of people who fleece them.
Oh yea, and that whole concept of “altar call”. Bad doctrine folks. People can accept Christ in their heart without going through the embarrassing process of walking up front while everyone is there, at a moment the individual is spiritually vulnerable and seeking the elders for prayer does not need to be a thing done as a show before everyone, James 5:14-16. (New converts make their conversion known via public baptism.) But we’re talking about pimps, not righteous elders who do good. Pimps play on showmanship, fear and twisting of doctrine, to make you think you’re in some old covenant temple system. I have respect for good elders, as scripture notes, Hebrews 13:17-19 and 1 Timothy 5:17-18, but these pimps never should be in their post in the first place. Given they never come close to the 1 Timothy 3 standard for church leadership. Covetous swindlers who claim the Lord’s name are to be excommunicated – 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 and their terrible doctrine is that of false teachers, 2 Peter 2. Which makes them handmaidens for evil rather than good, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. There is a difference between an elder and a false teacher. They are not to be treated the same!
The big mouthed lawyer and taxes
The “church lawyer” says:
Tiger Woods can make $100 Million and it’s not news worthy.
Tiger Woods EARNED his money from his work and did not use false doctrine to have people tossing it at his feet. Tiger Woods is not claiming the Lord’s name while diverting funds donated by saints for the work of God’s house for himself, instead of giving more to the poor. These pimps at Detroit World Outreach are the height of ARROGANCE. They feel they DESERVE to live WAY MORE THAN DOUBLE the life of those giving them money. They have gone beyond having themselves set for a comfortable life, to the point of making heathens envious of their material possessions instead of desiring eternal life in Christ Jesus.
$40K in taxes will be dodged because the home is owned by the “church”. Folks, guess who God TOLD TO PAY THEIR TAXES?
Romans 13:6-8 (New American Standard Bible)
|
In America the Religious Industry makes sure church groups don’t have to pay taxes, but their reasoning has NO SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION. I don’t care if it’s American tradition and been the law. The church endorsed a law that has no foundation in the duties of the saints. Sure there was a desire to avoid government intruding on church affairs, but these “churches” usually register with government anyway. If they can submit to government in registering their existence, they can pay taxes. In fact, to avoid government intrusion, church groups should pay taxes with no special rate cuts, to ensure no preferential treatment. Just wait, as hate crimes efforts from the political Left increase, I agree with DL Foster of Gay Christian Movement Watch, the tax exemption will be used like a vice around the neck of the church! See: New Jersey Revokes Tax Exemption of Church Owned Property to Promote the Homosexual Agenda.
The church lawyer also says to reporter:
You’re carnal, you don’t understand.
Those are the words of a debased mind defending a farce. The reporter ask lawyer to help him understand. The response:
Take the camera, leave.
Let’s see how the apostles treated outside scrutiny.
2 Corinthians 8:18-22 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Notice verses 20 and 21, God through Christ, by way of the Holy Spirit, has the apostle Paul note that they wish to not allow ANYONE to discredit their work. And they were raising money to give to poor saints, not buy a big mansion. This is why the apostles could be open to scrutiny, but Detroit World Outreach sent an investigative reporter away.
The results
A good example of the results of bad doctrine are in the poll the news station performed:
Is it ok for a church to purchase a $3.6 million mansion for its pastor?
Yes 75%
No 25%
Is it OK to allow yourself to be fleeced? It is a free country. So in a sense one could say that what Detroit World Outreach is doing meets the standard of men, however when measured against scripture, we see it falls very short. That is why when people like me and Jimi read our Bibles, we learned better and avoid places like Detroit World Outreach and shun people like Ben and Charisse Gibert, Ephesians 5:11.

Mega Pulpit Pimp and violator of all Christ warned saints about as noted in Matthew 23, Creflo Augustus Dollar was on the Canadian late night TV show called The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos for a short sit down interview.
I’ll let you check out the video below and then offer commentary.
