Check out the audio Bryan has posted over at Hot Air.
Notice that Dobson claims that the cross dresser will say anything to be elected. But of Mitt Romney, when speaking with Laura Ingraham he said.
Since I talked to you, I’ve spent an hour and a half with him and I liked him. I mean he’s very presidential and he’s got the right answers to many many things. I haven’t made a decision yet, but let’s just say he’s still on the list.
You got that? The cult member working in concert with his cult, who has said whatever to get elected his entire political career is “still on the list”. That means (to me) that Dobson will have his arm around Mitt Romney to lead this nation.
I’ve been telling you how many who claim the Christian faith have run to endorse Mitt Romney for President. Some where surprised when Pat Robertson hooked up with Romney. I told you Pat Robertson is a false prophet, so that didn’t surprise me one bit.
I was waiting to see what Dobson would do and I figured he would cave towards Romney slowly. That is exactly what he is doing.
There you have it folks, all Conservative Christian voices with a mic are pulling for Mitt Romney. Never mind the cult and never mind the flip flopping. He’s got an “R” by his name and as usual, he says what sounds good. If some Conservative Christians attaching themselves to the Republican Party was a bad idea, then how much greater a mistake is it to advance a Mormon to lead it? I say a great mistake! Spreading the message of Jesus Christ is not about winning an election.

Aren’t you glad that you live in a country that protects the idiotic comments of somebody like you?
What are you worried about? You think that having a “Cult Member” in the White House will somehow threaten you and your beliefs?

OmahaRon - Are you certain that your soul has access to eternal life through Jesus Christ?
And what is your personal opinion of Joseph Smith Junior?
(It’s my blog, I’ll answer your questions with my own questions whenever I choose.)

1. Yes.
2. No opinion since he has nothing to do with my salvation.
Any other questions?

Given those answers you are not a member of Joseph Smith Jr.’s cult, which we needed to establish prior to any further discussion.
Now about your questions. My comment must not be so idiotic that you would ignore it, because you continue to engage me in dialog. I know you feel something afoul is going on. I guess it’s easier for you to follow the masses and speak ill of a dissenter like myself.
I am worried that the body of Christ is being led to assist in the advancement of a cult. That is the problem with a cult leader being promoted by Christians to lead this nation.
Like Rudy, Mitt has flipped and flopped, saying anything to win an office. But Dobson says that he “likes” Romney. Doesn’t this make Dobson a hypocrite? To take one stance with Rudy’s double-speak, but take another with Romney.
With Mitt Romney, you’ve got the worse of all cases. Not only does Romney flip his position on issues, but he also is helping to advance a cult. A heresy that teaches men will become “god” themselves. That teaches God is only a child of some other “god”, and worked his way up to being “god” from mere flesh and bone. That teaches the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are not God, but that the Father is the child of a “god” and worked his way up, then bore Jesus as a “spirit baby” with one of his many “spirit wives” and that they also bore Lucifer as the brother of Jesus. In more recent years the Mormons have changed things to claim the Father has just one wife, who bore Jesus and Satan. The cult’s founder had 34 wives, many were just 14 years old.
If spreading the TRUE message of Jesus is paramount, we know advancing a Mormon will cause the lost to consider Mormonism. Meaning we’ve helped to advance a cult. I won’t be part of that and it is sad to see Dobson and others engaging in it.
No it’s not about “my” beliefs being threatened personally. It’s all about preventing the advancement of a cult. Christians are to promote the truth of Jesus and avoid advancing a lie. Advancing Romney advances a lie. Like it or not, whatever our President does causes the lost to consider it themselves. Which is why so many children now feel oral sex is OK, thanks to Bill Clinton. Let’s not add Mormonism to the list!

Omaha, if you cannot get your mind around the Mormon issue with Mitt, how about addressing the flip-flop issue?? Or hadn’t you considered that?? Certainly, you haven’t addressed the issue clearly.
I wonder if your support doesn’t consist mostly of a knee jerk reaction to IC’s understandable disconcertment with seeing “Christian” leadership ignore the cultic aspects of Romney’s beliefs??
What about Romney’s stance (or rather STANCES) on abortion?? Any of his contradictory stances you choose to address would be fine.

Hmmm … this is the same guy who went off about Fred Thompson over baptismal regeneration?

And to Mormons attempting to comment, forget about it! This is Christian business, we won’t be wasting time with your lies.

IC,
You make some very good points here but alas Omaha Ron is your typical flag waving republican willing to compromise his faith for the GOP. You see men like Falwell played a huge roll in this type of nonsense by forming ecumenical relationships with people who don’t have the faith the bible says we should. These people are republican first and christian second because if you notice they often use the constitution as their bible. These same folks are screaming about a public display of the 10 commandments as if a public display will lead the unsaved to Christ. They have left the weightier things undone like the arrogant pharisees who spoke of all the wonderful things he did for that which is of little consequence. We need the 10 commandments to be in our heart and not worry about public displays as the hypocrites do.People like Ann Coulter and Alan Keyes have people decieved because they have helped make christianity a political party which it is not.I do appreciate the fact that you are consistent with your views and pray that you will continue on doing what God has told you to do.You are one of the few who expose the political pimps.

Let’s just say I’ve been learning as I go
.
I had to learn myself that the new covenant takes us beyond those 10 commandments.
2 Corinthians 3:7-18 (New King James Version)
In Jesus Christ we are part of something much greater than “the law”. Never mind not committing murder or stealing, we are to love or neighbor as ourselves. Keeping one day “holy” via a set of legalistic rules is not a concern when you are working to do good every day. Jesus has written something better and greater on our hearts. Something we have in liberty and grace, while always working to do the will of God.

[...] And you see the political ecumenism of the religious right knows no bounds: Dobson may endorse Mormon Mitt Romney for President: James Dobson is Very Likely to Endorse Cult Member Mormon Mitt Romney for President, but Won’t Admit it Yet! Which is a reason why the Washington Post is able to slip a reference to the Mormon author in a post about Christian writers and get away with it. Once upon a time, Christian watchdog groups like Dobson’s would have been the first to complain. What is my main point? Like Independent Conservative said in Patriotic Ecumenicalism Versus Christianity, Christian political ecumenism is wrong, needs to be stopped and opposed. [...]
