No to Slave Reparations and No to 2nd Generation Holocaust Reparations Either!

by @ 9:12 pm. Filed under Nuts on Parade

You’ve got the draw the line somewhere and if the actual victim does not get the reparations let it go and do what you must to move on with your life. I guess I could claim I’m a2nd generation Jim Crow survivor and a 6th generation slavery survivor  .

Children of Holocaust Survivors Sue Germany for Psychiatric Care

JERUSALEM ? A group representing thousands of children of Holocaust survivors filed a class-action lawsuit against the German government Monday, demanding that Germany pay for their psychiatric care.

The Israelis, calling themselves second-generation Holocaust survivors, say the scars of the Nazi genocide on their parents have crossed generations. Many still live with an irrational fear of starvation and incapacitating bouts of depression, the lawsuit claims.

The lawsuit marks “the very first time that the German government will be asked to take responsibility and to care for those of the second generation in Israel and indeed, worldwide,” attorney Gideon Fisher said before filing the suit at the Tel Aviv District Court.

In Berlin, the German Foreign Ministry declined comment, but the country was likely to see the suit as a window for an indefinite number of future claims.

You know when the door opens to an indefinite number of future claims, that it’s time to ignore those particular claims.

I’ve got no problem with actual victims receiving reparations, but so many people have a parent that suffered something, that most (if not all) children in the world could sue somebody for something they claim is an issue in their lives due to something that happened to their parents.

Not to mention, once you get beyond the actual victims, the people being asked to pay mostly were not even alive when the original offending act occurred.

Ezekiel 18:20 (New King James Version)

20) The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

I just find that’s a good standard to apply. And we know salvation from sin comes through the Lord Jesus Christ.
