I could wax on about how Gerald F. Griffith is a no good rat and now he’s finally admitted it with a guilty plea in court during his 2nd trial for abusing children.
In sexual abuse case, pastor leaves trail of broken trust
|
OK, so Griffith had already been sentenced to 15 years in a previous case and knew a guilty plea would get him a lighter sentence. So he finally decided to admit the terrible things he’s done and the judge gave him an additional 8 years. I could wax on about how he deserves more, but I want to point out some things other than that in this post.
Check this out:
The woman initially didn’t want to believe her teenage son’s allegations that the pastor she considered a father figure had molested him.
“I asked him over and over, ‘Are you sure?’” she told a Baltimore County judge yesterday, “hoping he would say something that would let me escape this.”
Yesterday, as Gerald Fitroy Griffith pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse, the woman talked of the pain that came with betrayal. Still, some members of the Redemption Christian Fellowship Church in Woodlawn sat behind Griffith during his court hearing — and waved to him.
Do you see, a mother did not want to believe her own child and repeatedly was “hoping he would say something that would let me escape this.” That statement is so terribly disturbing. I never want my children to be abused, but if that were to happen, I certainly won’t be considering my own “escape”. But she did testify in court against the rat, so she did get beyond her disbelief. I just think we parents need to seek an investigation when our children tell us of serious crimes of this sort, because we are the only voice our children have. We can’t be the voice of “disbelief”, but the voice of support and protection.
Now even after there has been one trial with a 15 year sentence, as I knew was the case, THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE STANDING BEHIND GRIFFITH AND WERE WAVING TO THE RAT IN COURT! As I’ve noted previously, without knowing, those are people who put men before the Lord. They are idolaters. They are caught in sin, still refusing to relent of their idolatry, refusing to adhere to 1 Timothy 5:19-21 and no saint should even sit to eat with them.
1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (New King James Version)
|
We saints have liberty to sit and eat a meal with someone who is not saved and we can freely share the message of Christ with them. However, those who have received the message, claim the name of the Lord and embrace evil are the ones to fully excommunicate. Young saints were abused and those who stand with the abuser are still not able to acknowledge that Griffith deserves strong rebuke, not waves.
Now let’s look back at the article.
Circuit Judge Robert N. Dugan said there could no longer be any doubt about Griffith’s guilt.
“If there ever was a false prophet, he sits there,” said the judge, who then sentenced Griffith to eight years in prison.
…
Judge Robert N. Dugan knows that Griffith is a false prophet.
…
Griffith, 41, wearing a thin beard, black Nikes and a light blue prison shirt, showed no reaction as five accusers and a mother of one of them spoke of the impact of his sexual abuse. He declined to offer a statement and spoke softly in response to the judge’s questions.
…
During sessions in which Griffith was supposed to be counseling the youths for emotional problems, he molested them and ordered them to perform sex acts, according to charging documents. The youngest accuser was 15 years old. Some of the victims — who included one female and four males — said they forgave Griffith, even though he has not apologized for the crimes. The female victim noted that Griffith never glanced at the group throughout the hearing.
“Yes, he’s pleaded guilty. But he still won’t be a man and apologize to us,” she said.
…
Yes we are to forgive and still we should keep his cowardly lying false prophet rat body in prison. And it would be best if it were there the remainder of his natural life. Ensuring the safety of children and serving him the punishment he earned does not mean someone who wants to keep him in prison does not forgive him. Those children who have forgiven rat Griffith did not say they want him released. There is a difference between forgiveness and foolishness, those kids are forgiving, not foolish. They forgave him and are not from any published reports trying to take the rat pimp’s money via a civil suit. (I would not care if they did.) But they are wise enough to know he should be punished and kept off the streets.
…
“There was nobody else on Earth I trusted more than him,” one male victim said. He said he initially did not think of the pastor’s actions as molestation but came to realize that what the pastor was doing was wrong. “I lost my best friend, I lost the person I trust,” he said. “The hardest thing in the world [was] I had to stand against friends in the church.”Other victims said they had been shunned by family members and friends who refused to believe the allegations.
Of course if there were not so many who sit up in a church building and put men before God, these children would not be crying about how they had to deal with people who claim to be fellow saints and even family trashing them for telling the truth.
The mother of one of the victims tearfully recalled how she and her son shared personal details during counseling sessions with Griffith.
“I can’t go to another church. I don’t trust another pastor,” she said. “I don’t trust anybody.”
OK, all of you who denounce me for exposing pimps, vultures and vipers. You say I’m running people from the church assemblies. That’s what you’ve told me because of your deluded state and you claim I’m a demon headed for hell. Now you see who REALLY is running them away. The false teachers in the pulpits are the ones running them away, not me. And from the pimps they should run. Run till they find an assembly that walks in truth. This brother in his 50’s is pretty ticked he’s been deceived by false teachers most of his life. He’s avoiding church assemblies too. I pray that in time they all find an assembly walking in truth, there are good ones out there. But my point is, I’m not running anybody away from “church”. I’m showing the truth. If these people got the truth from their church assemblies, they’d never leave. The fact is, although they don’t want to fellowship at the moment, they are still part of “the church”, the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ and not assemblies that put a man before God. They are learning via hard lessons to trust scripture. Pray these victims and their hurt families turn to scripture and lean on the Lord. Maybe some real saints in that area will also come to their aid.
Six church members in suits sat in a row behind the pastor, one clutching a Bible. Several mumbled as the accusers made their statements.
One victim addressed the group, saying, “I feel sorry for them because I’ve been there before.”
“They all know,” the lone female victim said. “They’re still standing with him, and they’re not standing in the truth.”
The judge at one point responded to the notion that Griffith’s supporters still doubted the pastor’s guilt.
“If anyone is, quite frankly, that dumb, you shouldn’t value their views at all,” Dugan said, waving toward the six men sitting behind Griffith.
The men declined to comment after the sentencing.
They are not “men”, they are sheeple, followers and deluded people who should be asking those victims if there is anything they can do to HELP THEM.
And look at this mess:
Irwin told the victims he had advised Griffith not to issue an apology for legal reasons, and added, “He certainly still cares about them.”
…
How sick is that?!!! Griffith abused those children and his lawyer is claiming Griffith “still cares” about them. With any more caring from him, not to mention his sheeple, those poor children would be in even worse shape. Imagine someone abused you and then via their lawyer they claimed they “still care” for you? How sick is that? Very sick! Griffith’s lawyer told him not to apologize because Griffith does not wish to say anything that might be used in a civil suit against him. In all of this, Griffith is still trying to clutch every dollar he can keep hold to. He’s pimped the people of their money and he’s doing all he can to keep every dime he took for himself.
…
As Griffith was led out of the courtroom, he waved to the church members sitting behind him, and several waved back.
Griffith is going to prison, not for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that’s what apostles were locked up for. Griffith is going to prison for abusing young saints. But still, some sheeple “wave” to him. Did they “wave” to the victims? You see who that stable of sheeple really has as their leader. I’m reminded of some words by Christ, that I find fitting for this moment regarding those sheeple:
John 8:44 (New King James Version)
|
Those walking with Griffith and forsaking those children certainly are not walking with the Lord Jesus, regardless of what comes from their mouths. The Lord Jesus said:
Luke 18:16-17 (New King James Version)
|
I dare not be one who forsakes a child who is running from a wolf!
(Hat tip to Lennie, for providing the update on this case. Notice one of Griffith’s deluded sheeple denounced Lennie too.)
