This is just so sad. The Liberals feel they have made some sort of great victory, when they have only approved the expansion of slaughter around the world. Intentional, targeted slaughter of the most innocent of lives.

Oh, but with the slaughter more of those Mexicans will have more money, money, money. People will be so happy when it appears that Mexico has more people with wealth, but at what price? How many babies will be murdered under government sanction to achieve that goal? I’ve been all for economic growth in Mexico, but not like this.
Those Liberals who claim victory might mock the church for opposing them now, but our Lord has not delayed his coming.

The spread of the slaughter of innocents is a work of darkness. Those who endorse such claim to stand for freedom, but they’ve only freed up enough rope to hang their souls, if they don’t repent of this sinful activity.
The blog A Little Leaven - A Museum of Idolatry has the details. These celebrity preachers (what an oxymoron that is) have the public eye and don’t seem to be using it to promote the message of Jesus Christ. Instead, such preachers have become nothing more than the latest positive message consultants, who make everyone feel good about themselves. The blog detailing this notes:
…
We here at the Museum of Idolatry have no idea which Bible PASTOR Warren was reading from in order to come up with these suggestions.Maybe we’re just a bunch of unsophisticated dolts who are not hip to the ‘new thing’ God is doing but doesn’t God’s Word say that ’self love’ is the source of humanity’s problems instead of the solution?

Now if it’s all about Jesus, isn’t that what a pastor should be telling the world, when he is allowed to address an audience outside of the church where he’s the head pastor? I think so.
Hat tip to Calvin Taylor who comments over at Pulpit Pimps. I saw this in one of his comments there.
Reader Jerry sent me some links to information that is startling to say the least.
Did you know that in 1990, Jeff Atkinson the chairman of the American Bar Association’s Child Custody Committee estimated that about 50% of all child custody cases under review by state appellate courts in the USA involved a Jehovah’s Witness parent? Many cases involved and still do involve a Jehovah’s Witness parent who refuses to allow their own child to have a life saving blood transfusion. Many of them have been so brain washed by the cult of the Watchtower Organization (Watchtower Bible & Tract Society), that they would literally watch their own child suffer to literal death, before approving of a blood transfusion. All because of the cult’s very wrongheaded teaching on the matter. Because of this, hospitals move to assume guardianship of the sick child quickly, in an effort to save the child’s life. Nobody likes seeing a parent’s right to make decisions for their child stripped away, but when the child’s life is in danger it’s right to save the child regardless of the parent’s protests. The child’s right to life is paramount! Too bad this is not an option for babies still in the womb, but at least for babies out of the womb, hospitals are refusing to just watch babies die.
Check out this first site, that list details from literally hundreds of court cases. They are all cases involving Jehovah’s Witnesses, that have an impact on children. I found this write-up from a man who is an expert at dealing with these sort of issues in court.
Having known some Jehovah’s Witnesses, I knew they had some issues with common events such as birthdays. I didn’t know how some Jehovah’s Witnesses go to court over it, when their co-workers give them a hard time about the issue. That among other employment issues specific to Jehovah’s Witnesses. Check out this other site that details many employment related cases.
To be a group that takes a hands off policy towards government, they sure seem to spend a lot of money and effort in the judicial branch defending their cult. They are viewed as the “favorite sons” of the ACLU.
When it comes to Jehovah’s Witnesses and court cases, before this you probably heard about how they’ve battled in court for the right to nag you at your doorstep. Maybe this additional information will help you gain a fuller perspective of what cults do in our legal system.

update 4/24/2007 1:19AM: Some might claim that JW policy on blood has changed, but here is what you will find right now on the cult’s official web site.
To please God, we must avoid blood transfusions, unclean habits, and unnecessary risks
…
6. Is it wrong to accept a blood transfusion? Remember, Jehovah requires that we abstain from blood. This means that we must not take into our bodies in any way at all other people’s blood or even our own blood that has been stored.
…
That’s right, they are even against you storing your own blood. They’ve taken a biblical prohibition against drinking blood and turned it into a ban against saving lives via blood transfusion.
Because when he speaks, it compels us who know the truth to have to speak up and correct his lies. I have other material I intend to post about, but must take time to address the words of the one respected as America’s Preacher, because he is truly America’s deceiver! I’ve already pointed out how this liar twist scripture to encourage the downtrodden to send money to his cronies. How he rolls in the ill gotten gains himself. And the overall sacrilege of his teachings. Now here I must post again, praying that nobody falls for his claims that Christians should take comfort in yoga and ?breath prayers?. I’m not surprised that ?breath prayers? were recommended by the misguided man named Rick Warren. Know that the Lord speaks against repeating words mantra-style.

Notice, Jesus said, do not do as the heathen do. Jakes realizes that nowhere in the Bible is yoga recommended. That to meditate on the Word of God is not yoga. We study and pray for help from the Lord, but we don’t do yoga and incantations as people involved in eastern cults do. We should not even mimic the ways of heathens.
I also find it interesting, when Jakes makes statements like “your current religion”. It’s as if he’s also offering council to people outside of the Christian faith, on how to remain true to something other than the teachings of Christ. He knows his post in Newsweek?s On Faith section is read by more than just Christians. It’s not like an apostle of Jesus Christ who wrote a letter to a fellow Christian or Christian church in the Bible. So Jakes knows he is offering generic terms, that will serve people who reject Jesus.
If we know it was born from sinful practices, we Christians should not participate. We know others participating are not doing it to the glory of God and their participation will not draw them to Christ, but have them more acclimated to the actions of heathens. Our participation might lead others to embrace the activity of heathens. And for our own sakes we don’t do things that we know are from cults.

The apostle Paul suffered more abuse than airplanes owned by T.D. Jakes and Paul was able to endure through prayer, study of scripture and the grace of God. He never used unclean practices like yoga. I must again agree with my brother healtheland, it is sinful for T.D. Jakes to recommend the actions of heathens while he claims the Christian faith. But as I’ve said before, I don’t see Jakes as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even in his current actions he continues to fail the qualifications for the title “bishop”.

His mouth would be best if he kept it closed.
We all enjoy much of the material over on the blog Hot Air. Michelle Malkin has worked hard, literally from her own closet to make it a success. Just the same, I have to mention that fellow Conservative blogger Allahpundit needs to recognize God is real and give up on his atheist views. At the very least he needs to show some respect for Christian values.
In a recent post Allahpundit has come out in defense of atheists, because he is upset that the American Family Association blames a godless culture for issues that plague our society.
I don’t agree with the AFA’s efforts to peddle the video for donations, but Allahpundit there is truth in it that I can only pray you will one day understand.
There is a God and there is a Satan. Any society that continues to reject God is going to further reflect the attributes of Satan. Oh, but your stock portfolio might look nice if that’s what its all about.
I debated between making a simple comment over at Hot Air or making a full post here about this. I’ve made comments at Hot Air in the past when a Christian viewpoint is mocked, so I felt I should stop with simple comments and make a full post about this.
I think it’s great when Michelle does things like highlight a movie that is based on Christian values. I just wish her site was not used as a tool to bash our values when Christians note that turning away from God leads to moral decay.
Having said all that, again I must say it is JUST WRONG for the AFA to peddle this video. In promoting good values and a message about God, they are using something made for good to make money. They should have worked with a site like YouTube, to make this full video freely available. Let those who wish to see it view some truth without having to come out of pocket for it. God’s truth is free of charge and no man should try and stand in the way of it with their hand out. If people appreciate the work of the AFA, they will make donations, but the AFA should not turn a good work into a marketing stunt.
