Let’s keep in mind that Jesus is alive, so asking what Jesus “would” do is a silly question given he lives in the present, not just the past. He has given instructions to man and is with all who love him.
I make this post to prove he does not wish for us to simply listen to what a preacher or anybody else says about God and not question it. We should cross check every word they say and ensure it lines up with scripture. If it does not, we should recognize the words from that preacher are false. If presented with the opportunity, we should seek to help the preacher or whoever they are correct their teaching.
This is why I ask, What Would The Berians Do? The people of Berea did not fall for any person telling them just anything about God.

They were good people, because they studied and knew the scriptures. So when Paul came along, they could give him an eager audience. They knew if his words were bogus that they’d find it out themselves. Because they checked the scriptures DAILY, to ensure Paul was telling them the truth. That’s how WE need to be about people we listen to telling us about God. In fact, that’s how you should be about this blog as well.
Now when somebody is not talking correct, if you have the opportunity, you set them straight. Some people claim Christianity puts down women. On the contrary, two women named Aquila and Priscilla had to set straight a man who had an incorrect view of the Gospel. [Correction, Aquila was a man, hat tip to GraceKim. Even better, since anyone, male or female can offer correction, just as GraceKim did regarding this post.]
Acts 18:24-28 (New King James Version)

They set Apollos straight and then allowed Apollos to use his skills to spread the Gospel correctly. While men like Apollos were out speaking in public, powerhouse women like Aquila and Priscilla were keeping them in check. [Correction, Aquila was a man, hat tip to GraceKim. Even better, since anyone, male or female can offer correction, just as GraceKim did regarding this post.]
We should all strive to follow the example of the Berians and make the most of opportunities to ensure the Gospel is being spread correctly like Aquila and Priscilla.

Do as I say, not as I do.
Aquila was a man (Acts 18:2). Had you any knowledge at all of the Bible or even read Acts, then you would have known that.

My mistake. And given my knowledge of the Bible, I know your form of correct does not mirror that of Priscilla. But thanks anyway.

And just an FYI GraceKim, I’ve read Acts 18:2 several times. I simply made an honest mistake when making this post.
