Creflo Says, He Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Outside Christian Oversight!

by @ 9:03 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

Mega Pulpit Pimp and violator of all Christ warned saints about as noted in Matthew 23, Creflo Augustus Dollar was on the Canadian late night TV show called The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos for a short sit down interview.

I’ll let you check out the video below and then offer commentary.

Creflo Dollar
No desire to be held accountable to saints unless they’re already giving him money.

When asked about homosexuality he mentions.

Sin has no measure.

Basically saying homosexuality is on par with all forms of sin. Keep in mind, this interview was in Canada, where people are locked up for speaking firmly against homosexuality. We see Creflo had no desire to speak firmly against the sin he was questioned about. Didn’t want to do anything that might land him in prison like the apostles who were continually locked up for telling the whole truth. Creflo instead tried to blur things with a mention of , “Sin has no measure.” Did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because they were on par with the rest of the world?

Genesis 18:20-21 (New American Standard Bible)

20 And the LORD said, “The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave.

21 “I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

Well why didn’t Abraham claim that all sin and even he sins, so God should just let it all go? Abraham did not. Instead, Abraham hoped there would be enough people who were righteous, people striving to do right and God fearing. So God would spare the area. But God measured the sins as being GREAT and there simply were not enough righteous people to save the area, but the few who were righteous were not destroyed with the city.

Genesis 19:12-13 (New American Standard Bible)

12 Then the two men said to Lot, “Whom else have you here? A son-in-law, and your sons, and your daughters, and whomever you have in the city, bring them out of the place;

13 for we are about to destroy this place, because their outcry has become so great before the LORD that the LORD has sent us to destroy it.”

Only faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and Him working in us cleans away our sins. No man deserves to be saved, yes all have sinned, but those who embrace Christ will be saved. What occurred with Sodom and Gomorrah is an archetype of what Christ’s judgment of this entire world will be like. The Lord will spare those who have trusted on Him alone and strived to avoid sin, because those with God’s Holy Spirit desire to avoid what they know God hates. While all others who did not accept Christ will be burned. And Jesus said it will be WORSE than Sodom and Gomorrah, because judgment will bring eternal damnation for sinners.

Matthew 10:14-15 (New American Standard Bible)

14 “Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.

15 “Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.

When people toss out the line, “Sin has no measure” it’s typically to cover for the sin of homosexuality. Under the Mosaic law, while breaking any law was wrong and an offense to God, some were weighed greater than others.

Matthew 23:23 (New American Standard Bible)

23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.

If “Sin has no measure”, how come the man who leaves his family is WORSE than an unbeliever?

1 Timothy 5:8 (New American Standard Bible)

8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Perhaps, sin has a measure. But no man can measure up to the perfection that God requires to be in His presence, Romans 3:21-23? This is why we need the Lord Jesus Christ, to forgive us of our sins and grant us access we otherwise do not have. This is why saints call on Christ and no other name, Acts 4:12.

The bottom line is, that throughout scripture sexual immorality is seen as one of the most heinous of sins, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. Not that anyone who never committed homosexual sin has anything to brag about, a person who never did it but forsakes Christ is still going to burn. However, when asked point blank about homosexuality, we should not act like “Sin has no measure”. God destroyed the world once via a flood and later Sodom and Gomorrah, to display that sin can get to a point where God will no longer permit it to continue.

Below I cite moments in the video based on time stamp.

5:45 counting up, prosperity twists. Creflo uses the “prosper and be in health” line. I explain why saints should express contentment in this other post and why Creflo’s line is not on par with the Word of God in terms of material gain. Creflo also mentioned Joseph, Genesis 39:2. Well what about Lazarus versus the rich ruler, Luke 16:19-31? Lazarus lived and died broke with his body covered with sores, but he enjoys an eternal reward like Joseph. So we can’t say that the Lord being with you means you’ll have earthly wealth, but rather that you’ll have eternal life. Joseph was an archetype of the work of Christ. Think of what Joseph went through and how it relates to what Christ endured while on earth in flesh. There are direct parallels that you learn more about the more you study it. It is not something the church should use to claim saints will gain material wealth. But Creflo Dollar is a false teacher as described in 2 Peter 2.

