So I turned on my TV back on 9/3/2007, to one of the supposedly “Christian” TV networks, the Lack of Divine Inspiration Network. And who did I see on my screen, but none other than Steve Munsey and Morris Cerullo together. On the program called Morris Cerullo School of Ministry, which should be titled Morris’ House of Deception. What I saw was so much an example of 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, that I need to note it here for the benefit of someone who probably watches that program and assumes it’s truth. Maybe this will help them find truth in scripture, instead of looking to those two charlatans.

Basically Munsey was hustling his bogus “atonement” scam. One of his many hustles, where he digs for dead old covenant evidence of an “offering” and uses it against Christians, who have not yet learned to rightly divided old from new covenant scripture. All for their money of course. In fact, Paula White ran the same scam and you can read some really good write ups about that from Primitive Jesus Christology and A Little Leaven.

It is my firm belief, that a core problem with people who support pulpit pimps today is that they have not yet learned how to rightly divide old and new covenant matters. If more saints would take a slow read through the book of Hebrews and study in new covenant scripture how the Lord Jesus Christ and His apostles conducted themselves on earth in flesh, the term “pulpit pimp” might never exists. Because saints would know better than to fall for most of the pimps’ bag of tricks. It would also give saints a greater desire to seek out church assemblies that walk in truth.

So here’s just a little of the scam I saw Steve Munsey running down, with Cerullo cheering it all on.

Give a $350 Atonement offering and it will:
• Change the potential verdict for your loved one that might go to prison.
• Your children will go to church and become saints who deliver prophesy.

There’s just one problem. There is no more such thing as an “atonement offering”. Jesus Christ was the final “atonement offering”.

That’s it right there folks. God sent His Son and He was the greatest atonement offering to END ALL OTHERS.

This means you can’t bring back what was in the old covenant, even if you broadcast it to the world via Cable TV and Satellite.

PEOPLE YOUR MONEY CAN’T BUY YOU FAVORS FROM GOD!

If you have been trying to give someone money because they claimed it would give you some return here on earth from almighty God, as the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ told the sorcerer named Simon, repent because you have allowed your mind to be poisoned and only the truth of the Lord Jesus can save you. All that you can give to God that will grant you anything is your heart, in return for the gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus, the Lord of all.

Repent and follow the Lord Jesus in truth.

Now that we’ve noted what the truth is, let’s see more of what Steve Munsey said:

• You can buy a DVD for more information and Munsey’s “full message”.
• Steve Munsey said:
  

  Money is coming if you won’t sleep through the harvest.

  In other words, pay him and his pimp buddy Morris some money and you’ll strike it rich! Given the truth of scripture we know this is a bogus line from Munsey to take your money.

• Steve Munsey said:
  

  Don’t come to me and tell me the less I have the more spiritual I’ll become, the less I have the more depressed I am. I don’t feel like praising God when I can’t pay my debts and I don’t have any money.

  Munsey denies the truth of Christ, who said the poor are blessed, Luke 6:20-26. Steve Munsey denies this truth because he is not a man who speaks from the truth of scripture, Steve Munsey is not a man who represents the truth of Lord Jesus Christ. Munsey represents a false christ, who had a false atonement and made a false covenant that requires atonement via you giving Steve Munsey and his cronies your money.

• Munsey claimed that giving the money will cause a result where “you shall eat plenty and be satisfied”, playing off Joel 2:26. Given it is old covenant, I guess I could say “go walk in the desert and you will have bread fall from heaven upon you” and make my own play off Exodus 16:4! It would not make me any money, but if I get enough people to pass out in the desert, would it help them learn the difference between old and new covenant?

And since we’re talking about false teacher Morris Cerullo, I just had to include this clip of one of his infamous claims of “healing”.

Avoid false teachers, you can’t buy God.