Creflo Dollar
No desire to be held accountable to saints unless they’re already giving him money.
Sin has no measure.
Basically saying homosexuality is on par with all forms of sin. Keep in mind, this interview was in Canada, where people are locked up for speaking firmly against homosexuality. We see Creflo had no desire to speak firmly against the sin he was questioned about. Didn’t want to do anything that might land him in prison like the apostles who were continually locked up for telling the whole truth. Creflo instead tried to blur things with a mention of , “Sin has no measure.” Did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because they were on par with the rest of the world?
Genesis 18:20-21 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Well why didn’t Abraham claim that all sin and even he sins, so God should just let it all go? Abraham did not. Instead, Abraham hoped there would be enough people who were righteous, people striving to do right and God fearing. So God would spare the area. But God measured the sins as being GREAT and there simply were not enough righteous people to save the area, but the few who were righteous were not destroyed with the city.
Genesis 19:12-13 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Only faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and Him working in us cleans away our sins. No man deserves to be saved, yes all have sinned, but those who embrace Christ will be saved. What occurred with Sodom and Gomorrah is an archetype of what Christ’s judgment of this entire world will be like. The Lord will spare those who have trusted on Him alone and strived to avoid sin, because those with God’s Holy Spirit desire to avoid what they know God hates. While all others who did not accept Christ will be burned. And Jesus said it will be WORSE than Sodom and Gomorrah, because judgment will bring eternal damnation for sinners.
Matthew 10:14-15 (New American Standard Bible)
|
When people toss out the line, “Sin has no measure” it’s typically to cover for the sin of homosexuality. Under the Mosaic law, while breaking any law was wrong and an offense to God, some were weighed greater than others.
Matthew 23:23 (New American Standard Bible)
|
If “Sin has no measure”, how come the man who leaves his family is WORSE than an unbeliever?
1 Timothy 5:8 (New American Standard Bible)
|
Perhaps, sin has a measure. But no man can measure up to the perfection that God requires to be in His presence, Romans 3:21-23? This is why we need the Lord Jesus Christ, to forgive us of our sins and grant us access we otherwise do not have. This is why saints call on Christ and no other name, Acts 4:12.
The bottom line is, that throughout scripture sexual immorality is seen as one of the most heinous of sins, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Not that anyone who never committed homosexual sin has anything to brag about, a person who never did it but forsakes Christ is still going to burn. However, when asked point blank about homosexuality, we should not act like “Sin has no measure”. God destroyed the world once via a flood and later Sodom and Gomorrah, to display that sin can get to a point where God will no longer permit it to continue.
Below I cite moments in the video based on time stamp.
5:45 counting up, prosperity twists. Creflo uses the “prosper and be in health” line. I explain why saints should express contentment in this other post and why Creflo’s line is not on par with the Word of God in terms of material gain. Creflo also mentioned Joseph, Genesis 39:2. Well what about Lazarus versus the rich ruler, Luke 16:19-31? Lazarus lived and died broke with his body covered with sores, but he enjoys an eternal reward like Joseph. So we can’t say that the Lord being with you means you’ll have earthly wealth, but rather that you’ll have eternal life. Joseph was an archetype of the work of Christ. Think of what Joseph went through and how it relates to what Christ endured while on earth in flesh. There are direct parallels that you learn more about the more you study it. It is not something the church should use to claim saints will gain material wealth. But Creflo Dollar is a false teacher as described in 2 Peter 2.
Because Creflo is a false teacher, he lies about God like this. Creflo said:
If we are people that believe God and believe the word. Then we believe what he says, that we should be successful.
Creflo feels that all saints are entitled to earthly success. Tell it to Lazarus and the apostles, they all died minus great material wealth, but have even greater rewards in Heaven, Luke 6:20. This is a concept Creflo does not understand.
8:00 Speaking about financial accountability, he notes that his swindling racket “ministry” has an annual audit. Of course when you hire the audit company, you can make sure the audit does not have to meet a saintly standard of how finances are distributed.
