And Truckie_504, I was a member of a church that was part of the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship and Morton would visit often. So I don’t speak about Morton from a position of ignorance about him prior to developing this post. I speak about him from an in-depth knowledge of his doctrine and why it is counter to scripture and counter to the true teachings of the Lord Jesus that we have in the Bible.

Too bad I don’t have the old tapes from these pimps I used to have, or I’d post audio of Morton’s bad teaching from my old personal collection!

IC, that show from BET “Meet the Faith” did a documentary on Morton today and they spoke of Eddie Long. Morton said he is not ashamed of his prosperity and he’s helping people. I remembered when you told a blogger from pulpit-pimps website that many preachers like him is a Matthew 7:22-23 waiting to happen. In this age of apostasy, absolutely.

I have to say, I LOVE this blog. I look forward to reading it everyday. This display is what I am so tired of in the church. I recently left my church (of 5 members including the pastors, mind you) because of things like the misuse of tongues and what seems to me, a lot of New Age methods to get material wealth. I asked my former pastor what constituted the "full gospel" and he replied everything from Genesis to Revelation an answer that left me totally dissatisfied . After a while, I just couldn’t take it. So, is this an example of what full gospel represents?

Wow. That was one of the most appalling messes I’ve seen in quite some time. He might as well just go ahead and start preaching from the Book of Mormon, and complete his apostasy.

It is so sad that so many people are hoodwinked by screaming, yelling, shouting, dancing and organ music. This is what constitutes “preaching” in these “curches.”

I had to shake my head when he got to the part where he said he didn’t want GOD giving stuff to people that doubted. I guess he’s never read the story about Gideon.