Because Creflo is a false teacher, he lies about God like this. Creflo said:

If we are people that believe God and believe the word. Then we believe what he says, that we should be successful.

Creflo feels that all saints are entitled to earthly success. Tell it to Lazarus and the apostles, they all died minus great material wealth, but have even greater rewards in Heaven, Luke 6:20. This is a concept Creflo does not understand.

8:00 Speaking about financial accountability, he notes that his swindling racket “ministry” has an annual audit. Of course when you hire the audit company, you can make sure the audit does not have to meet a saintly standard of how finances are distributed.

But Creflo was pressed on this issue and this is where he showed that he does not care to be found to be a good steward by all.

George Stroumboulopoulos: There is some concerns about the transparency of the finances though. Isn’t there’s a monitoring group who monitors all of them. I don’t know if this changed? I think initially you guys didn’t grade very well. Right? Are you aware of those sorts of monitors?

Creflo Augustus Dollar Jr.:
Well some of those guys, who just want to monitor and be spiritual police. Well I don’t want to have anything to do with them. I’m more concerned about where it matters. The IRS, the government, those people who need to come in and see it. Instead of those people who have crowned themselves the policemen to go out and give their report. And I think we are obligated to operate with integrity. That we’re obligated to expose the finances to those who are partnered with the ministry. I mean if you’re a member of the church or a partner with the ministry, our books are open. You should be able to come and see what you’re giving to and what happened to that money.

MinistryWatch.org gives Creflo’s gambit a grade of “F” regarding transparency and notes:

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch with a response for their profile.

Of course outside monitors have qualified accountants, who know what they are looking at when they view records. As opposed to most who when seeing the mass of figures won’t be able to easily identify accounting tricks. Outside Christian monitoring groups can ensure a biblical standard is upheld. Creflo Dollar desires the standard of the IRS. Isn’t that the same standard that allowed Eddie Long to milk his own so-called charity for millions?

Creflo then goes on with how he no longer takes a salary. This usually is used by pulpit pimps as a means to guilt people into giving to them via “love offerings”. He went on to speak of how he makes his “own money” via his companies. What he did not say is that he peddles his twisted brand of the Word of God for that profit in his companies. Far from the example of the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:17 (New American Standard Bible)

17 For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.

And the money that goes into his “ministry”, that he claims he does not take any of. (Which being subject to more outside monitors could better verify.) It really just helps to BUILD HIS BRAND for things he does profit from. So in effect, that little old lady’s money is used as a sort of promotional underwriting tool, that he calls “ministry”. Because any dollar that promotes his “ministry” promotes HIM AND LIES THAT ARE NOT THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Sure a good elder is due something, 1 Timothy 5:17, but Creflo is a false teacher. And Creflo’s massive wealth means that if he desired to be a good elder, he could choose to take no salary from anything and give more to the poor. He could help those poor saints he says should have “no lack” to actually have “no lack”, just as is noted in the scriptures Creflo abuses that speak of “no lack”, Acts 4.

9:30 - Instead of local churches having a speaking pastor, he wants to be the speaking pastor, to literally hundreds of church assemblies. That little old lady’s money at work, TO PROMOTE HIM! Local churches are supposed to have their own speaking elders, that speak to the needs of their area. Not some guy via video addressing them. Creflo is not God.

During the discussion, the show’s host George Stroumboulopoulos was trying as best he could to discuss some biblical matters with Creflo. Unfortunately, Mr. Stroumboulopoulos showed he really does not understand the difference between Old covenant and New covenant commands at times. And of course Creflo is the type that uses such misunderstandings to his own advantage. If saints had a fully firm grasp of the differences between old and new covenant commands and promised rewards, Creflo would have an empty building.

