Check out Melvin’s latest post over at Pulpit-Pimps.org. Melvin says about all that needs to be said there. The video is simply a mess. The kind of stuff comedy skits are made of I tell ya! And in the video clip Melvin shows, did you notice the false prophet added a little babble after getting “leaders” to make fools of themselves? Insanity!

That mess is not of the Lord Jesus Christ and draws people under false pretenses! Which means their claim to the Lord will not be sure, because their reason for being there in the first place is not rooted in a true desire to serve the Lord in spirit and truth. If the “leaders” are dancing for a bigger “building” what will the people shout for themselves? Earthly gain spun to claim it’s for Jesus is not fooling God.

For all you prophet seekers from this nut Todd Hall on to Joseph Smith Jr., read and know the truth.

Read the Word and hear from the Lord yourself for a change. He’s not talking garbage about you boosting yourself, but how to humble yourself and reach the lost. Jesus and the apostles didn’t need to own a meeting hall of their own to share the truth. Salvation through Jesus Christ does NOT require a building, or an even bigger building just to share the message. You do have to tell people that they must deny themselves, repent of their sins and follow the commands of the Lord, rather than looking to have an earthly increase.

I say it’s best for us that those folks who were jumping around DON’T have a bigger building. They’d only con you into giving them more money to fund that building and the next bigger building, instead of putting the money towards ministry to the poor.

Think about it, there were plenty of people who were viewed as spiritual leaders when Jesus first came to earth in flesh. And He showed that many of them were deceivers out for personal gain. You’re seeing history repeat it’s self and these deceivers even use the same Bible that shows you how Jesus exposed them the first time around! The next time he comes, it won’t be to provide false teachers more mercy and grace.

I’m not saying all preachers are false and I’m not saying no church should have a building, but you’re seeing much abuse and that’s why ministry to those most in need is neglected. The temple is the body of Christ, as in people who know the Lord, not the building. The temple functions without constructs made by man, so don’t get hung up over the building. A lost soul does not need a man made building to learn about the Lord from, they need someone who is willing to share the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ with them. This is what the church should seek to do in function, not make a bigger building.

update 5/26/2007 1:35PM: So I went to his (Todd Hall’s supposed ministry) web site, flashy as all pimps’ sites are. And I noticed there that he’s running an affiliate form of online mall. It’s not a mall selling/peddling things like Bibles and such, it’s a mall selling all the stuff major corporations have to offer. And under the link on his site he has this message about the mall:

Never mind the tithes he’s pimping out of the people and the “offerings”. Now on top of the money given by people, he’s also taking a cut of online sales of any item you desire. It is supposed to be a web site for the “church”, but is fully engaged in money changing for the “building”. What a mess!
