Juanita Bynum’s Latest Money Pitch! The NEW Threshing Floor. This Time I’ll Let You Sound The Alarm.

by @ 12:16 am. Filed under Nuts on Parade

GaryV being the watchman that he is, decided to see what one of Satan’s children is planning in their continual effort to deceive saints. He found that the viper named Juanita Bynum has a new video up. He sent me a warning about it.

update 9/24/2007, Bynum has removed the video that was at a link once placed here in this post, but our brother on YouTube dazzarai has copy that I’m posting below. It has all of her speaking, minus the extended music at the end with more pictures of her showing off.

Juanita Bynum begs for $200,000

Here’s the deal. I normally show you this stuff and then give full details of why this sort of thing fails to line up with scripture and also why it’s a terrible thing based on scripture. I could do that once again, but I’d like some of you to take a stab at this one. Basically, the first 5 best comments (not the first 5, but the first 5 best), that offer scripture based analysis of this foolishness will become part of this post. I mean, this post will be updated with 5 additions from the comments you make. The first 5 that detail part or all of why this defies the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

So go for it. The next words you read in this post will be scripture based commentary from some of you, who rightfully divide scripture over this mess.

update 9/17/2007 8:38AM:
westchester has put up and excellent comment that all should read and the beauty of this is that westchester does an excellent job while expounding on some parts of this that I probably would not have captured as well myself. This exercise will help ensure this is covered from all angles. Below is the comment with scripture based commentary from westchester.

The first thing I noticed was ?Dr. Bynum?s? appearance. I assume she?s trying to look sexy and modern with that open part near her chest. She does not present herself as a chaste and discreet woman of God.

Titus 3:3-5 NKJV

?the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things?that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Regarding the ?threshing floor?: there is no New Testament scripture that instructs the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to pray on a threshing floor. The Old Testament is for our understanding; the New Testament is for our application. Jesus did not practice this; the apostles did not practice this; nor was it taught in any epistle. Rather, we are instructed by the following examples:

Matthew 6:5-8 KJV

5) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 ) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Another reference is:

1 Timothy 2:8-10 KJV

8 ) I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

9) In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

10) But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Woman can and should pray publicly, but with a sense of propriety and dignity that honors the Lord.

?Dr. Bynum? already has the thirty acres and twelve acres of lake front. She has enough privacy and acreage to pray for the nations. This is how Jesus handled it:

Mark 1:35 KJV

35) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

The Ark of The Covenant contained items that helped the Children of Israel remember what God did for them in the wilderness, and the cover of the Ark of The Covenant contained the Mercy Seat whereon the blood of a goat was sprinkled to atone for the Children of Israel?s sins. However, the entire chapter three of the book of Galatians assures the Christian that our atonement is in Christ alone. Also, Hebrews 9 gives us this insight:

Hebrews 9:2-10 KJV

2) For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3) And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4) Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron?s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5) And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6) Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7) But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8 ) The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9) Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10) Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

The Ark of the Covenant is not for us. The time of reformation came when Jesus came into the earth in human form, suffered, died and was resurrected. The next two verses make this perfectly clear:

Hebrews 9:11-12 KJV

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

We are the redeemed of the Lord and His Spirit is in us, leading us, guiding us, and directing us. We are justified by faith alone in Jesus Christ and provisions have not been made for this dispensation to follow the sacrificial commandments of the Old Testament. The New Testament Church no longer has to carry around the ark, and if we were to do this, then all of the rules and regulations concerning how the ark was fashioned and especially how it was to be borne would also have to be applied, not to mention the manner of the sacrifice, etc?

Many scriptures confirm this but in particular I will quote Galatians 3:8-14 KJV:

Galatians 3:8-14 KJV

6) Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

7) Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

8 ) And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

9) So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

10) For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

11) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

12) And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

update 9/17/2007 9:02AM:
2thehilt has captured another issue in this. Below is the comment with scripture based commentary from 2thehilt.

In this video, I noticed that ?Dr.? Bynum was placing herself in the role of the priest that had to go before God, on behalf of the people. (see Exodus 30:1-10, Leviticus 16:1-16)

First of all, if we were still under the law, the role of priest would have been filled by a man. (Exodus 28:1, Exodus 28:4, Exodus 29:9, Exodus 31:10, Exodus 39:41, etc) There is a consistent reference to ?Aaron and his SONS. No, mention of daughters (women) filling the role of priest.

