1) But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

2) For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3) unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,

4) traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5) having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

6) For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

7) always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 ) Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;

9) but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

5) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

6) to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

7) to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

8 ) For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9) For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

10) Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;

11) for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

9) Rejoice, O young man, in your youth,
And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth;
Walk in the ways of your heart,
And in the sight of your eyes;
But know that for all these
God will bring you into judgment.
10) Therefore remove sorrow from your heart,
And put away evil from your flesh,
For childhood and youth are vanity.

21) “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
