Tennessean Newspaper Exposes Personal Information of Hand Gun Owners!

To me, this is an intimidation effort and I think the TN legislature should take action to prevent a Liberal Left-Winged Hack Job Fish Wrapper like the Tennessean from ever being able to do this again.

Carry Permit Holders’ Personal Information Published

Thousands of handgun owners said they are upset after a Tennessean article put their personal information on the front page.

The article was about handguns, but contained in the article was a database showing all the people who have a permit to carry concealed weapons.

The Tennessean removed the database listing handgun carry permit owners. The Tennessean?s editor did not return phone call requests for an interview.

A common thread of handgun carry permit owners is a clean record because residents cannot obtain a permit without one.

The newspaper fish wrapper had a URL to the database that was online. People with the cleanest records in the state had their personal information exposed freely to the public, because they have a carry permit. Criminals are stopped by law abiding gun owners often because the criminal does not know beforehand that the law abiding citizen is armed. Now the Tennessean has exposed the most law abiding of gun owners.

It is sick what the Tennessean has done.
