If Michael Vick killed 100 animals, guess what. Zero of those animals has a soul that the Lord Jesus died on the cross for. Jesus died and was raised from the dead to save the sins of human beings including Michale Vick. I’ve already said that under man’s law Vick should do time and I would not mind if he receives the maximum sentence under the guidelines of his plea agreement. But Vick says he’s accepted the Lord Jesus. If true, his sins are forgiven and he will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, no matter how deep anyone wants to cast him into hell.

By no other name can a man be saved! Only by true faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Via La Shawn Barber, I found this text article and the video below that was posted on HotAir.
The bottom line is that if Vick is telling the truth, it will show because he will honestly move to change his ways for the better.
I’m sure Michael Vick’s grandfather is happy to hear this news, that his grandson wants to turn his life around. Watch the video of an interview with Vick’s grandfather here. I think that was a most interesting interview. And if Vick’s grandfather does not know the Lord Jesus Christ, maybe this will help him see the truth. His grandfather does sound like a man who knew Vick was headed for trouble.
If Vick’s statements are true and he was called to the Lord, he will have faith enough to do the will of the Lord.
James 2:14-26 (New King James Version)

Pray Vick is sincere and does not get mixed up with any of the pulpit pimps, because if he gets mixed up with any of these folks he could end up in even WORSE shape.

I pray that Vick is sincere and that he’s not doing it just so people can feel sorry for him. If he is sincere I hope someone will tell him to stay away from TBN when he gets out.

Praiser4Life - He even needs to avoid the pimps while behind bars. Jakes pumps his stuff directly into some prisons and I’m sure they’ll be reaching out to him if they feel it’s beneficial to their empires.

Thanks for this post. I pray that Michael is sincere and the Lord sends a true minister of the gospel to disciple him.
It is certain that the pimps will vie for Michael’s millions and prey on his vulnerability while he is incarcerated. I can just see the $$$ in their eyes now.
Although I don’t condone what he did, I feel sick that he could become a victim of the vipers who care nothing for his soul - only his millions.

You know, I vividly remember being lost in my sins. I remember it with much clarity, simply because it is the most humiliating thing I know to keep before me, as I experience the love of God as wrought through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is the revelation of John Bradford’s statement, “there, but for the grace of God, go I”.
Every believer should see themselves in Vick today. We should see that, if not for the grace of God, we are apt to make such choices, and suppose that we could “redeem ourselves”. (For some reason, I just cannot block that portion of Vick’s statement out of my head.)
Sadly enough, and right now, Vick is a prime target for the wiles of the likes of the most prominent pulpit pimps. They want to comfort him in his sins; they want to tell him that so long as he spoke repentance from his lips, he needs to do no more. Heck, they’re even wanting to tell him that, his money will not be lost so long as he speaks to it. ::rolling eyes::
Prayerfully, what Vick has, or needs, is to hear a, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” type message. I believe that his actions, and his standing at the brink of his own demise, has made him hear the voice of God. As with my own life, may he hold to the redemptive Hands of our Savior, Who came and died to save him.

I can’t help but wonder if whether or not this is a publicity stunt but if not, bless him.

I have to say that I really am hoping and praying that this is real for Vicks!
Yes..It’s perhaps true he only regrets that he has been caught but perhaps a few months to a year in the slammer will awaken this young man that has been blessed and gifted so much!!
I honestly beleive that their has been to much hatred thrown at this man….I mean..at least he wasn’t killing humans right? Of course we all love God’s critters and what he did was horrible….but lets not go overboard…
And I say this as a staunch law and order man…and I am definately not a Falcon’s fan…ha ha ha….
I know most of the world will mock his conversion but if it is real, this young man has gained everything even if he has lost the world…

I’ve heard an interview with Brenda(his mom). Seen the interview with his grandfather and both seem sincere in their comments. Along with given an insight of the type of person he is. To me it appears that this is a young man who was raised well, set and made goals out of his life and now is faced with a terrible mistake. I agree with most that what he did was cruel and he should be held accountable. Doing what the penalty by law requires. I to pray he seeks the truth(Gods word) and gain sight to the people, places, and things he surrounds himself with in the future. Although I feel athelic are over paid, banning him from football may be a bit overboard.