But Creflo was pressed on this issue and this is where he showed that he does not care to be found to be a good steward by all.
George Stroumboulopoulos: There is some concerns about the transparency of the finances though. Isn’t there’s a monitoring group who monitors all of them. I don’t know if this changed? I think initially you guys didn’t grade very well. Right? Are you aware of those sorts of monitors?
Creflo Augustus Dollar Jr.: Well some of those guys, who just want to monitor and be spiritual police. Well I don’t want to have anything to do with them. I’m more concerned about where it matters. The IRS, the government, those people who need to come in and see it. Instead of those people who have crowned themselves the policemen to go out and give their report. And I think we are obligated to operate with integrity. That we’re obligated to expose the finances to those who are partnered with the ministry. I mean if you’re a member of the church or a partner with the ministry, our books are open. You should be able to come and see what you’re giving to and what happened to that money.
…
MinistryWatch.org gives Creflo’s gambit a grade of “F” regarding transparency and notes:
This organization has not offered MinistryWatch with a response for their profile.
…
Of course outside monitors have qualified accountants, who know what they are looking at when they view records. As opposed to most who when seeing the mass of figures won’t be able to easily identify accounting tricks. Outside Christian monitoring groups can ensure a biblical standard is upheld. Creflo Dollar desires the standard of the IRS. Isn’t that the same standard that allowed Eddie Long to milk his own so-called charity for millions?
Creflo then goes on with how he no longer takes a salary. This usually is used by pulpit pimps as a means to guilt people into giving to them via “love offerings”. He went on to speak of how he makes his “own money” via his companies. What he did not say is that he peddles his twisted brand of the Word of God for that profit in his companies. Far from the example of the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:17 (New American Standard Bible)
|
And the money that goes into his “ministry”, that he claims he does not take any of. (Which being subject to more outside monitors could better verify.) It really just helps to BUILD HIS BRAND for things he does profit from. So in effect, that little old lady’s money is used as a sort of promotional underwriting tool, that he calls “ministry”. Because any dollar that promotes his “ministry” promotes HIM AND LIES THAT ARE NOT THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Sure a good elder is due something, 1 Timothy 5:17, but Creflo is a false teacher. And Creflo’s massive wealth means that if he desired to be a good elder, he could choose to take no salary from anything and give more to the poor. He could help those poor saints he says should have “no lack” to actually have “no lack”, just as is noted in the scriptures Creflo abuses that speak of “no lack”, Acts 4.
9:30 – Instead of local churches having a speaking pastor, he wants to be the speaking pastor, to literally hundreds of church assemblies. That little old lady’s money at work, TO PROMOTE HIM! Local churches are supposed to have their own speaking elders, that speak to the needs of their area. Not some guy via video addressing them. Creflo is not God.
During the discussion, the show’s host George Stroumboulopoulos was trying as best he could to discuss some biblical matters with Creflo. Unfortunately, Mr. Stroumboulopoulos showed he really does not understand the difference between Old covenant and New covenant commands at times. And of course Creflo is the type that uses such misunderstandings to his own advantage. If saints had a fully firm grasp of the differences between old and new covenant commands and promised rewards, Creflo would have an empty building.
Just yesterday, Dazzarai and I had a prolonged exchange with a legalist, who has been misguided into thinking that saints must keep the Jewish Torah. This is the sort of twist we’ve seen from people like Ole Anthony. Who encounter Jews who reject Christ and are misled them into thinking they should observe things that are of the old covenant and no longer apply. Dazzarai closed the debate with the following video, given no saint should spend too much time debating with a legalist, Titus 3:9-11
Last scripture response to TorahRevival
Acts 15
Saints should deal with people who are open to outside scrutiny of their financial records, not Creflo Augustus Dollar Junior.