Just yesterday, Dazzarai and I had a prolonged exchange with a legalist, who has been misguided into thinking that saints must keep the Jewish Torah. This is the sort of twist we’ve seen from people like Ole Anthony. Who encounter Jews who reject Christ and are misled them into thinking they should observe things that are of the old covenant and no longer apply. Dazzarai closed the debate with the following video, given no saint should spend too much time debating with a legalist, Titus 3:9-11

Last scripture response to TorahRevival
Acts 15

Many old covenant teachings promised material rewards, it is not the case under the new covenant where desired rewards are of a spiritual nature NOT PHYSICAL. For details read contentment.

Saints should deal with people who are open to outside scrutiny of their financial records, not Creflo Augustus Dollar Junior.

    IC,

I commented on Melvin’s site about a similar incident regarding financials except it was Paula White. Regarding Creflo even if he did release the Financials to those who gave to his ministry(I say that lightly) he probably would give you the same type of Financial statements Paula White did. After reviewing the financials it became clear that they were “consolidated” financial statements. In other the words sub accounts were combined into a larger more general account which can hide the exact amounts of a given account. IF Creflo has an Expense Account in a “consolidated” Financial statement and lets say it’s 5 million dollars( Arguments sake). Because it is a consolidated financial you don’t know how much of that was Creflo’s salary. I’ll try to dig a Paula’s financials to give you a better idea. OK! I got her financials. If you look at page 3 of the financials (page 10 of the PDF) You will come to the Consolidated Statements of Activity. You will notice in the expenses an account called Management and General which comes to 5.2 million dollars. Because it is a “consolidated” financial you will never know what is the Salary Expense amount buried in that account. For all you know Paula could have pocketed the whole 5.2 million or maybe 0 (which I highly don’t). So as you can see even financial transparency is questionable. If by some stroke of luck you can get Creflos financials you will also see a Consolidated Financial Statement so you will never get to know how much was in Salary Expense account for Creflo Dollar. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

    I hope this helped!

The more I hear and see of these false teachers and the mess that comes out of their mouths. The more am realizing nothing should take me by surprise. I thought Juanita’s $5000 pin statement was out there, but when Creflo made the statement if he could pick his name it would have been Creflo Million Dollar I realized these people are true men/women of Satan and not so called men/women of gawd.

  3. IndependentConservative Says:

KyleAndrews - But even with the smoked numbers that Paula and Randy White provided, we were able to easily tell that they only give a small percentage of the money they take in to the benefit of the poor. While they brag of the money they do give, we had the opportunity to see that it’s peanuts. I dug into the numbers in the post Randy and Paula White are Vipers! and mentioned:

So how much of the money coming in is going out to help the needy?

    “…
It paid more than $3.1million for “missions, outreach and benevolence” last year, according to the audit.
    … ”

Notice, that’s less than the $5.5 million payroll and less than 10% of the $35 million collected last year. So although they do some things for the needy, it’s a lame effort considering the total collected.

So even if Creflo gave us smoked over numbers, we would have something to work with.

alady1969 - You know I’m so used to hearing Creflo talk smack, that I didn’t even mention that “Creflo Million Dollar” statement and should have. Good you pointed it out.

  4. KyleAndrews Says:

    IC,

That is true as you say. I’m sure Creflo is even worse. I would like to know “how much” one would have to “donate” to Creflo’s ministry (so-called) to be able to get a copy of his financials. He claims that both partners or members have access to them. I would toss him 10 bucks if that is all it took. Somehow I think you have to be one of his gold club givers to get them.

    Kyle

  5. IndependentConservative Says:

And in the $3.1 million the Whites claim went to “missions, outreach and benevolence” what if $2.1 million went to something they classified as “outreach”, but we would call self promotion? We don’t know… Even that pitiful figure might be well smoked over.

