Hey folks, the bottom line is that the prosperity doctrine talk is garbage and the evidence is clear.
Also, you who have been trying to reach Melvin’s blog Pulpit-Pimps.org, know the site has been hard to reach the past couple days. Melvin assures me that it is being worked on. Basically, all of us who had old posts and even new ones about Bynum and Weeks are being SLAMMED with traffic, the likes of which we have NEVER seen before. People are wondering how a couple they THOUGHT was so “holy” has fallen like this. Thankfully the Lord has willed by His own design that this blog has been able to remain online. It had a short hiccup once, but otherwise has remained up. And if not for the Lord willing many of us to spend time at Pulpit-Pimps.org we would not know how terrible the false doctrine has been and still is. So as the Lord wills, we will remain happy and content, because we’re not under the delusion of false doctrines. We thank Him in all things, no matter if a web server is up or down. All the web sites with copies of the Bible are up and running, so spend time there 
.
The prosperity doctrine is a lie, study scripture and embrace Christ centered preaching instead. If you want to remain with the lie, go get yourself fleeced at IGOC 2007.

No kidding! I usually average about 40 hits/day. I had 168 by noon yesterday, and finished with over 550!

Unlike Paula White, unlike Randy White, unlike Juanita Bynum, unlike Thomas Weeks, Gaius lived and taught truth. He didn’t divorce, then remarry, or beat a wife while claiming to be a minister of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This was John’s prayer for Gaius, not a statement from God that you will be rich.

The entire bible is from the oracles of God, not just written by man no, no, no, it’s deeper than that, there is a spritual gift known as the prophetic; which is in this case the ability take doctrine that is targeted at a certain people in bible days, is for what we need today. These people (Bynum, Weeks, the Whites) teach that if you follow Christ, you will never have any problems in your health/finances/marriage/etc. If you do, they’ll say you have some sin to repent of, or that you are under a curse, ’cause Satan cain’t touch ya. So, do these prosperity couples have some sin they need to repent of, or are they under a curse?

Perhaps instead of trying to sread their empire and expand their financial portfolio, they should have stayed closer to home, and kept their marriage from falling apart. And don’t try and say that their marriage falling apart is Satan trying to keep them from doing God’s work.
Their efforts to expand their “ministry” was NOT the work of GOD. He would not have led them to do something that would have caused them to talk about divorce. Malachi 2:16–”The LORD God of Israel says that He hates divoce, for it covers one’s garments with violence.”

Hotpie, do you read everything else in life the way you read the Bible?? I mean, do you just pick and choose words out of context and twist them when you read recipes?? Do you do that when you read directions to get to the newest “Breakthrough” convention?? Clueless is as clueless does.

You are correct in saying that if one is a child of GOD then Satan cannot touch your soul. If you are TRULY sealed to GOD by the Holy Spirit, then no one–not even Satan–can break that seal.
However, Satan CAN ABSOLUTELY touch our stuff, and even our bodies. Don’t forget, GOD let Satan take away from Job his house, his cattle, sheep, and EVEN HIS CHILDREN AND SERVANTS!! Then, GOD let Satan touch Job’s body with boils from head to toe.
But, Satan HAD TO ASK PERMISSION from GOD. Satan does not have ANY authority over anything on the earth, and NEITHER DOES MAN, contrary to what many of the “prosperity” preachers say. Matthew 28:18–”And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.’”
And as far as taking care of our needs, listen to what Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-26–”Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” In other words, life is about more than what we put in our stomachs or hang on our backs. If you have to go without a few things that you DON’T NEED, don’t worry, because GOD will give you what you DO NEED. He feeds the birds of the air, and aren’t you worth a little bit more than a pigeon?
You see, so many people think that if you don’t have a nice house, and a nice car, and if every day is a struggle just to pay the bills, something must be wrong. But is it? Jesus said we will always have the poor with us.
Matthew 6:31-32–”Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”
Life is about more than just the things we have. Luke 12:15–”…one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” GOD may prosper some people financially, so that they can help those who don’t have as much. But we cannot go around claiming that just because He promised financial wealth to ONE PERSON, ONE TIME, that we can “claim” that promise for ourselves, and demand that GOD give us what we ask for.

You also cite the old tithe scam. You need a lot of help. How about you read this and learn something.
Now I KNOW your talk about prosperity is bogus. I was in Eddie Long’s club for 7 years. Yea “7″, special number especially for you folks who play spiritual lotto. And I know it’s bogus. hotpie504 is gone. Actually she made a pretty silly comment of this type yesterday and either she made it to the wrong post or it came in for the wrong post. Either way I banned her and her nonsense then. She opened up a new account and I allowed her in, but as you can see, she was asked to lighten up on the CAPS and she could not. Besides, she’s a drone of the false teaching and was on her way out anyway. All who continue to embrace false teaching and false teachers get the boot on 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 grounds.
I let them sometimes go for a little bit, offer them the truth and if they keep it up, show them the door!

What scripture did she find that in? The apostles didn’t have, they had given theirs, they just told others to help.

Hey HP………I graduated from Rhema while Ken Hagin was still alive. Nice try. I learned at the feet of the masters………Hagin, Copeland, Savelle, Browne, Kaseman, Copeland.
The Moonies are prosperous too……….so are the Scientologists and the Mormons. You really want to go that route?? THINK.

