If Michael Vick killed 100 animals, guess what. Zero of those animals has a soul that the Lord Jesus died on the cross for. Jesus died and was raised from the dead to save the sins of human beings including Michale Vick. I’ve already said that under man’s law Vick should do time and I would not mind if he receives the maximum sentence under the guidelines of his plea agreement. But Vick says he’s accepted the Lord Jesus. If true, his sins are forgiven and he will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, no matter how deep anyone wants to cast him into hell.
John 3:16-21 (New King James Version)

By no other name can a man be saved! Only by true faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Via La Shawn Barber, I found this text article and the video below that was posted on HotAir.
The bottom line is that if Vick is telling the truth, it will show because he will honestly move to change his ways for the better.
I’m sure Michael Vick’s grandfather is happy to hear this news, that his grandson wants to turn his life around. Watch the video of an interview with Vick’s grandfather here. I think that was a most interesting interview. And if Vick’s grandfather does not know the Lord Jesus Christ, maybe this will help him see the truth. His grandfather does sound like a man who knew Vick was headed for trouble.
If Vick’s statements are true and he was called to the Lord, he will have faith enough to do the will of the Lord.
James 2:14-26 (New King James Version)

Pray Vick is sincere and does not get mixed up with any of the pulpit pimps, because if he gets mixed up with any of these folks he could end up in even WORSE shape.
Someone telling the truth to Lakewood Church and trying to help them.
Obviously they prefer the false doctrine of Joel Osteen, but the brother on that corner did a good work in trying to help them.
Hat tip Christianitywatch.
Gotta be honest, many of us were suspecting although not saying it loudly, that Mr. Armstrong might be a little bit of a sensationalist. A bit into getting his name out there. Although I want saints to be aware of pulpit pimps, it seems Mr. Armstrong is hurting the integrity of his own efforts.
If you recall in this previous post I included a mailing from Armstrong, where he said the following about being dumped from Streaming-no-faith.
…
Armstrong said that the conversation went well with both parties. Streaming Faith and Armstrong were able to make a mutual agreement: Since Streaming Faith is a religious based business and most of the ministries that are on Streaming Faith are defrauding and deceiving believers and non-believers, it would best that their business relationship ends. Armstrong wants to thank Streaming Faith for their support and understanding and all of his viewers that watched the show.
…
You would think he was thanking God he would be separated from the wolves.
Now he has gone from feeling the separation from Streaming-no-Faith was a good idea and mutual agreement, to filing a lawsuit. I just got a mailing from Armstrong which notes the following:
National Talk Show host Reuben Armstrong files multi million dollar law suit against Streaming Faith for Racial Discrimination and Breach of Contract
|
I can only say that I pray Armstrong reconsiders and takes the more saintly approach:
Matthew 5:43-48 (New King James Version)
|
If Reuben Armstrong had never said what he stated in his previous press release, I probably would have never made this post, or if I made this post it might be slightly more supportive of Armstrong. However, not only is Armstrong taking the road that is less saintly, his actions conflict with his own previous words.
I’m removing myself from his mailing list, so this will probably be my last post about Reuben Armstrong unless something changes.
I considered going to Armstrong in private about this and not making a post, but honestly since this is all playing out in public and there is really a play for book sales involved, I felt it best to speak openly. If you feel I’m wrong in my approach, please let me know. I never wanted to have to post this, but you need to know the truth and he’s been open about his actions, so I don’t feel bad commenting in the open about them.

I know Randy and Paula White are divorcing. A detailed post is forthcoming.
Hey folks, the bottom line is that the prosperity doctrine talk is garbage and the evidence is clear.
Also, you who have been trying to reach Melvin’s blog Pulpit-Pimps.org, know the site has been hard to reach the past couple days. Melvin assures me that it is being worked on. Basically, all of us who had old posts and even new ones about Bynum and Weeks are being SLAMMED with traffic, the likes of which we have NEVER seen before. People are wondering how a couple they THOUGHT was so “holy” has fallen like this. Thankfully the Lord has willed by His own design that this blog has been able to remain online. It had a short hiccup once, but otherwise has remained up. And if not for the Lord willing many of us to spend time at Pulpit-Pimps.org we would not know how terrible the false doctrine has been and still is. So as the Lord wills, we will remain happy and content, because we’re not under the delusion of false doctrines. We thank Him in all things, no matter if a web server is up or down. All the web sites with copies of the Bible are up and running, so spend time there
.
The prosperity doctrine is a lie, study scripture and embrace Christ centered preaching instead. If you want to remain with the lie, go get yourself fleeced at IGOC 2007.
I want you to consider these scriptures:
Jesus tossing the money changers out of the temple:
John 2:13-22 (New King James Version)
|
Now, we who believe on the Lord Jesus, the saints are the body of Christ. With the Lord Jesus Christ as the head we follow. The temple is the body of Christ, the saints, the church. See: 1 Corinthians 3:16 and Hebrews 9:11-15.
The apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ named Paul, proclaiming that he and those with him DO NOT peddle the word of God, that was given to them freely. They did not make merchandise of the truth they freely received.
2 Corinthians 2:17 (New King James Version)
|
The Lord Jesus Christ notes that we should not worry about earthly gain.
Matthew 6:25-34 (New King James Version)
|
Christ made it clear that we are to seek heavenly rewards, the “money bags which do not grow old” noted in Luke 12:29-34.
Now knowing the truth that is clear in scripture, read the following article and Lord willing, the problems with the mentioned event will be obvious to you.
International Gathering of Champions Expects 160,000
|
Notice, big names, merchandise for sale, no mention of Christ. And that article was from the publication “Christian Today”, so the report is not from an outlet that claims a secular title. If the meeting had a focus on the truth of Christ instead of money and wealth, I’m sure it would have been appropriately noted. Most of the people attending are from the Western world, the wealthiest nations on earth. Looking for improved lives? Excuse me, but the speakers and attendees are FAR from wondering where their next meal will come from.
Consider how saints in dire circumstance received relief:
Hebrews 10:36-39 (New King James Version)
|
Notice, the promise of the coming of the Lord and hope in their souls being saved.
I won’t say anymore. I can only pray that the Lord has opened eyes and hearts to the truth presented here. Those the Lord has opened the heart of will receive it. Those with hardened hearts…well I guess you’ll either attend or hope to attend IGOC 2007.