There is no longer a need for a priest to go before God on behalf of the people, because Christ?s sacrifice was all-sufficent. (Hebrews 9 (whole chapter)) & (Hebrews 10:1-14)

update 9/17/2007 9:17AM:
This is going great and the true Lord God and His Son Jesus Christ are being glorified. AndyB, is making his first comment here and comes out the gates strong. Below is the comment with scripture based commentary from AndyB.

The only scripture that she mentioned in this clip (and subsequently used as justification for building her new facility) is Proverbs 4:7, quoting it as:

in all thy getting, get understanding.

(from the KJV)

She claims that it is ?the wisdom of the Lord? that this new place be build so that she can ?stay safe within the confines of the property?.

Let?s assume, just for a moment, that this is a proper application of Proverbs 4:7. Here?s the full verse from the NIV:

Proverbs 4:7 NIV

7) Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.

?Though it cost all YOU have, get understanding.? If construction of a new building on this multi-acre, lakefront property for the purpose of having a new posh prayer pad is truly the ?wisdom of the Lord? for Ms. Bynum, it should be HER resources that go into it – not her ?covenant-connected partners?. That?s even after bending-over backwards to fit her meaning and interpretation into the context of the verse.

update 9/17/2007 9:32AM:
Fourpointer comes with an on point comment. Below is the comment with scripture based commentary from Fourpointer.

The threshing floor is where she goes to “touch God for the nation.” Touch God?

John 1:18 NKJV

18 ) No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

(quote below from Bynum)

And you know I take pride in that threshing floor.

That may be part of her problem right there. Since when does one “take pride” in their worship?

There are so many scriptures for this. I’ll use the most famous one.

Proverbs 16:18 NKJV

18 ) Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

(quote below from Bynum)

I’m being asked not to go there (the threshing floor) because normally I spend the night on the threshing floor.

And I guess God can’t hear her if she prays anyplace else. Besides, what is this about “the threshing floor?” Jesus said–

Matthew 6:6 KJV

6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Notice the box in the lower left corner of the screen. She seems to be almost bragging about how she prays. Jesus warns us not to be proud in our prayers.

Luke 18:11 KJV

11) The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

What’s this about having the “Ark of the Covenant” and “prayer shawls”? Has she even read a Bible? The Ark was a symbol!

Hebrews 8:4-5 NKJV

For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. …

And that’s just in the first 5 minutes! Then she goes on to say how she can’t afford the $200,000 to build it on her own! $200,000?? She could come up with that in her sleep! Why doesn’t she just ask “Bishop” Jakes for the money? Why does “Doctor” Bynum have to go asking her sheeple for the money? Why not just sell that diamond bracelet on her wrist? That ought to get the job done.

update 9/17/2007 12:17PM:
Well I was not sure if the first 5 comments would be all posted, but the first 5 are all of the high quality sound doctrine I hoped the Lord had lead us all to regarding this matter. And this proves there is one faith that rest on sound doctrine. While many don’t get it we see the Lord is showing the truth to His own and we are able to speak against Bynum’s game with a unified voice with the same source as the foundation for our position, rightly divided scripture. Art123 has the 5th comment for this post, but please keep up the comments, because although no more will be part of the main body of this post there are people who need this. We need more saints breaking down the truth like this all over the Internet. Below is the comment with scripture based commentary from art123.

To start, Bynum is a twice divorced adulturess whom violated the seventh commandment of Moses in which Christ fulfilled in Luke 16:18, concerning marriage and divorce. Secondly, she violated the proper ordinances of the church in 1 Corinthians 14:33-40 in which women are supposed to be silent and the twist to the same scripture in verse 37, doesn?t she claim to be a prophetess of God? Is this so called prophetess following the commandments of God? Why do you need 30 acres of land to be in the presence of God. Christ stated in Luke 17:20-21 that the kingdom of heaven is within you. Lastly, she violates Revelation 22:18 by doing something that was already done and recorded by our Lord by his blood and sacrifice, not hers. The book of Hebrews tells the whole story. She blasphemes His name and puts Him to shame for Hebrews 6:4-6 speaks of it. In all that she does, contrary to scriptures, she shows no repentance at all for she is a church rebel. Bynum is just another snake or may I say, Jezebel up to her old tricks again so I wouldn?t take her seriously and true, she does have a pride issue.

What God-fearing servant has a photographer on hand to take pictures of them during their intimate conversations with God???

  8. IndependentConservative Says:

What God-fearing servant has a photographer on hand to take pictures of them during their intimate conversations with God???

Exactly. I really was amused by her facial expressions and all her rolling and grabbing of cloths. She really knows how to put on a “show”.

Can you imagine what that room smells like after she does all that show-piece rolling, crying and sweating 😆 ?

