Even before she claimed on TBN that she “won’t break the covenant” she had already given her lawyer the go ahead to file divorce papers days earlier.
Why didn’t she tell the truth?
See it all on video below.
(Hat tip to Covina for finding the Fox 5 Atlanta report that I included in that video.)
Some might claim she was not breaking the “covenant” by not speaking ill of Weeks. Last time I checked, marriage is a “covenant”. If Bynum was trying to claim that the “covenant” was to not speak ill of Weeks, she played some VERY CRAFTY word games, to ensure that people who watch TBN would not consider scripture such as:
Mark 10:11-12 (New King James Version)
This will be her 2nd divorce.
1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (New King James Version)
Will she remain single unless she can reconcile with her first husband?
Bynum has played a very tricky game. Giving the impression no divorce was coming on a national broadcast with a network that some claim is “christian”, while knowing an exclusive interview with a local Atlanta news station was set to air where she notes divorce is coming. The local interview aired THE DAY AFTER her big media announcement where she also avoided giving any appearance that divorce was on her mind. While she had it all in the works. She flooded the media with talk that said nothing of what she really had planned and only mentioned the divorce to Fox 5 Atlanta, the same network that has been finding out most things all along and probably would have gotten wind of the divorce on their own. Or has Team Bynum been tipping off Fox 5 Atlanta all along?
Now it’s about Bynum’s “destiny”. Bynum is obviously following some “god” I’ve never heard of, because my God never instructed that he desired a saint to use deception and multiple divorces. This is the woman who tries to sell God. So I know her “god” is NOT my GOD.
Bynum is also planning to team up with Barack Obama and Oprah. We know Obama is far from actually living like a Christian. And his pastor runs a racist cult. While Oprah Winfrey does not see Jesus Christ as the One and Only True means to salvation and has stated such.
These are the folks Juanita “destiny” Bynum will be hanging out with now. She’s playing the victim advocate role. Given her milking of the vulnerable all these years and never once saying it was wrong. We know this is just another one of Bynum’s stunts for fame and fortune. Advocacy groups should not use a woman who has lied to so many saints and scammed the poor and vulnerable, as the spokesperson for anything. She has proven she is not honest when it comes to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who abuses that is sure to abuse all that they touch for the sake of personal gain.
Meanwhile, Thomas Weeks has issued a statement of his own. He apologies to all Christians and so on… If he’s a true upstanding Christian, he’ll read 1 Timothy 3 accept that he failed the qualifications to be a church leader long ago and step down. But that won’t happen. These are just 2 pimps playing games for the media and all who continue to fall for them.
update 9/6/2007 11:23AM: Since it was late when I put the video together, I just noticed that the first clip (audio with the wedding photo) in the video above does not have everything that I was trying to include in it. Please watch the entire first clip below.
I think that will help you get the full picture of what I’m saying here. Notice she said:
I ain’t saying no vows by faith, I done walked through them vows…until DEATH (screamed) do us part, even if we kill each other.
Well she did admit she’s not a woman of “faith”.
update 9/6/2007 12:57PM: Someone informed me of this most interesting piece of video with footage of Bynum. I’m not going with the whole “Weeks was setup” notion, but this is an interesting item to be aware of. She made it pretty clear she was going into something outside the church.
update 9/6/2007 1:28PM: AJC.com reports that Bynum has filed for divorce. Weeks is taking the position that he is against a divorce.