And yea, I figure Creflo’s statement of:

I mean if you’re a member of the church or a partner with the ministry, our books are open. You should be able to come and see what you’re giving to and what happened to that money.

Was probably a very loaded statement. Is it just any “member”, or do the “members” who they feel paid enough get access? It would be good to know what the experience has been of a “member” who tried to see the books. And “partner”, like you said, who knows what he means or what the actual experience has been of someone who tried to see the books.

I don’t know if you heard anything about when a member of Two Rivers Baptist in Nashville, TN desired to see all the numbers, but it didn’t go pretty. And that’s a Southern Baptist spot, not a spot pushing money cometh doctrine. For you who know about that matter, I’ll say I’ve been watching it closely up till the speaking pastor was voted to remain in his post. I think they should have given up all the numbers up front. No waiting for the next “business meeting” for warmed over figures and it’s disgusting that any side in the matter went to court over this. It’s so disgusting that I was even sickened by the ACLJ even taking a side to get involved at all and if you didn’t notice, they are now longer in this blog’s list of links. Not that anybody should have sued for anything, but the church should have handed over the numbers when asked and the ACLJ just helped in the cover job although I don’t think government should be involved in church affairs. Two Rivers’ leaders brought shame on their own heads by holding back from offering the figures. So what if the person asking was looking for something to complain about.

The real bottom line is, all these churches that have a web site could post their fully itemized financial register online for the world to see. Not to brag about any good they are doing, but to be honestly “transparent”.

Read 2 Corinthians 8 and see how Paul worked to ensure that nobody could question the administration of money given to help poor saints.

  6. Gay Christian Movement Watch Says:

Creflo Dollar protects his money in Canada…

My pastor used to call it being “mealy mouthed”. But its also known as cowardice. So this is what a “world changer” does when the world confronts him?
And how else can we describe to pansy-wansy response of the Rev. Creflo Doll…

  7. KyleAndrews Says:

    IC,

If I’m not mistaken was The ACLJ somehow affiliated with CBN at one time? If so we all know that Pat Robertson is an ardent supporter of WoF/Prosperity.

  8. Gxg--G2 Says:

Transparency would go a long way…

  9. Gxg--G2 Says:

By the way, when was the exchange between you & Dazzari with that other individual? I’d like to get more involved….

  10. SloppyThoughts Says:

4My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.
5Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

    1 Corinthians 4:4-6

While I do appreciate things this site has to offer, I also believe judging a man’s heart and motives are not up to us but really up to God.

  11. Praiser4Life Says:

    Members = ONLY TITHERS!!

  12. Gxg--G2 Says:

    Hi Sloppy Thoughts…..

If I may say, the context of I Corinthians 4:4-6 was dealing with judging other Christians, evaluating whether or not they are good followers of Christ….but only God knows a person’s heart, & He is the ONLY one with the right to judge. Paul’s warning to the Corinthians should also warn us….for we are to confront those who are sinning (I Corinthians 5:12-13), but we must judge not who is a better servant of Christ.

When we judge someone, we invariably consider ourselves better–& that is arrogant.

Discernment, however, is a different issue. And we have been called by SCRIPTURE to judge the works of those who claim the name of CHrist but whose actions go CONTRARY TO THAT. Without judging (as in, comparing what we see/hear with what the Word says, we cannot gauge correct doctrine…..nor truly be able to know what’s of God & what’s not.)

    For your consideration:

    http://cicministry.org/commentary/issue94.htm

  13. KyleAndrews Says:

    Sloppythoughts,

No matter how much info we give, people like yourself always try to defend the pimps in certain ways. What does providing a Financial statement and critiquing the fact that Millions go to the Pastor while peanuts go to those in need. I presented a financial statement of Paula White that clearly shows the expenses for Management i.e., salaries is higher than for missions. What does it take for some people to wake up? Would it take Creflo himself pocketing the offerings on TV in front of a camera? This stuff is such an open shut case. And as for judging a mans heart let me inform you that the heart of man is inherently evil. That includes you, me, and Creflo. However I rely on the Holy Ghost because when I lean on my own inclinations I sin.