And whatever it smells like to our noses, in the nostrils of God, given she’s trying to replace the work of His Son (which makes her a false christ by the way), it smells even worse!

  9. redman Says:

I don’t know what to say. What circumstances? Wisdom? Is he gonna hunt her down and what not? Independent I don’t know any scripture to talk about this nonsense.

    Found this today: http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail?contentId=4381458&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=1.1.1

Looks like Junie B. actually stepped in and defended Weeks when the bellman tried to intervene.

  11. IndependentConservative Says:

Praiser4Life – After reviewing that latest Fox 5 Atlanta video, it looks to me like the bellman was ready to possibly hurt or kill Weeks and Bynum prevented that. I say on that she did the right thing, to prevent any more beatings than had already occurred. Although she should not have tried to keep the incident from police afterwards. But we know it’s probably not the first time she tried to hide information regarding Weeks beating on someone.

The police report says Bynum told the bellman to stop when the bellman was “chastising” Weeks for beating her. Bynum says that “chastisement” was in the form of threats to kill Weeks.

I think that it’s very possible that the bellman was caught up in the emotion of it all and possibly was going to take things from simply ending the fight to possibly taking the fight to Weeks himself. That would have gone one step too far.

Now, what do you think about this latest scam Bynum has put together 🙂 ?

  12. Praiser4Life Says:

You don’t need a “threshing floor” to pray for people or for God to hear your prayers. That’s a bunch of crap. With all that property she claims she has you would think she would have enough space already, but obviously not.

With all her business ventures you would think she would have the money to build it. She claimed at her conference that she had a multi-million dollar deal on the table. It never ceases to amaze me what level these vipers will stoop to just to get money out of the hands of the saints. They are making merchandise of the body of Christ just like the Word declares.

These charlatans consistently beg for money from people when they have the financial ability to take care of the situation themselves. They proclaim how God has abundantly blessed them with houses, property, and cars, but still find a way to get money from the sheeple.

It’s disgusting and I pray that the saints wake up and discern what’s really going on with these celebrity preachers. They not only deceive others but they deceive themselves as well.

How true indeed! She’s saying, “I know I’ve got more money than my whole congregation put together, but I don’t feel like spending one thin dime on this new project. Give me your money instead. Mm’k?”

You know what it sounds like? 2nd Samuel 17:1-4–“There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children…a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock…but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.” Granted, it’s not an EXACT paralell. But Profitess Juanita does sound like the rich one who is stealing from the poor.

  14. art123 Says:

If you were to interview or ask any cop how do they feel about getting involved in domestic disputes, many would tell you quickly they do not like it because the couple end up turning against you. They will tell you that their job is to enforce the law so they do. Back in the days, the judicial system and law enforcement would take domestic disputes lightly. After public and national reports of women being shot up and killed or they kill the man, like in the recent national case of a preacher’s wife whom killed her husband, now they don’t take abuse as lightly.

fourpointer – The scripture you noted about the rich man, the poor man and his lamb is from 2 Samuel 12:1-4 not 2 Samuel 17:1-4, but the juicy part comes in verses 5-15 🙂 .

But unlike David, I can’t say I’ve seen Bynum as a woman after God’s own heart. Just the same, she could learn a thing or two from the words God gave to Nathan, are REAL prophet.

  16. Yvette Says:

I really appreciate what you do in sounding the alarm about these deceivers. As I was watching the video all I could feel was sadness and anger. There is no doubt what she is doing is wrong. Within the first minute she starts mentioning about ‘sowing a seed’, then in the second minute she outright asks for the ‘seed’. The begging part lasts a little over 5 min. With the rest being music to further help in the deception. So I went on a hunt and these are the verses I found concerning false prophets:
    Deuteronomy 18:20
    Deuteronomy 18:22
    Ezekiel 13 (the whole chapter)
    Matthew 24:11
    Matthew 24:24
    2 Peter 2:1
    1 John 4:1

    Revelation 2:19-21 (KJV)
    18And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

I know that old ladies will go into their social security money and give to her never once questioning her. God says we are to test the prophets to judge if prophesies are true. Her methods are those of a snake oil salesman.

  17. fourpointer Says:

fourpointer – The scripture you noted about the rich man, the poor man and his lamb is from 2 Samuel 12:1-4 not 2 Samuel 17:1-4,

    Yeah, typo. My bad.

  18. KyleNYC Says:

Luk 18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

Luk 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

Luk 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Luk 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Luk 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when [his] disciples saw [it], they rebuked them.

