There is also that little matter of Exodus 20:4-5–“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them.” Hence the removal of this passage from Catholic Bibles.
Also, we have the words of the prophet Isaiah, in chapter 8, vv. 19-20–”…should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony!”
Besides, Christ Himself said in Mathhew 6:9–“In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.” Notice, He didn’t say, “pray: My mother in heaven.”