    Kyle

  14. IndependentConservative Says:

Sloppythoughts, please let me assist you with a few things.

You’ve cited 1 Corinthians 4:4-6, but lost the truth of that message. See 1 Corinthians 3. That is the later part of Paul addressing an issue where people were claiming they were of Apollos versus Paul. Also in 1 Corinthians 4:2 a verse before your citation it is noted that “it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.”

This was a case of people judging a man Paul planted to minister to saints. A man who was not found to be in fault himself, unlike Creflo. So judgments of Apollos had no merit. He goes on in chapter 4 to speak of how those who were passing judgment needed to follow his example of piety. How he suffered persecution and lived homeless. He was telling them that they need to STOP LIVING LIKE CREFLO DOLLAR AND TRYING TO SPEAK ABOUT MEN WHO GAVE THEIR ALL FOR THE GOSPEL.

Now lets take it a chapter further in Paul’s letter to the churches in Corinth. I’m going to embolden a few words for your benefit.

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (New American Standard Bible)

    9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people;

10 I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world.

11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler–not even to eat with such a one.

12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church?

13 But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.

    Dollar expresses covetousness.

If I tell you that you can give me money and obtain wealth, I am a swindler. Read Acts 8:20. The apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ deemed that telling people they can get the Holy Spirit to move via money to be heresy.

So what is being said about liar Dollar is on firm scriptural foundation. The pimps use the “don’t judge” lines to keep themselves from being excommunicated as God through Christ by way of the Holy Spirit instructed his apostle Paul to instruct us.

  15. Gxg--G2 Says:

You also forgot the “Touch Not My Anointed” one……

  16. mjones Says:

Cref made the typical side step. Rather than saying homosexuality is sin and should be judged as we judge others, he says “We want to single out Homosexuality and ignore the rest.” Basically, that’s not true. Yes stealing is a sin. Denominations don’t allow someone who is a known thief to take a position of leadership. Homosexuality is a sin. So how come denominations allow a person who is a known homosexual to assume a position of leadership?

I believe you are correct. Speaking out against homosexuality would have cost Cashflow way too much money, both in legal fees and a drop in his contributions from offended followers.

Remember, these people follow him only as long as he tickles their ears, not if he forces them to make hard choices and moral decisions.

  17. art123 Says:

If Dollar’s ministry was well managed, then he wouldn’t have to worry about some stinking outside Christian overhead.

  18. IndependentConservative Says:

Exactly. A NON-PROFIT with nothing to hide should be able to hand over the information with no problem.

A church should hand the information over in full to all who request it. So no man can speak ill of the church. Hence just posting the full register on their web sites would be so much easier.

It’s not like anyone is asking to see Creflo’s PERSONAL financial documents.

  19. SloppyThoughts Says:

Thanks for the clarification, Independent Conservative. I understand where you are coming from with this now.

  20. Gxg--G2 Says:

In case anyone may’ve missed it, please go here to check it out. Government’s finally beginning a shakedown of the SIX MAJOR MINISTRIES to see whether or not they really have nothing to hide……& whether or not they’re using their tax-excempt status to support extremely LAVISH lifestyles:

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/11/06/cbsnews_investigates/main3456977.shtml

P.S: Yes, Bro IC, the shakedown was set in motion by the actions of
Ole Anthony, who  is mentioned,…… and he’s generally pretty thorough in his efforts - been trying to get Jakes for years, but hasn’t been able to. But he’s the one who took Tilton, and W.V.Grant out. That said, despite how his actions have been contrary to Scripture elsewhere, thankfully he got the ball rolling on things…….

Gotta give props for the  "financial fraud" watch dogs as well as the "Heresy Hunters" (lol, lol, lol).