Luk 18:16 But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Luk 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

  19. Moe Says:

I was making a comparison of what a real threshing floor looks like http://www.crivoice.org/phototour/pthresh.html and what the “threshing Floor” looks like at the unsafe place where she used to pray. I don’t imagine hers will look this this one nor will she roll all over the floor on a real one cuz he white outfit might get dirty. Also can someone explain the significance of the prayer shawl, and the “gold plated wall” with your name on it?

I bet she gets all the money she needs anf them some.

  20. IndependentConservative Says:

Moe, good find on the real threshing floor picture. All Bynum does is a show, the rolling, the cloths are all show. All she needed was a bull or goat to make it complete.

I think the gold plated wall is a play on the vanity and idolatry she hopes her followers will embrace. To have their name in gold on the wall of “Bynum”.

She’s becoming a real “face” for domestic violence. While other battered women have to live in shelters or struggle to find a place away from an abuser, she’s sitting on tens of acres of land. For security of course 😀 😆 . In all this she “forgives” and “won’t break the covenant” 🙄 .

Why won’t she share a little of that land with the sisters she claims to stand for now? Why isn’t she building a place for them? Oh, but she’ll “pray” for them once the new wing (so-called threshing floor) is funded and built. The false christ Bynum, who acts like she can approach the Mercy Seat on man’s behalf, with her faux ark of the covenant on her so-called threshing floor. (It’s sacrilege for her to do such things given what we know from scripture now of how Christ is the ONLY one who is worthy! See: Hebrews 9:11-14. We ONLY have access to the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ, John 14:6.) She stands on the wrong side of James 2:14-26.

  21. mskayty Says:

Next thing you know, “Prophetess” Bynum will beseech her followers to fund her much needed “chariot of fire,” which loosely translates into her very own jumbo jet. She’ll tell her “sheeple” that she needs it to run back and forth and conference with God on their behalf without having to use her frequent flier miles. *snicker*

  22. Moe Says:

I did find a reference to the threshing floor in the new testament.

Matthew 3:12 “His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

So by some stretch of the imagination could her rolling around on the floor be her winnowing fork, and …..oh never mind I was trying to figure out how she could justify the threshing floor act.

  23. robin Says:

Given all of those “poses” she struck for the camera and all of that rolling around, etc., maybe it should be called “the thrashing floor” instead of the “the threshing floor”.

I don’t see what’s so special about the place. Quite frankly it looked like she had simply moved the furniture in her living room against the walls and then spread out some sheets on the floor. For this she needs donations????? And unless the floor is made of 14K gold, all she has to do is tell dude who installed the first floor to come back and do his stuff again in the new spot. (But then she wouldn’t be able to collect all of that lovely money, would she?)

  24. alady1969 Says:

    Moe…
Thanks for the link for the threshing floor, I’ve been trying to locate what an actual one looked like, because I knew it wasn’t no were near the hardwood floor JB rolled around on. Because if that was the case I have hardwood floors, no golden plated walls. But I have hardwood floors.

  25. mrs.tphillips Says:

Bynum’s motivation is money. So I’d just like to add (in context) 1 Timothy 6:3-10 –

3If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

6But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I wish her followers would really read the Bible. It has been said before and has proven to be true, “Reading is Fundamental.”

  26. Freedfromthepimps Says:

Fourpointer said she sounds like the rich one stealing from the poor. This woman obviously has no fear or reverence for our God.

He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want. Proverbs 22:16

    Proverbs:22 verses:

22 Do not rob the poor because they are poor or trample on the rights of an oppressed person at the city gate,

23 because the LORD will plead their case and will take the lives of those who rob them.

  27. DestinysLady Says:

My mother raised 4 children while dodging the fists and verbal insults of my alcoholic father. My mother stayed not because she was concerned about how it would look to the church, nor did she care if she would ever find someone to love her. She stayed because she had no where to go with no job and 4 children. SHE IS THE FACE OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – Not a preacher soliciting $200K to buy a new house (threshing floor). Next time Juanita wants a bottle of Chanel I guess she’ll rename it “Anointing Oil.” Her behavior mocks God and is an embarassment to the Body of Christ.

  28. art123 Says:

Bynum has 30 acres of land but did she count the 30 pieces of silver?

  29. Yvette Says:

Maybe she removed the video because she got the money she conned,,er correction,, said would be a ‘seed’ for her new building. Or perhaps she felt convicted and realized what she was doing was wrong. But that remains to be seen. Although there is a third option. perhaps ‘Jesus is not the only way’ Oprah told Junie B if she wanted to run in her circle she shouldn’t go begging for something she can do herself.