(*Update: This post is only still up for archival purposes, but Ringo has turned from many bad things he used to teach, see A Sign of Hope. Ringo, YouTubber Ringo4Life Proclaims the Prosperity Doctrine is a Scam! I now regard him as a fellow brother in Christ, growing in grace.*)
A while back, Melvin over at Pulpit Pimps had to call out a fledgling false teacher who uses the YouTube handle “Ringo4life“, aka Ringo. See Melvin’s post Kill It Before It Multiplies. In the cited footage, Ringo commits one of his MANY heresies in claiming as the video title Ringo put on YouTube states “WE’RE JUST LIKE GOD”.
Also Dazzarai exposed Ringo as false in his video False Teacher Warning No 1. Ringo is at the 3:00 mark counting up. The guy with a headset and denim jacket, claiming Paul’s epistles were works of Paul’s own mind and not fully of the Lord Jesus Christ. God through Christ by way of the Holy Spirit had the apostle Peter affirm the epistles of Paul in 2 Peter 3:14-18 and noted how the untrained and unstable distort Paul’s epistles and all scripture to their OWN DESTRUCTION.
You can go to YouTube yourself and view some of Ringo’s older videos, where he tries to defend various things like the false prosperity doctrine too. Why is Ringo SO FALSE? Because he’s been trained by FALSE TEACHER CREFLO DOLLAR! Last I heard he was a member of Creflo’s assembly.
Well, everybody is piling on Juanita Bynum and Ringo found a point to call out in his video Juanita Bynum_The $5,000 Pen_No Bic Pens Allowed. I’m not saying that video is wrong. However, when will Ringo realize the man he sits under himself is a false teacher? When will Ringo turn from the false doctrines he embraces? When will Ringo apologize to Dazzarai for the FALSE accusations he made about Dazzarai? The accusations were false and Ringo attempted to attack Daz’s character because Dazzarai was admonishing Ringo in YouTube comments in some of Ringo’s videos and making videos in response to Ringo’s false teachings.
When Ringo lied about Dazzarai, Ringo even sent me a YouTube message about his work, to try and get me to turn my back on my brother. But it didn’t work!
When Ringo is not false teaching, it looks like he’s using lust to help market women’s shoes.
Anyway, people need to know the truth. Ringo might have been on point about Bynum regarding pens, but he’s a false teacher and if you notice he puts his name on everything IN LARGE PRINT, very self serving.
Ringo is a man walking the false gospel road of 2 Peter 2 and he is best to be avoided. I guess we can only pray that the discernment he’s displayed in calling out Bynum over a pin will be used by him to see that the man he sits under named Creflo Augustus Dollar is also FALSE.
update 10/19/2007 10:20AM: What is up with Ringo’s MySpace page? He has a link there to World Changers Church-New York, which means he’s still down with Creflo. The video he has there titled “Hell on Earth”…not something I’d expect from someone claiming the Lord’s name. Plus the links to his false teachings and other junk. You don’t think he’s full of himself, do you? To me, this is the rotten fruit of Creflo Augustus Dollar.
Let’s all put our faith in God aside, enter the voting booth and vote for Conservative values. That is what people like Bob Jones III are saying when they claim Christianity, but endorse someone THEY KNOW is in a cult of heresy and THEY KNOW people not in such a cult probably will also be running for President. Suddenly, instead of standing on what you believe and avoiding promotion of a cult, that comes 2nd to Conservative values. While this blog’s title is Independent Conservative, which I am, I am a Christian FIRST. I was under the mistaken impression once upon a time that many Christians who are Conservatives felt the same, but apparently keeping the GOP ELEPHANT in power means more than anything for some. So they’ll promote a known cult drone who flip-flops on the issues, just so the GOP gets a win. Just my opinion, but I feel many worship the RNC more highly than Jesus Christ. Just as some Liberals worship things like keeping abortion legal more than anything. It’s all about values, but they’ll forsake the suffering that might come by standing with a candidate that is not sold out to a cult.
This is not about voting for a Presidential candidate who has all their theological points in agreement with me, but certainly I’m not trying to endorse a cult either. A Mitt Romney Presidency would promote the cult of Joseph Smith Junior (Mormonism) like never before. It would fulfill the dream that cult’s founder attempted to achieve himself, to be President of the USA.
