So I went to the NAACP web site, to see what the dying dinosaur was up to. I saw the graphic that I’ve copied below and thought they might be up to something good:
I thought they were going after the big culprits, but it’s a cheap money stunt!
I thought they would be going after the trash rappers, who mostly are Black. Or going after the trash on BET, a network that caters to Blacks. But look at the specific incidents they cite in the early portion of their press release:
NAACP Stop! campaign
|
Notice the FIRST SPECIFIC THING they mention are a couple of tired incidents that were MORE THAN fully addressed. The Don Imus incident, that they road till the man was fired from every job with his name on it. And the Michael Richards incident, which they also road well and Michael Richards probably can’t beg his way into a job today. Both incidents were fully addressed, in my opinion the Imus incident was overdone when compared with things that really matter. The statement following mentions of Imus and Richards is a donation link, to give the NAACP money. Basically saying that this whole “Stop” campaign is not going to “stop” the misguided direction of the NAACP. Because they are not going to address the mess that really shapes the culture Black kids grow into. The Black kids shooting each other in hate, or fornicating and neglecting the babies created (if they don’t outright kill them via abortion) are not listening to Don Imus and never cared about going to see a Michael Richards stand-up routine. They’re seeing and hearing the mess made by and sometimes even produced from start to finish by Black people. The smut makers the kids wear on T-Shirts are Black! And yes it’s very much a parenting problem, but of course the NAACP won’t touch that, the parents are Black too you know.
A little later in the release there are non-specific mentions of other things the NAACP claims to be concerned about:
We must tell the artists and media executives who produce material that fosters a culture of disrespect that by promoting racist ideas and rants, they put their own financial future at risk.
And, at the same time, we must recognize the need for balance within the African American community in regards to what the community deems acceptable in music, film, and other media. Images reflected in songs and music videos that show half-dressed African American women being objectified or demeaned by men, or young African American men as thugs must STOP. These kinds of images promote hurtful and false stereotypes of young African Americans.
…
If you think that means the NAACP will be picketing Jay-Z’s house, don’t count on it! The talk about music, film and other media will be focused on selected lame incidents that they move to sensationalize, like the Don Imus matter. Let me know when they actually go after this guy! But they won’t. This is all nothing more than yet another lame NAACP fund raising stunt.
Die dinosaur die!

Oh Boy! False hopes, false dreams, false prophets and now false pimping organizations. I can clearly see that it will take divine intervention to stop all the fakery and lies or else African-Americans are on a road to TOTAL DESTRUCTION.