Did Paul did not write the Book of Ephesians from a lofty palace suite overlooking the Medeterranean Sea?
No. He wrote it from a prison. Not a prison like today. It was a 1st century European prison, where:
1.they didnt always feed you.
2.Disease was rampant,
3.oh yea and they didt like Christians too much either!
Im not saying that Christians gotta be broke. But I will pray proverbs 30:8 and tell God that my desire is to have “food that is my portion.” And I will be content with what I have.
I have attended Word-faith churches and I have never heard a sermon, or a mentioning of Proverbs 30:8.

I am absolutely outraged that Thomas Weeks would solicit funds on his website during “this difficult time.” He beat up his wife, Juanita Bynum, and now he’s asking for money, trying to take advantage of the fact that someone, somewhere feels sorry for him!
This man must be psychotic to think it is appropriate for him to ask people for money at this time. I am completely insulted by the request. It shows that he is totally detached from reality. The sad thing is that silly people will actually send money to him. This story keeps getting worse by the hour.

This certainly is a most obvious case of 2 Timothy 3:1-9 and God calling His own to Himself. Some who never started to understand it before are realizing it now and WILL turn towards sound doctrine. Many may stay with the pimps, but some are going to come to the truth.
Lower ranking false teachers, such as so-called pastor Stephen F. Smith, probably privately see this as a moment where some of the upper echelons of pimpdom fall down and give him an opportunity to move up a notch. He’s playing his role in hopes that the big pimps will let him address their sheeple and slice him a piece of the big pimp pies.

I wanted to acknowledge and thank you for one of the YouTube videos you listed in this particular article, with regard to Christ-centerd preaching. It was just what I needed to hush one of those, “well, MY ministry” type folks. When he stepped off his soap-box, I asked him, “did Jesus have to die to make what you said true?” I think the conversation was near over at that point, because all I could hear was him sucking all the air out of the room.
Jesus didn’t have to die to give us the Prosperity, the Breakthrough, or the Earthly Dominion Gospel; His sacrifice wasn’t necessary for God to reign down material wealth on man. His salvific work was necessary to restore our death-deserving lives back to the Father. When we lose sight of this all encompassing truth, we lose the Gospel, period.

Hey guys, its Kyle. IC glad to see PP is still on the web. For a second there I thought Melvin converted to WoF. LOL! Just kidding. As for the Whites divorcing I was not aware of this. I knew from an article that they rarely lived together anymore but now it has finally come to this. No big shocker seeing that Bynum did the same thing. I have a question for you IC. Although not directly related to pimping it is related to bad/false doctrine. Did you see the article about the memoirs of Mother Teresa and that fact that she never knew nor felt the presence of God in her ENTIRE LIFE. Although not shocking considering Catholicism’s beliefs it nonetheless proves that truth is paramount. This however does relate to the WoF/Prosperity gospel. On one hand we see that relentless “works” cannot save you nor does relentless unfettered praise and gibberish imply true indwelling of the Holy Ghost and salvation. Mother Teresa and Paula White could not be more different yet are equally hell bound promoting false Christianity. The only similarities is there roots in paganism. We know that the Catholic Church was heavily influenced by Roman Paganism of the day. Also, we know that the WoF/Prosperity doctrine has pagan roots i.e., God Man. You see, we are up against something greater than mere apostasy. We who are the purveyors of truth are being squeezed in by blasphemous teachings which cloak themselves in forms of Christianity yet are paganistic within. This is why mere pointing out the lies like the gentleman did at Osteen’s Church, what we do on PP, and what you do here will have little effect. I’m not implying that this is not good. On the contrary. What we do IS good and correct. What I am saying is that I don’t think we can have much of an impact on people who are following a cult. Bad doctrine is one thing but cultic practices are a whole different level. These people are blindly following Pimps based solely on earthly attainment, hyper stimulation, and man worship. Like I said we must continue to contend for the faith yet sadly not get our hopes up high.

I did see the some of the news about Teresa over at a blog run by our brother in the Lord.
I will say that I was surprised by that news. It was always my hope that maybe she was one who might have figured out the truth, but it appears she may not have. It was mentioned that she sought counseling, but I don’t know if that had a root in faith in Jesus Christ.
We know things like praying to Mary are not going to save the soul. And I’ve noted that to Catholics who try to spin what they are doing into something that is Christian, but it’s totally contrary to scripture. Totally opposite from the truth.
I just tell the truth the Lord has willed me to know and those who are the Lord’s will hear His call.

Nigel here. I was getting really worried. PP has become a staple part of my daily diet and I was worried, thank God IC is still up. I normally don’t post here but its good to see familiar friends. Thanks IC. Any idea when PP will be back up. Am I also understanding that a flood of hits threww it down? Hi Mel,Gary V & Kyle. Mel I left voicemail for you on your mobile. I was actually worried if you were ok. Take people keep talking to the sheeple.

Yes a flood of traffic was more than Melvin’s site could handle. He’s working on getting things back up. I’ve been offering some assistance. There are some things he’s been needing to do that should prevent all the outages he’s been having.
Melvin is doing fine. He’s still out there fighting the good fight.
When the news of Bynum and Weeks broke, Melvin’s site was #2 in Google when searching on the name Juanita Bynum. If that gives you any idea of the wave of traffic that came his way. He’s pretty much off the map now (no longer in search results) regarding that search term since his site has been down a while.
Once he’s back up, if he does what he should, his blog will be more stable than ever before. He’ll be able to keep it up better with less costs.
