The words Paul was inspired to recall regarding some hypocritical Jewish teachers are most fitting regarding what the Word of Faith and Prosperity false teachers have done.

In Christian terms, because of them, the name of the Lord is blasphemed among the unbelievers.

The false teachers have become so pathetic, that every late night comic can play their footage for laughs. Of course an unbeliever seeing it is not going to distinguish them (pimps) from us (true believers) who abhor such abuse of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Which is why it is important that we speak against false teaching. So that it is known that such nonsense on supposedly Christian TV is not the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So the unbeliever that might find Christ does so in Spirit and in Truth. Also for the good of those still lost in false teaching.
