That makes me want to fall over if I was standing and I know it’s not the Holy Spirit! To get up to speed, see this early post and this one from yesterday.
Suit seeks up to $1.65M for fall
|
In earlier testimony it was asserted that Dadd has medical bills in excess of $5000.
It’s all a big bag of what not to do:
1) Church pastors should not tell people it’s OK to fall out.
2) Church pastors should not encourage that by saying it’s OK and the deacons are trained to play catch. (This is where Dave Williams created a legal issue for the church.)
3) Members should not be falling out, even if they are told it’s OK.
4) I’m just going to say it again, members should not be falling out even if they are told it’s OK!
5) The church should call 911 when someone is hurt. The woman’s head was bleeding and they were trying to sop up blood. Pretty obvious there was a problem. Even if they wanted to do anything else, they still could have called 911 and should have called 911.
6) (And this is actually 2) Christians should not sue each other, which includes the church, but with that the church that condones out of order behavior should not play games if their out of order behavior causes injury. They should pay up. Someone getting injured and the need to consider “catching” shows things were not right. Christians falling back is not of God. And you who have been to church meetings where this stuff happens, know they probably had some blankets on the side to cover up women who fall out, so they don’t kick their dress up while on the floor and show something personal.
The church not paying swiftly put Dadd in a financial pinch with no insurance, which only leads her to sue. One out of order act (suggesting people can fall) leads to another (people falling), leads to another (church playing games with people hurt), leads to another (hurt people filing lawsuits). None of it should have happened, but you know, the man with the mic helped get the ball rolling downhill fast. Even if Dadd is a gold digger, the man with the mic (Dave Williams) opened the door for this lawsuit. Glad I’m not on the jury.
Just a mess!
Folks, please lets stop allowing this type of activity at church meetings. The unsaved seeing Christians falling around on the floor does NOTHING to spread the message of Jesus Christ. And truth be told, it’s nothing more than an emotional high for the person who falls.
