So I saw a clip of Paula White on YouTube and I must say something about it here. Because this is a PRIME EXAMPLE of how prosperity doctrine, word of faith, pulpit pimps attempt to mix darkness and light to justify their agenda, greed!
So watch the clip and then I’ll offer my analysis. She’s basically giving her take on the apostle of Jesus Christ named Paul.
First of all, Paul wrote and would probably say to Mrs. Paula White, that he gave guidelines via God on who should run a church and it didn’t include her.
Titus 1:5-11 (New King James Version)

Paul operating in the Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ to glorify God, asked for the blameless HUSBANDS of one wife to be elders and bishops, not the wives. He said bishops/elders should not be self-willed, but Mrs. White speaks of what she thinks that she can do (I’ll detail later). Paul said someone running a church should not be greedy for money, while White’s ministry is all about earthly wealth. She’s the one peddling earthly favor with God. She does not express sound doctrine. She is a deceiver, teaching things she should not teach for dishonest gain and her mouth must be stopped, as Paul noted. This post will help to shut down some of the lies from her mouth, by revealing the truth!
Unlike Paula, PAUL never peddled the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:17 (New King James Version)

Paula claims that PAUL is “boring”. I’ve heard many people claim that they can’t preach like Paul, but Mrs. White is basically claiming that Paul can’t preach like her. (Thank God Paul never preached like Paula.) Paul always spoke rather humbly of himself, unlike Paula.
Paula says that Paul preached for “24 hours” and a man feel asleep from boredom and died falling out of a window, then Paul was able to through the power of the Holy Spirit raise the man back up to life. Here is what the scripture says.
Acts 20:7-12 (New King James Version)
|
The scripture does not say that Paul preached “24 hours”, but that he preached until midnight. True a man fell, died and Paul was able to work a miracle from God through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit and raise the man up from the dead. I see this as an example of God being gloried and Paul laboring hard in the Gospel, not him being “boring”. The scripture notes that the man was overcome with sleep, but does not attribute this to Paul being “boring”.
Of what Paula claimed was 24 hours of preaching from Paul, which was really until midnight, she says:
Anybody who can’t say it in 30 minutes can’t preach well.
This is the view of a person who feels the Gospel should be delivered via microwave oven!
While on one hand she tells some truth and offers some complements, she also fuses in lies and twists scripture. And she only gets worse as she goes.
She claims we need the “power” of God rather than to be “preached” to more and more conferences. While she only offers half baked preaching and takes part in conferences. (More about her and conferences later in this post.) She does not even know HOW to grow in the Spirit. Spiritual growth does not come via her hooping sessions, where she postures around and claims she’s “about to preach up in here”. She does not recommend people continually read the scriptures, to learn more and check her statements as the people of Berea did with Paul in Acts 17:10-12 and she does not mention that these things come via fasting and prayer, as Jesus says in Matthew 17:14-21. Of course the disciples were getting The Word direct from the The Word, who is Jesus. We need to continually read the scriptures, study and be led by the Holy Spirit.
I thought it was interesting how she mentioned II Corinthians 4:7, but when speaking of that scripture, she failed to mentioned the portion that says “and not of us”. It was as if she was speaking of how she’s got a treasure to “show forth the excellency of the power of God”, but fails to show the humbleness of Paul, by failing to include that it’s not about her. And when you realize how twisted she in with scripture, you notice she’s got no power at all. The most POOOOWWWER she has is to scream the word “POOOOWWWER”, while contorting her arms in various positions.
Paula claims that Paul told her in Galatians 3:13, that she’s getting the Blessing of Abraham and that to her means God’s gonna make you rich, the head and not the tail, bless people who bless you and mess with people who mess with you. But when we read that scripture, we see a totally different message.
Galatians 3:13-14 (New King James Version)
|
Notice it is a promise of the Spirit through faith, not a promise of earthly wealth. The promise for we who accept Christ is forgiveness of our sins and eternal life, to join with God in Heaven. Not to be like Donald Trump. (And you’ll see why I mention Trump later.) Jesus never promises us earthly wealth, but riches in Heaven. The Jesus that Paul spoke of said:
Matthew 6:19-21 (New King James Version)
|
While the Jesus and Paul that Paula White speaks of talk about earthly gain. This is why the prosperity doctrine spins to total heresy. It speaks of another Jesus and a totally different promise from a covenant with rewards that were never promised. Hebrews 8 notes that the new covenant has better promises and Jesus says it’s about heavenly treasures. This is why the new covenant is better, but Paula White wishes to claim the earthly spoils of the old covenant.
As with all Word of Faith heresy speakers, she totally trashes Romans 4:17 and says “calling into existence things that are not” applies to HER!!! But let’s read the scripture for ourselves.
Romans 4:17 (New King James Version)
|
Notice it is GOD who calls things into existence, we are never given such a promise. This scripture is fully abused in the Word of Faith/Prosperity movement. Notice, they are attempting to place themselves on a godlike level. Again, they are speaking of another who is not my Jesus, because they claim things my Jesus never promised to man.
So of course when she speaks of Ephesians 3:20, she’s thinking of earthly gain. Sure she’ll take riches in Heaven too and anyplace else she thinks she can get them, but she’s focused on an earth based system of gain and she claims a covenant that is not the true new covenant, that was established with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ and his apostles never promised her what she’s telling everyone they will get. She is a false teacher.
Now, given Paula White is all about earthly gain, you should not be surprised that she’s a featured speaker as a pastor at a Real Estate seminar that will feature people like Donald Trump. Her session at the seminar is titled “Why God Wants You To Be Rich with Paula White”. She’s not spreading the message of Jesus Christ. She’s spreading a message of earthly gain and hoping to empower money changers to earn more money.
It is so ironic that she mentions:
Romans 12:1-2 (New King James Version)
|
When she is totally conformed to this world. And imagine if she went a verse further:
Romans 12:3 (New King James Version)

Christians are being mistaught. Heathens are being taught a Jesus different from the one who warned the rich in Luke 6:24. And plenty of people, even heathens speak well of Paula White, something else Jesus warned about in Luke 6:26.

ohh my,
Where does she get off saying she is a better preacher than the Apostle Paul? I used to like Paula way back but I think she is now certifiable. What an apostate. Oh may God bring conviction to her conscience before it’s too late. Paula, Paula, Paula, have shame. You have departed from the faith.