Bob Jones was behind Team Bush, Team Bush is behind Romney and now Bob Jones has followed suit.
Bob Jones III endorses Romney for president
|
So is Bob Jone’s priority Christians or Conservatives? While many Christian views line up with Conservative values, Christianity does not equal Conservative.
…
Asked whether Romney?s religion was a stumbling block for him, Jones replied, “What is the alternative, Hillary?s lack of religion or an erroneous religion?“As a Christian I am completely opposed to the doctrines of Mormonism,” he said.
…
And those are the words of a man who is mentally locked in a 2 party box. Instead of voting for the BEST CANDIDATE regardless of what everyone else votes for, this man will vote with the masses to endorse a cult member.
This part of a quote from Jones says it best.
…
It boils down to who can best represent conservative American beliefs, not religious beliefs.
…
So Jones is basically saying faith does not matter when it comes to who he will seek to have rule over him in government. I feel, when given the choice and there are always more than 2 for President, I have the freedom to consider all factors, faith included. And I vote for the candidate who best represents my views, even if the rest of America disagrees with my choice.
…
During the 2000 primary, then-Gov. George W. Bush drew heat after visiting the university, which at that time banned interracial dating. Jones soon dropped the ban, saying it wasn?t important enough to be worth the controversy.
…
You know, once they let the racial hang-up go, I was willing to forgive that. Now they’ve crossed a line that is even deeper than race for me. They’ve compromised in a way they know advances a cult. Even when we disagreed about racial matters, we knew what one must do to be saved. (Although his views on race were spawned from Satan, because he showed partiality based on race between saints and that could have landed him in hell, James 2.) Now Bob Jones III is endorsing a man who will cause more people to consider aligning themselves with a cult. I wonder if Bob Jones III allowed a White Mormon to hold hands with one of his White Christian students of the opposite sex on the campus of his University, back when they banned Black and White Christians of the opposite sex from doing so?
…
Some religious conservatives were quick to denounce Jones? endorsement.“As Christians we should not endorse a cult member as our president,” Wayne Owens Sr., a self-described rank-and-file conservative Christian said in an e-mail to The News. “Bob Jones? basic premise is in error. It is not about beating Hillary. It?s about doing what is right.”
Tamara Valdes-Russell, a 1997 BJU graduate, said she is “disgusted” with Jones? supporting Romney.
“Fear of Hillary Clinton should not be the driving force for whom we choose to support in an election,” she said in an e-mail to The News. “?In the end, whether Hillary wins or someone else, God is ultimately in control of the situation. I refuse to lower my standards to the lowest common denominator.”
…
Notice Tamara Valdes-Russell gets it. Fear is not the driving force for the Christian. No matter who wins, God’s perfect plan will continue on course to completion. We saints try and endorse who we feel will best serve our interests, but that does not mean we should do something that will encourage Americans to consider a cult that teaches of another jesus. Like endorsing a cult member to the highest office in the land.
Romans 13:1 (New King James Version)
|
This means that all who assume earthly leadership are placed there by God’s will of who should assume the post in the fulfillment of His plan. We might not enjoy who has the post, but in the end God will be glorified. And regardless of who has political power, that is not who rules our hearts.
Colossians 3:15-17 (New King James Version)
|
So God rules and we know He is above all, Christ the Son of God and God who came to earth in flesh (Colossians 2:8-10) is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Whatever I do, I should do in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. That means even when I walk into the voting booth, it’s to be done with my TRUE LORD in mind. So I can’t do something to advance a cult. If I lived in Utah and all Mormons are on the ballot, it’s a given the cult already runs the place, so voting for a Mormon does nothing to advance what is already there and covering the ballot. However, we have far more choices available and it’s sad to see some short change a real best option in the name of politics, winning and the Golden Elephant of the GOP remaining in power.
